Decepcionante...

O hotel é bem localizado,a maioria dos funcionários simpáticos,a comida do restaurante muito boa,o café da manhã muito bom. Os quartos são confortáveis menos os banheiros.

Os banheiros são uma catástrofe. Sem nenhum material de higiene tipo,cotonete,shampoo,condicionador,sabonete para tomar banho,touca de banho. Ao invés de chuveiros,ainda tem banheira,super escorregadia,com um chuveiro precário e um tipo de box de plástico velho que não funciona. O hotel não tem elevador,o que hoje em dia é fácil de instalar,até por fora do imóvel. As calefações são desligadas,à noite,provavelmente centralmente,para economizarem. Justo quando são mais necessárias. A recepção do hotel é precária,raramente se encontra alguém.

Schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage

Sehr ruhig gelegenes Hotel, saubere und ordentliche Zimmer und sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück völlig ausreichend und in Ordnung. Lager etwas außerhalb im grünen, einziger Lärm waren dort die Vögel und die gehen in Ordnung ;-) Zimmer Zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sauber in ordentlich.

Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt war die Größe des TV Gerätes. Ich brauche in einem Hotel ja kein 65 Zoll TV Gerät aber etwas größer als mein PC Monitor Zuhause sollte es dann doch schon sein. War für mich etwas schwierig vom Bett aus den Inhalt des TV´s zu folgen. Dieser dürfte grob geschätzt höchstens 24 Zoll gehabt haben.

Great litte gem of a hotel, Very smooth, very private ,very quiet, well fed and rested

Great little hotel. My Deutsche is not very good, but the staff were so nice and helpful and made it a very pleasant stay. The restaurant and food was very good and also the service. The buffet breakfast was also very good. great value for money and I would give great credit to the owners, I would definitely stay here again. So nice to have a good hotel with also a good restaurant. The rooms and facilities were very nice It was exactly as I expected.

Wonderful short stay in a beautiful old building.

Only restaurant open in the area and we were staying at the hotel for the night. No kidding, one of the best meals of my life, in a really comfortable and rustic ~900 year old building. Beautiful and unique stay. Oh and the staff was super friendly.

Mattress needs replacing. Could feel the springs. But I was so satisfied from dinner I didn’t care.

Quiet and peaceful, in the woods by the Rhine

The hotel is outside of the small town of Hohentengen, and right on the Rhine bicycle route. The surroundings are lovely, in the quiet woods, and a short walk to the river. Staff were nice and helpful, and the room was adequate, although a bit spartan. Fine for a one-night stay, though. Breakfast was good, with a decent assortment of cereals, breads and cheeses, and all the associated amenities.

While picturesque, the hotel had a bit of a disused feeling, lots of dusty corners and so on. There were only a few quests there when I stayed, so perhaps things hadn't really got going for the season yet.

Very nice property.

Cozy GuestHouse with a Restaurant on the ground floor. Very quiet location, surrounded by greens, about 150m from the Rhine Banks, at the DE/Swiss border. We stayed in the family room, on the last floor, the largest room in the property. It was spacious, with a large and comfortable bedroom and a living room that has a sofabed. We stayed 3 people but can accommodate 4. Very nice. Very good breakfast at the Wasserstelz Restaurant

That night/morning we stayed in, the WiFi connection did not work (no DNS service to surf the internet). The manager promised it will be fixed - but not on Sunday (the morning when I needed connection). Check-out time is 10h00 am - it could be later, like 12h00 noon to allow enjoying the river bank. You have to climb a few staircases to go to the top and largest room. Bring light luggage for that climb.

Wonderful, relaxing stay in beautiful countryside

The location (on the bank of the river Rhine, across the Swiss border, with green surroundings and vineyards), staff friendliness, clean and spacious room on the third floor, nice terrace to have breakfast and dinner.

As this is a listed building, guests should be aware of the following: there is no elevator (luckily, the manager helps with the luggage), no air conditioning/fan (which was a drawback with outside temperatures of over 30°C), and some (bearable) noise of planes en route to nearby Zurich airport. Yet, these facts would not stop me from going back to this hotel.

Perfect !!!

Beautiful 300 year old building with modern equipment. I was excited, I stayed here on business all week. Thanks covid, the restaurant was closed, but I had a delicious breakfast in my room every day like a king.
