Average hostel, great location walking distance to Hirafu Dot base, clean bathrooms and laundry on most floors, good drying room for ski gear and decent breakfast included

Dorm room had an extra 7th bed stuffed in instead of 6 bunks as pictured so 3 people barely had any space. One of the front desk staff was a bit unreliable as he kept giving us incorrect information about where things were but we figured it out ourselves anyways.

basic but functional hostel in a great location for skiing

Very basic but functional ski hostel, only 5 minutes from the lifts! The rooms are incredibly bare, but are clean, comfortable, and not damp. The staff are friendly, on-site equipment hire was easy and good value, and the included breakfast was good!

Worst customer service /recovery

Good location, nearer to the base

4pax family trip, booked the family room, paid for 7 pax. Got into shocked when we found that there is already a person staying in the room. Front desk closed after check-in (ard 7pm). Message through Booking.com apps received no response. We have to share the room with a stranger and we can't sleep well at all. Everyone was stressed and awkward. It was my bday and the most unforgettable one. Feedback to the frontdesk first thing in the next day to move the stranger to other room. But never got any apology nor explanations as if it's OK.

Great location but very cramped rooms, no common area, and a lot of noise from the bar and patrons.

Staff were friendly and helpful where possible. Washing and drying facilities were available. Location to the mountain was fantastic. Drying room was also available and did the job.

The rooms were cramped with one extra bed than what was advertised, leaving little room for bags and storage. There was also a lot of noise from bar music and patrons that spills into the hallways and rooms on level one. I strongly suggest that the lodge does something to fix this. Lastly, there isn't any common area or room to chill out other than in your room and on your bed. The only space away from the bar and rooms is in the hallways, which makes for a very noisy experience overall. If you're going to stay here, I'd suggest asking to be put in a room on level 2 or above.

not clear online shared bathrooms. I called to arrange ski gear that confirmed there had everything at a reasonable price then when we turned up they said they didn’t have it and we had to buy elsewhere at crazy prices

Excellent Service, Great Staff

The staff are among the best I’ve ever met at any place I’ve stayed at in Niseko. They would all go out of their way and do their best to accommodate you and make you feel welcome. My snowboard bag arrived much later than expected (through no fault of the lodge, it was purely Yamato Transport’s), but the staff did everything they can to get it delivered to me asap. They look after their guests as if it’s a 5-star hotel, and I truly appreciate that. The place isn’t fancy but it has everything you need. Would definitely book again.

Just a minor thing, but the tap in the bathroom on the 1st floor doesn’t have hot water (I didn’t try using the ones on the other floors 😅).

comfortable stay in Niseko

excellent location to ski field lifts. very helpful Japanese man at the front desk who arranged bus reservations for us. comfortably warm, very clean bathrooms. good breakfast included. drying room very useful

Niseko in general is expensive and feels barely like Japan - much of the staff are westerners who don’t know much about the local area, shoes stay on inside the building…

Convenient location only few mins from lift, public parking nearby. Good breakfast, spacious family room, awesome stuff.

Nothing in particular. This is certainly not a place to experience a local ambience - the hotel is kept and run by westerners, and majority of guests are westerners too. That is not bad, it is just no different from some ski condo in Europe.

Perfect place for solo/group travelers, specially for foreigners

The location is good for winter sports lover, close to the skiing and snow boarding areas. Has lot of restaurants near by. Winter sports rentals is also available.

Great Place to Make Friends and Enjoy the Ski Slopes!

Really fun solo travel experience. I met some awesome new friends (fellow skiers/snowboarders) in my dorm style room. The staff is super laid back and friendly. The town is adorable and the location of this hotel is really close to the ski lift. It was a really fun place to be. Oh! And the complimentary breakfast was delicious and helped me start my day off with plenty of energy for skiing!
