Clean and comfortable
Nothing to dislike

The staff were pleasant and helpful and the evening menu was superb. The location overlooking the village green was very picturesque and cricket was being played during the early evening. The parking was both secluded and secure with direct access to the car park down a small flight of outside steps. The food was excellent the only disappointment being that there was no option of breakfast.

Excellent, comfortable warm room with good view over the green. Comfortable armchairs and large TV. Bath and shower. Cooker, microwave and fridge so first rate for self catering. Breakfast not in deal. Food available in Inn from lunch time onwards which was of a high standard
Entirely satisfied. No dislikes.

It wasnt obvious that breakfast wasnt included.

Good food in restaurant, nice bar area.
Price of room varies a lot. Sometimes can be expensive for what it is.
4.1
having a sitting room. Good dinners in the dining room. Pleasant staff and excellent service at dinner.
1. was disappointed that there was no breakfast and no information on alternative places for breakfast
2. while the room was cleaned I did find a sock under the coffee table in the sitting room (small detail but I saw it when standing at the fridge so should have been seen by cleaning staff)

location
key pad security door to the rooms didn’t shut
staff unavailable outside of pub opening times

Lovely village.
Noise from nearby road.

Manager was very helpful and friendly. We had a couple of minor requests that were dealt with efficiently and quickly. The "room" provided was a suite with more facilities than we had expected and was very comfortable.
Just one improvement that would help future guests using the cooking facilities would be to have a breakfast bar for serving food and extra work space.

Room was fantastic and so was the food!
Having the room done up daily would have been nice.

Our rooms were well appointed and spacious. The kitchenettes were a welcome bonus. The food was excellent and very generous portion sizes. The location is very peaceful and is very convenient for the M5
We found the beds a little too firm.

I could not find something to criticise .... even if I was paid !!
Room 10/10
Food 10/10
Experience 10/10
No issues of concern at all.
....Just a very slight opportunity for improvement..... elderly and un-fit people (like me) would find getting into and out of the very deep bath for a shower difficult. (This may have only applied to the room was stopping in) Handrails or steps for assistance would be a nice touch.

The room, lounge areA and kitchen were amazing. Bed was very comfortable.
The only thing wrong was the shower. There was almost no power and the water was barely warm, no matter where you turned the temperature. So wasn’t pleasant when having a shower.
Maybe breakfast should be offered within the price…whether it be a cooked breakfast by the bell or a hamper for us to make breakfast…normally within that price range there’s some kind of breakfast
4.1
Friendly staff. Location. Cleanliness of the room. Kitchen really good with everything one needs. Milk, orange juice, tea coffee and water provided on arrival.
Kitchen extraction outside the windows - noisy and smelly on most of the day until 9:30pm.
No hairdryer.
Only seating was a bed settee which was uncomfortable. The 2 arm chairs shown in the photos were not there. Only coffee table to eat from despite a kitchen being supplied. 2 tall bar stools were surplus to requirements as you cannot sit at the work surface. The breakfast bar shown in photos has been made inoperable as an oven has been put under.
The bed was a little lumpy but clean.
Lighting very poor. Only one lamp at bedside with low power lighting. Unable to read anywhere in the rooms as lighting poor.
Bathroom shabby but clean.
Very noisy floor boards throughout the suite. (No creeping about at night!)

The evening menu was exceptionally varied. Our food was delicious and of a very high standard. Our room was spacious and stylish with a good view. We had a kitchen corner with very good facilities.
We didn’t realise that the pub did not serve breakfast but were recommended to the local deli where we were able to buy what we required.

Only a short walk from towpath
Single beds and breakfast. Noise of traffic. Bath too large and no hand grips to get in ir out.
4.1
Being able to access the rooms from the car park without going through the hotel. Rooms were of higher standard than expected with kitchen facilities…love the location!
More veggie/vegan food on the menu perhaps..:

No early breakfast available. Brought our own cereal for breakfast. Room had fridge and crockery for customer use.
Nothing

They do not do breakfasts, even if you are prepared to pay extra. Once I realised this and bought myself something from the shop next door it was not a problem. They provide a good little kitchen in the room which is great for making snacks as well as breakfast.

Lovely room in a great location. Dinner in the pub was good, as was the beer. Slight disappointment that breakfast is not available at the moment. The facilities provided in the room were excellent.............but were not advertised. Had I known what was available, I would have provided some food of my own.
It's a pity that they were not providing breakfast.
4.1
Excellent food, great location and helpful, efficient staff
