The hotel needs demolishing everything is tired and had it's wallpaper peeling off walls very bad workmanship appalling!!!!!!
It was disgraceful should not be on booking .com so overcharging customers its not worth £50
2.2
The beds and location were ok as they were near the beach
We had to pay for parking, the room didn't appear to have been cleaned properly previously there were bits on the floor, I went to hang something up in the wardrobe and the rail fell down. There was also only wifi in the lobby, overall given that for just me and my daughter poor value for money.

The Royal Bath hotel served good breakfasts and was in a great location .
The Britannia group was hopeless . originally we were booked to stay at one of their sister hotels , when I rang two days before I was told it was closed due to housing asylum seekers . I wasn’t informed about this previously. I asked to speak to the manager , the receptionist didn’t know when he would be there or his name ! After I made a few phone calls I was told I was stopping at one of their other hotels . We arrived there and was told that we weren’t stopping there ! Then told to go to The Royal Bath hotel . There was no communication with me to let me know what was happening and very unhelpful staff on reception . I had to do all the ringing around trying to find out what was going on . The room at the Royal seemed very nice until the next morning when we rolled back the duvet and saw how heavily stained it was all over ! The key cards for both rooms had to be changed twice because they wouldn’t work which was very annoying having to go down 3 flights of stairs to get them replaced . I have sent numerous emails to the company and heard nothing!

very helpful staff and a decent room

Not a lot
This place is just party central. Kept awake all night by rooms close to us being loud until the early hours, some all night. Parking is VERY limited. Be prepared to pay a small fortune to park on the street. Would not stay here again

My booking was transfered to your sister hotel the day before arrival, the early checkin hadn't been sorted and they wanted to charge me extra. The room wasn't ready. The bed was tiny not really a double so not a brilliant nights sleep. The carpark we over looked was noisy, we paid to park over night but there wasn't enough space to park. I was up early as running the bournmouth 10k so not a happy bunny. I won't be staying again, next year.

The fact they moved me to a sisterhood who's hotel was disgusting

Having a walk in shower.

The place seems okay at first, passageways are fresh etc the lift is just mad two people with a suitcase can just get in and we are not large.
Guess like other hotels in Bournemouth it attracts large numbers of stag parties, very load and hotel staff just unable to deal with it at all.
The morning we left the hotel was getting ready to close to the public to be handed over to the home office!!! some guest were a bit annoyed at being moved without request to one of the companies other hotels,
Anyway its a great spot where it is, just a shame the as with all Britannia hotels its always understaffed and needs upgrading. but I guess the owner wants to remain named the worst hotel group in the UK.
The good news is people wont be able to book with them as it seems so many of their hotels are now run by the home office.
The lifts and the smell of old food

All round.. was OK.
Dirty room .. to start .. but did change rooms ..

Awful place, rude staff, bedroom was like a sauna, only 1 window would open, beds were 2 singles pushed together bathroom floor was so dirty, no bath mat to stand on, shower dribble water, we didn't have breakfast because when we tried to book the reply was "just come down in the morning and see if there is a table available " and we were moved to this hotel without even being asked 1st, they assumed we were ok with it, disgusting hotel and staff are vile. STAY AWAY.
Everything read above going to complain to the chain for a refund as this was not the hotel we chose we were moved here without being asked 1st.

HOTEL DOUBLE BOOKED
Earlier Notice and not on the Day of arrival change of hotel 3 times not acceptable

I didn’t like anything about the hotel
The hotel rooms were very small, the bed wasn’t a double it was far too small for 2 people. The bath in the bathroom had dirt, mould & scum under the shower screen, the lampshades were both crushed, they looked like they had been sat on & just thrown on top they wasn’t even on straight. Considering COVID & the fact they were supposed to be clean & sanitised this certainly had not happened.
The rooms were very hot & we had to ask for fans, we couldn’t breathe at night.
It was £5 to park in the car park & there wasn’t enough spaces so people were having to park on the street.
The staff were all foreign & rude, not helpful at all.
I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

the lift to the third floor the breakfast arrangements TV worked OK + free wifi - the shower worked well
The room was "tired" the bed was hard the bathroom door didn't shut properly only 1 chair with a broken back no towel to place on the bathroom floor the bar wasn't manned and we had to go to a sister hotel for our evening meal.

Nothing
The room was filthy had alot of hairs on the bed not been changed

The staff is pretty friendly. The location is the only good thing about this hotel, it’s only 10 minutes walk to beach.
This has been a pretty disappointing experience for us. The pictures do not show real rooms, furniture and the room their selves are older than they look like, although they are pretty clean. The lifts are very very small (just two persons could use it and hardly with baggage) and they are also slow. Another fact that was also disappointing is that breakfast hours are not shown on breakfast room door or anywhere you can actually see them easy. So for our second morning breakfast hour has changed and nobody told us so we went down for breakfast in time but the buffet was already empty before the breakfast ended (we were there half an hour earlier).
2.2

The location of the hotel was good as its not far from the seafront, and the staff were friendly.
The parking at the hotel was atrocious! The car park is very small we were unable to park there at all for the duration of our stay. Instead we had to pay extra to park on one of the nearby roads. The car park's entrance and exit were permanently blocked by other cars who couldn't find parking spaces either but had just left them where they could blocking everyone in!
The hotel is very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. The decor and furniture in the rooms are very old-fashioned. We had a very tiny room with the double bed against the wall in the corner of the room. The bed wasn't very comfortable and unfortunately we had restless nights because of it. There was a lot of noise from the guests next door and it didn't help having the head of the bed against the wall to the adjoining room. The walls must be very thin as we could even hear them talking, and when they came out of the room, the door to their room would slam. Our window looked out onto a flat part of the roof and the people in the room above us kept throwing bread out onto the roof for the seagulls and we were woken up early by all the noise the seagulls were making outside our window.
