The pictures and description of the rooms was a lie. Wasn't sound proof and only 1 set of keys.

Beautiful room, clean and location was class. Great pub with friendly bar staff attached to accommodation, both are run by same person/people.

The young girl who greeted us on arrival was lovely and friendly and offered to help us up the stairs with my elderly mother and our luggage🙂
We thought it was good value for the money.we paid.
Were disappointed though as there was no hairdryer ( not good for the hair in windy Newcastle 😂) or rubbish bin in the room.
There was also a footprint on the duvet cover of the double bed and when I was making the single bed where my mother had slept and there was a large yellow stain on the fitted sheet.
It would make me wary of staying again unfortunately.

very cosy and warm
sheets were a little stained but not enough to be bothering us personally

Location was great.
The room was beside the bar next door which opened early to move empty bottles and bins.

We did not get a breakfast
To be able to come out of your room and go to the breakfast room there wasn’t any breakfast room
3.4
Tasty enough just not enough of it for the price we paid I’d expect a buffet style breakfast not what we were offered
The room was very dated the shape of the room was completely impractical it was old and creaky absolutely no attention to detail the noise at night was horrendous the tv didn’t work it was bar far the worst place I have ever stayed,it’s only saving grace was the location with it being on the beach and the staff were quite pleasant…..but wouldn’t go back if it was free ….

Good location to visit a friend living in Newcastle.
First room offered had no curtain on window looking onto back yard of pub. Second room has no heating. Reception located in nearby pub.

The shower and comfort of the bed
No heating in room. Place needs updating. Not particularly clean. Very late check in. No facilities to make or have breakfast. Wind coming through window. Damp patches on ceiling and door. Too expensive for what is on offer.

Just the location
Room needed a makeover painted from top to bottom

Upon arriving to our room following a wedding party it was clear the room had not been cleaned. This was apparent due to the shower being dirty, the carpet not being hoovered and the bed sheets being dirty including hairs within the bed as per the attached photos. As there seems to be no staff available in the bnb and as it was late we therefore had no alternative but to cover the pillow cases with towels due to the general cleanliness of the room.
We booked this room due to previous reviews mentioning the level of cleanliness which we valued highly due to the current circumstances with Covid-19 so feeling like we are sleeping on sheets that somebody had previously slept on was unacceptable.
Perhaps even more disappointing was the Havens ability to correspond with us. We issued a complaint the day after our stay which we never got response to. Upon calling them several times we continued to get excuses from staff at the attached bar telling us to 'call back another time'.
We wanted to handle the issue with them directly not through a review but the Haven have so far shown no sign to want to reconcile the issue.

It was nice and quiet.
No staff available other than the bar staff in O'Hares bar next door.

Quiet and well situated
Needed a little tlc.

Meal in bar next door was good and shower was hot.
Damp room, noisy, poor finish, damaged and basic furnishing, floor needs a hoover and then probably a shampoo shower door doesn't close properly room 4 downstairs - AVOID

Rooms were lovely and comfortable, while you need to check in, in the public house beside the property. We arrived at 2.50pm and told we couldn’t check in until 3pm which was fine we were happy to wait the 10 minutes and decided to have a drink and some food. We waited approximately 15 mins to order our drinks and another 30 minutes to order food.
Bar staff weren’t overly friendly, while younger floor staff seemed to be experiencing lack of guidance from their peers.
