This was the first hotel we stayed at in Belize that actually has a bathtub! Yay! Rooms were large and the windows were so clean I thought they were open, apparently a bird did too because he accidentally flew into one of them!
Prices on spa and food were a little high. The pool was nice but I forgot to ask for towels, whoops.

The grounds are beautiful as are the rooms.
The road to the resort is a bit challenging but nothing that would keep us away.

The sunset view was spectacular, the main pool was great, excellent for swimming laps. The second pool was half empty, perhaps for insurance reasons as it was unattended. Landscaping was incredible. The room was excellent, the bathroom is amazing, and the A/C worked great. The staff are very professional, friendly, and helpful.
The only thing is that the road leading to the resort is a bit rough, but that's minor!

Location on the river. The grounds were beautifully tended.

Location is great. Restaurant overlooks the river.
The longish pathway to the bungalow was hard to negotiate with luggage because it's gravel and the roller bags don't work. Also the pool closest to our room did not get cleaned and there was ash from the fires around the location.
2.5
The rooms are separate units, all of them are log cabin style modules. They were able to accommodate the 3 of us in a room with a separate bed. The surroundings are astounding, overlooking the Belize River and the rainforest.
In general the hotel and rooms are old and could definitely use maintenance. Some rooms are very far away from the front desk and restaurant, about a 15 min walk. We were a big group with several rooms and in a few of them we had SERIOUS cleaning issues, as if the rooms hadn't been cleaned at all after the previous guests left.... awful. The restaurant wasn't great either.

The location is great! You feel like you are in the jungle. The highlight was just having a drink on our private balcony with a river view listening to all the animals and birds as the sun sets. Very quiet hotel and we spent many hours by the pool with the family reading and playing board games. We are a family of five and really liked to have two adjacent River View Studios. We had our own private house with a shared balcony between the two studios.
The staff were very nice and helpful in preparing day trips.

The property was beautiful, and we stayed in 2-bedroom cottage with 2 bathrooms which was extremely convenient for my family. Listening to the jungle sounds at night was wonderful. They offer a full menu breakfast which was delicious. Dinner is offered with 3 to 4 options, but my family was able to find something that we all enjoyed. The staff was incredibly friendly. Overall convenient location to the many excursions that are offered in the area.
There is not much to do at the resort during the day however, they do offer a beautiful pool. We didn't mind this as we were gone during the day doing excursions so really only spent breakfast and dinner at the hotel and we were tired after our active days that we usually went to bed early. Wifi is only strong near the restaurant.

beautiful property and the staff was so nice. the food was also really good and not terribly priced.

We have stayed here twice and come back for the value and the wonderful staff.

We spent two nights during the hurricane at the hotel, we were upgraded to better / bigger room to feel more comfortable and safe. The staff was very helpful. Magical sounds of howler monkeys in the morning. Good fajita for lunch. Nice pool near the hotel restaurant
The roof started to leak at night during the hurricane (second night), but the conditions were really extreme, so we cannot complain. The second pool, near the rooms, was a bit dirty.
4.5
The staff was excellent. Friendly, on top of things. A Cat 1 hurricane hit and they brought food to us before the hurricane. They came out in the middle of the hurricane once we lost power with multiple lights. They had clean up crews there in the morning. Very gard workering and pleasant.

Very pretty place and well maintained. The rooms a very big. The staff are great
We payed extra to get a room with river view but we could not see the river at all from the terrace or the room. There was a massive terrace outside our room. At the photos it looked cosy with furnitures but it only had to small chairs.
It’s pretty far out. When you turned from the main road you drive a long drive on an unsealed road. However the staff drive us to the main road without any extra cost.
There is only wifi in the common areas

What I really like was the fact that the staffs are very friendly. They were always at our service whenever we needed them. My wife requested fresh coconuts and the staff handpicked them from the resort.

picture perfect relaxation. from the Belize river to the hidden hiking trails on site, there’s beauty every step of the way. the staff go above and beyond to make sure you’re enjoying your stay and they make your stay that much more amazing. the rooms are so inviting you honestly feel at home, and there’s a hidden pool you can enjoy as well. I recommend for anyone visiting Belize for the first time
it is a little far out, but the staff are so accommodating you don’t even realize. shuttles to any and everywhere you just have to tell them when so they can be prepared.

A perfect getaway in a lush tropical setting. Although the place is located close to Belmopan, it gives you the feeling to be far away from everything else and from any disturbing sound of civilization. The houses and cottages are located above the Belize River, most of them have a great view over the river and the dense vegetation on its sides. Because of this environment, instead of the noise of cars, you can hear the sounds of nature - from the orchestra of birds to the cries of howler monkeys. The rooms and houses are made entirely of wood and have terraces and verandas that are perfect for chilling out. The furnishings of the rooms are elegant and perfect, everything is where it should be and designed to meet the needs of the guests. One should not forget the in-house restaurant, which has an excellent and innovative cuisine.
Nothing!

Dinner was excellent. Tanya our waitress/bartender was awesome. Loved the canoe experience up the river, highly recommend it! Place was quiet and we always had had the pool to ourselves.
Accommodation was dark, additional lighting would be great! Mirror in bathroom was too high as I am short and could only see above my eyes. Hiking train was not well maintained.

room was huge with fabulous views
there was a party of people using the pool , very loud , the other pool was out of use

if you are looking for something far away from the hustle and bustle of the town, this is a good location for you.
it was not exactly what I was looking for as I prefer a more open and airy place.
4.5
Outstanding location, rooms, staff, and food (Breakfast & Dinner) - all top-notch.
Terrible internet/WiFI -they definitely need to improve it and because there's poor cell phone reception in the area
4.5
The view, the birds, very spacious room and bathroom
Breakfast, the juices
