Location was great. Size of rooms good.
Lighting in rooms too dark. Breakfast OK. Sausage and bacon small and didn't look fresh or edible.

The 2 guys at reception are amazing. Super nice, always there to help you from morning to night.
Breakfast is cooked just for you and you can choose from 6-7 items on a menu. They have a water cooler so you can fill your bottle for the day.
Night market is 5 min away, very easy to walk anywhere in town, but tuk-tuk are close-by if you need. Hotel is in a charming and quiet little street, 2 min from the Mekong. They rent bikes and scooters. Easy and cheap to have your laundry done by the hotel or by a number of places down the street.
Everything was great! :)

This place was okay and well located near the centre of the town and close to the Mekong river. The room I had was small but the bed was comfortable enough. The biggest problem for me was the tiny safety deposit box which was not bolted down and therefore was "portable". This meant I had to carry my valuables with me wherever I went, which became tiresome with the weight of a small laptop, which I needed to have with me for work purposes.
The staff were very helpful though and tried their best to make something better than it was.
The room could do with a makeover and the bathroom was basic to say the least. Breakfasts were okay but nothing special. The overall experience was okay but could have been so much better. At £50 a night it was expensive. I moved to another hotel afterwards which was nearby and was better and 20% cheaper.
Nothing more to add

It would be just great, staff was so helpful to even get me some medicine when I was too sick to go out, but before our planned of check out we were informed that there was an overbooking and we out of a sudden needed to find another acommodation and move there. It was announced to us during breakfast, only two hours before check out hours while I was still being extremely sick.
This was really dissapointing, especially because our stay would just be great otherwise.

only the location because it is close to everything i needed.
on our second night at 01:30 am i heard a loud banging noise which woke me up from my sleep. it went on for 15 mins which sort of terrified us, it sounded like someone was trying to break in. So we decided to call the reception and they told us the water heater next door broke and they had to fix it which of course they chose to fix it in the middle of the night and it could not wait until dawn. they also told us they were finishing but no.
it went on for hours and i was super tired as those noise kept me up until 3:30 am. when i woke up at 8am the noise and fixing still went on.
it was very unprofessional and of course they did not care whether the entire event was an concern for us.
i am not going to stay here again.

Charming hotel with a period look, the staff were helpful and courteous. Good value for money, easy walking distance to the main street and the river. I would stay gain.
The entrance is a bit confusing when you first arrive, and lugging suitcases was a bit of a pain.
The rooms need some maintenance

The hotel building felt both traditional and cozy made of dark wood, the breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us pay for train tickets.

The location was the only thing good there.
First of all, the room that was given to us was not the same room we sew in this site. we pay alot of money and got a different room, when I talked to the reception they just told me its the same but modern room. its wasnt. they put us
in the first room in this hostel, inches away from the reception and the entry so we can hear everyone that came in.
breakfast was minimum. over all, bad expreince to open our trip in Laos.

Location is excellent, 100m from center near Joma Bakery, my favorite place and Mekong river bank, morning market and night market. Easy to walk around even go alone.
Might be price is not nice to compare with service as expect. Staff slow to pick up phone which call internationally.

Great location. Good breakfast. Very helpful reception staff. Full marks to the cleaning staff who moved my bag and my forgotten earrings when I changed rooms
I had 2 different rooms over a 3 night stay. The upstairs twin single had a renovated bathroom with plentiful hot water, The downstairs king bed room was more spacious but the shower was tepid ( the mornings were cold) and the 2 power points were 1 inch above the mattress and in the wardrobe, making the provided kettle completely useless. Both rooms were very dark.

Bedroom size was great, the decoration and the location were great. The balcony was super nice.
Breakfast quality could be better, cereal with banana was disappointing, the banana pancake was the only good substantial western option for tourist.

Spacious room, very helpful staff, and is close to a popular area. Also nice breakfast.
Cockroaches in the room. Seems like cleaning spray isn't helping a lot.

We booked a family room but when we arrived this room was not available. We were put in a side building, initially for the same price as the family room even though the room was way smaller and didn’t have a balcony. Also, the room smelled a bit funky and the towels smelled horrible. After a conversation with the staff (the manager was not available) we would get a discount and we would get the family room the next day. The next day there was no discount (they’ve just gave us the normal price of the smaller room and called it a discount). The family room was available then, but we had such a bad experience that we’ve decided to go to another hotel. In the end, after long conversations, we did get the discount.
