Nice room , poor breakfast
Ease of finding the accomodation, value for the money, and if you are interested in history the blind beggar pub is within walking distance from the property.
Breakfast a let down , sausages were obviously cooked the day or two before and reheated in the microwave, scrambled eggs were cold and congealed, hot water for drinks was luke warm . Apart from that the accommodation was fair .

As expected, wouldn't recommend.
Staff were friendly. Location (30 min walk to the Tower of London) was good. Bed was clean and very comfy. Towels and bathroom (except the shower) were clean. The kettle and tea and coffee and milk. The fridge was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast in the morning was better than expected.
Despite all the things mentioned above, it was the most depressing room I've ever stopped in. The room was tiny and at street level so blinds and curtains over the window were a necessity but it was the following that made it miserable: The carpet was filthy. I didn't want to take a shower due to the stains in one corner. The lampshade by the bed was badly stained. There was black mould covering the wall to the side of the wardrobe. The courtyard area was really grotty. Also the location is very residential, not touristy, not necessarily a bad thing but I'd have preferred a more touristy area. Hotel rooms in London were very expensive on that particular night due to concert. It was the cheapest I could find in the right area with a private bathroom, so the room was as expected but still 30% more expensive than a Travelodge near Barbican that I'd stopped in the previous month and would recommend.

Fairly priced hotel with a location well connected to transportation.
The hotel is conveniently located close to Shadwell Overground and DLR stations. There is also a bus stop right in front of the entrance.
The towel rack in the bathroom was falling off.

The price was good and for 1 night stay is had everything we needed.
The walls are thin so in the morning you could hear people moving around a lot and doors opening and closing
