The facilities and gardens are all beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and all our needs were met.
Coffee should be available in rooms even if guests are staying only for one night, that is basic everywhere. Also, there should be a microwave in every room. I have stayed at more affordable hotels and there is always a microwave. The food at the restaurant is not tasty, I would not consider having dinner there.

The beach is only 10 minutes walk, but there isn't any bar or restaurant. Very natural, beautifull, quiet beach.
If you wanna go to the town you need a car or taxi.

Good value for the price, very nice people!
Breakfast, noise from the Cleanning team, air condition, coffee in the room.

breakfast was great. Nice pool. nice dining room

We chose the hotel because of its central location between the two beaches and intentionally a bit out of the way. Nice personel.
The location was nearly unfrequented and we got the worst room. We could move to a better room. Rooms need to be refreshed.

A serious thing - they advertise a Family Suite. Two bedrooms. I specifically and importantly needed two bedrooms as I was travelling with a colleague I wasn't too familiar with. When we arrived, the family suite consisted of opening the door into a bedroom, that then went into another bedroom that then went into bathroom. So the person in the first bedroom needed to climb over the second person to go to the bathroom to get to the washroom - and there was no "suite" portion to "sit". Why does Green Acres come to mind. I am not sure if this is the hotels fault or Booking.com's but it was not good. We managed to get two single rooms at $500+ more but would have been stuck if these weren't available. The person at the front said "See, it says Family room, 2 bedrooms, and you booked it...". Ya' right. That was kinda' lousy. Once settled, the place was ok and grew on me but if you'd never been to CR before, the long walks to the beach would be daunting w/o a car.

We enjoyed the closeness to both beaches and the hospitality from Julio at the front desk.
When we got our room it was cleaned, however, a plate of old food had been forgotten in it. We were told restaurants would be nearby, this is not the case. You need to drive to central Samara in order to eat at any restaurant apart from the only at the hotel.

The location near the nicer Carrillo Beach and the grounds of the hotel. Very friendly staff. Quiet (not applicable to all rooms). The pool.
The rooms are very different. First we got probably the worst of all rooms (15), right next to the street, no balcony, bad Wifi.
The other room (6) was better by classes, had a balcony and seemed nicer and bigger. We didn't understand the room allocation - the hotel was never fully occupied.

The location was perfect
The breackfast poor. The building was old

Staff was friendly and helpful
The rooms are ok but a little old styled

Nice pool. Good location for quieter beaches. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Loft suite was very disappointing. Kitchen is not set up for self catering (no stovetop as advertised) so self catering not possible. Kitchen units and cupboards broken. Bedroom lights went on and off randomly. Bathroom tiny and dark with no window - not what you’d expect when paying for the biggest room/suite at the hotel. Restaurant overpriced and no atmosphere. Food took ages with only 8 people eating.

The breakfast every morning was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the beautiful swimming pool—we spent a good part of our stay poolside! The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the housekeeping coming daily to tidy things up for us.
We stayed in a loft suite and the stairs were very creaky. We didn’t rent a car so we had to call a taxi to get to and from town, but if we’d had our own transportation the location would have been perfect. We did walk to both nearby beaches which was convenient but a bit dangerous with young kids to be walking on a busy road.

Good breakfast. Beautiful pool area. The dinner special was very good. Small hotel. Definitely a boutique hotel so if you want local or rustic feel not for you.
.Our first room was very noisy.. Unsure what caused it. We moved rooms with no difficulty however. Location not beach front and long walk to carillo village or samara although short taxi ride.

very nice facility. cute and intimate.
the hotel manager was rude . on my first day I was scolded for soiling a bath towel due to medical condition and told they were new towels. I’ve never had a hotel question soiled towels. that is the point of being in a hotel. they provide clean towels and linens. each day I had to make multiple request to have the towels taken to laundry replaced with clean towels. there are basically three staff. a cook -manager and asssitant manager. nothing is accessible to guest without asking. Guest must request ice - and you get very small bucket. the hours they are available is 7am to 9am. on first night I arrived very late. no internet and the toilet would not flush. I had to request assistance to carry bag upstairs to second floor. no elevator. . the breakfast is nice however even this is very controlled by manager. every table the same size. yet you must sit at a table with the appropriate number of placemats. you are given two coffe pods per day and if you want more you are charged. no bottled water is provided. if they would focus more on guest relations and less on pinching Pennie’s. they would have an awesome place.

The hotel was our favorite of the five that we stayed at in Costa Rica. It's well run and the onsite manager Luis is attentive and personable. He is available to help in any way including booking tours and helped us find someone to repair a flat tire very inexpensively. The rooms were extremely clean, the beds were really comfortable and there was great water pressure. There's an inviting pool and a full service restaurant that served an included delicious breakfast each morning. The grounds are inviting and beautiful bougainvilleas flank the entrance. The hotel is ideally situated between beautiful and less populated Playa Carrillo and the more busy and fun Sámara.
Minor issues. The internet was a little weak but we did manage to stream videos to watch on our laptop. There are Nespresso-style coffeemakers that require little pods. Guests are provide one pod for their stay and additional pods cost $2 (however good coffee is part of the free breakfast starting at 7 am). Know that I would return to this hotel and recommend it to others.

One man carries out all the duties of the hotel, and al.ost alone. That is Luise, he is o e amazing person, all smile and happy. The hotel and facilities are decent, however, close to the main road. It is a 50 min walk to town taking the beach. We loved walking back on forth even at night, around 10 pm. As we see tons of crab trying to escape us.
Very close to the main road and it gets noisy in the wee hours of the morning

Super friendly staff, great swimming pool, very clean, comfortable bed, good location between the 2 beaches. We also had dinner and lunch at the hotel restaurant that were very good and not to pricey. It's not super fancy but its a great option for samara
Bathroom is a bit small, breakfast can be more varied

Louis the host was exceptionally friendly and service full. place was well designed and comfortable…
Our room was right on the main highway and quite noisy. We asked for a change of rooms and was told they were full.
