Gorgeous looking hotel.
Clean rooms.
Delicious buffet.
My check-in during the night was not smooth. I didn't get any information about the hotel at the time.
The sunset tour organised at the hotel was horrible, crowded, and not fun at all.

Staff are lovely, helpful, well trained and professional
Especially beach boys, Senda and a Kenyan woman on reception
Location is really good, close to town, lovely beach, close to good restaurants and the main club.
Beach kept clean and security on beach have a hard job but do it very well- compliment
Breakfast area is beautiful building
Beds were good with mosquito nets
Bathroom and rooms good size and well equipped
Good showers (occassionally not enough hot water in the evenings)
Public toilets are kept clean and tidy, showers available near reception for use
Gardens, pools are lovely and well maintained and very nice.
Pools are lovely.
Security guards worked hard to keep beaches clear from local sales people (not easy but much needed and appreciated)
Group activity/entertainment (live music, football game with masi people perahps)
Little to do in the evenings-pool table was super old/not in use, no other options like darts, yoga, dance lessons, not really family orientated
No happy hour, bar area not lively in the evenings so you may want to go elsewhere.
Water in hotel smelt of sewers at times
More diversity in guests-nationality was mainly italian people which did not very inclusive/diverse
Map of site, facilities, missing explanation/info can be simply resolved.
Noise from Termites at night in the room next door, people needed to be moved out so I would check this issue has been resolved. The hotel team were very responsive once raised.
Food buffet and lunch menu has little variance so if you are staying tehre for a while you will want to eat else where. Quaility is good but having to pay for a cappucino in the morning as it was not included in the breakfast was a shame
Missing places to dry clothing in rooms so everyone hangs clothing on balconys which does spoil the view.
Massages are very expensive in comparison to other places in tow.

A lovey hotel in a fantastic spot on a beautiful beach.Lovely early morning beach walks. The hotel has security guards who patrol the beach and ensure only My Blue guests can enter the hotel grounds. Three lovely swimming pools with one- infinity pool- overlooking the beach.A great spot to relax and people watch.Lots of sunbeds even when full. The sunsets are directly ahead and stunning. You can walk along the beach at night for 5- 10 mins where there are bars and restaurants with a great relaxed vibe. Food is good quality and plentiful..they have different set ups each night for meals, sometimes setting up the restaurant on the beach. The effort the staff go to is incredible! There was traditional entertainment at night. We did not take evening meal but could take ad- hoc for $20 per person, so we mixed these nights with meals locally..Mama Mia restaurant was grea and loved Makofi restaurant. The staff at My Blue restaurant and bars were really friendly.Prepare for the areas around the hotels in Zanzibar to be unkempt..at first we were disappointed with our arrival at My Blue -however- we have since seen far worse in Zanzibar and My Blue is a great mix.Its top end mid range..not the luxury of Royal Zanzibar but then you are not paying those prices !
We moved to Paje..didn't like it (very windy- no sunsets- no relaxing beach due to wind) so are going back to My Blue for 2 more nights. We know that we will have a lovely experience here to end our holiday.
We are very fussy English guests and we found My Blue to have everything we needed. Enjoy!
Breakfast had loads of choice but for English people it would be good to have consistent options eg bacon and baked beans each day instead of just one each day.The egg stations are great.
The Masaii on the beach are a bit annoying but just be firm and polite and keep walking! The security guards were seen to step in if they can see guests getting hassled.

The staff are incredible and always willing to help. Special thanks to Saleem, Juliet, and Alfred from the restaurant.
The location is nice, with beach access, but overall our stay was disappointing.
I’m writing this review as honestly as possible, considering the wonderful people working at MyBlue Hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is not up to standard. The rooms are outdated, not particularly clean, and cheaply constructed. The furniture is old and creaky, and the toilets and showers are reminiscent of those found in a petrol station. The main restaurant offers buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but the quality is mediocre and unappealing.
The gym is perhaps the most disappointing aspect. It has only two treadmills, both of which are around 20 years old and non-functional, along with dusty, outdated iron weights. It’s a stretch to even call it a ‘gym.’ While the overall facility layout looks decent, the quality of the furniture, rooms, and amenities is severely lacking.
On the positive side, the staff are incredible and always willing to help. Special thanks to Saleem, Juliet, and Alfred from the restaurant—you made our stay somewhat bearable despite the poor facilities. However, the lack of basic amenities, like only having one iron for the entire hotel without an ironing board, was frustrating.
The location is nice, with beach access, but overall our stay was disappointing. The hotel desperately needs a complete refurbishment, including new furniture and better pool maintenance—the pool was too dirty to use, with dirt and insects floating on the surface. Overall, I would rate this as a 2-3 star hotel, not the 4 stars they claim.

Ambience
The reception staff was impolite and indifferent
There could have been more options for food specially for vegetarians

Ubytování u pláže a na jedné z nejhezčích pláží na Zanzibaru. Byli jsme tu už 2x a přijeli by jsme znovu :-)
Drahé obědy a večeře.

Tutto bellissimo.

The hotel is located in the most beautiful area of Zanibar, the beach was beautiful and non-tidal. The journey from Zanzibar town takes a bit over 1 hour and only the last 3 kilometers are bumpy and non-bitumen. The hotel is beautiful and has African feel to it. The rooms are spacious and very clean. There is plenty of staff working at the hotel and they are all very friendly and helpful. In the evenings, there is enterntainment: African dances, acrobatics, etc (except for Sundays). The hotel has two swimming pools and a private beach with many umbrellas (no need to wake up early and book it). There are plenty of vegetarian options served.
The Internet is very good at the beach, but patchy in the rooms. The food was fine, considering how many guests the place has and that the food was served from chafing dishes but I would like it more if it is more local. It served mostly Europaen food with only a few African options which were much tastier. Also, be careful with water and juices as they have addition of ice and we had stomach issues for some time. Always request bottled water.
If you want to go to the ocean, you need to cross the public beach and there are many locals there trying to sell things. They are very friendly though and the hotel security is watching in case you need anything. But is gets a bit tiring after some time.

- Great location
- fabulous pools including a wonderful infinity pool which gives you incredible views across the beach and sunset. You can watch the world go by without interruption
- Gorgeous stretch of beach- turn right for bustling vibrant area and turn left for an idyllic, peaceful walk
-Lots of places to eat nearby
- Loads going on. Jet skiing, snorkeling, dive schools, sunset cruises, dolphin watching, loads of excursions
- Reasonably priced food and drinks- fabulous buffet on the beach twice a week
- Lovely and friendly staff who look very happy in their work
- instant coffee
- loud entertainment at night is audible and a little disturbing if you just want to relax on your terrace although it finishes quite early so not a huge deal breaker
Really nothing else to complain about. It was a lovely stay

Garden view and beachfront amazing, proactive staff (we changed our room, also had s shower after check out in the evening), breakfast very good
Booking office (which is in Italy) did not forward my messages to the hotel, otherwise we would stay longer.
8.0
The room and overall look of the hotel. The fact that the sunbeds are within the hotel and that it has 3 pools. Staff are really friendly and so helpful.
The fact that it's on Nungwi beach which is quite crowded when you go to the beach and walk on both sides of the hotel and lots of vendors. Food leaves a lot to be desired.

Friendly and professional staff. Excellent italian food and gorgeous sunsets. What else would you need?
The distance from the main road to the hotel but that's pretty standard in the island from what I saw

Fantastic stay at myblue hotel. The Property is just stunning. Beautiful well kept gardens and very peaceful atmosphere around the common areas. The infinity pool on the beach is just a spectacular spot to watch the sunset which is right in front of the hotel. The rooms are also very nice and spacious and extremely well cleaned. I was really impressed with the food variety and quality especially for the special dinners on the beach. A special thanks to all the staff that were always smiling and ready to help. By far the best hotel in nungwi. Will definitely come back soon.
Nothing everything was perfect!

The ambience and set up.
Rooms were good with lovely view.
The sunset view us beautiful.
May be have little more variety in buffets specially other cuisines and most importantly have the swahili dishes a few in every meal.

Perfect location, right by the beach. Very secure with Maasai guarding the area.
The breakfast was ok room for improvement on cereal selection. There was no complementary water, we had to buy water.

The beach is very beautiful and clean, one of the best one in the area.
The hotel is like a boutique hotel, small but with lovely landscape in its site.
They offer fresh coconuts to the clients in the beach area, which was a daily delight!
The food was nice.
*the restaurant at the beachside was renovating during our stay.
*Wifi is strong around the pool, but not for the rooms next to the beach.
*the hotel did not give invoice for those booked on this website (at my checkout).
After my stay, I asked the booking.com customer service to contact with them and ask for invoice, they still did not provide to me. This is very strange.

Beautiful hotel which is very well located and right at the beach, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to others. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
What we were let down by was the menu with the diner and lunch options, as it mostly serves a buffet which is mostly Italian cuisine and not continental. It would have been great to have a more options on the menu.

Beautiful hotel with nice infrastructure.
The view from the pool is just amazing, in front the beach. One of the best beach i’ve ever seen.
The personnel is so kind and helpful. Special thanks to Antonio the manager of the restaurant, who took care of us. Definitely a perfect place to stay in Zanzibar
Too many massai and seller insisting on the beach to buy their products, otherwise nothing bad to say…

The property was very nice and clean but our room the phone didn’t work so I had to go to reception every time to put a request. The AC kept not working so I had to go reception to ask for maintenance it was just a headache.
The management staff are horrible and not kind at all. I booked for 3 nights but since I checked in my son started to get sick and we hardly stayed at the hotel. The staff can see go in and out to go hospital but clearly didn’t want to offer us any kind of support or compensation. I tried to request for extra night due to the circumstances but I never got a response. I feel like I was treated really unfairly but I guess money is what they care about not the people. Also at the reception it clearly states that only tourists pay tax per day for staying at the resort, my wife and some are locals and residents of Zanzibar and have a Tanzanian passport but again they still choose to charge my wife as a tourist because all they care about is the money.

Staff were really rude. Food terrible, apart from that nice resort and very clean
Staff really rude. Food terrible

I liked the infinity pool, beach front facility, fast response by staff when called upon, several sunbeds for guests, friendly receptionists, flexibility to accept my guests in, accountant is very attentive, steady internet.
BEACH BOYS are very intrusive and can scam you if not attentive, the hotel environment is very rural with bad roads(this applies to most of zanzibar)had no blanket on night 1..(donno if it's a thing) got one upon request, Food needs more marination, was made to pay a 5% road tax upon check out on top of my already settled bill, fridge wasn't making drinks cold, Beddings and curtains need replenishing.
