This property is amazing. I would give it more than 10 if I could. Steve is a wonderful host. The property is stunning. Looking forward to staying again.

Very comfortable accommodation in very well restored mid 1800’s stone walled and slate roofed bakery. Very helpful and knowledgeable hosts. Magnificent natural setting beside the Heysen Trail and Morialta National Park. A fabulous natural getaway close to a number of Hills Towns less than 30 minutes from Adelaide.
Breakfast provisions are only provided for the first morning.

Venue was good.
Area was great
The bed.
The bed seemed cheap and the mattress was so uncomfortable we suffered with little sleep.
The bed squeeked at the slightest movement.

The location was both convenient and delightful, Steve and Fiona (our hosts) were exceptionally kind and accommodating and happy to give great recommendations on food or touring the area, and "The Bakery" was a charming heritage cottage with modern conveniences and plenty of space to relax. The wood fireplace was perfect for the winter nights.
The beds were a little hard and springy, and made for some disturbance if you or your partner move though the night, but it was still a calm, quiet and relaxing place to rest.

Cottage was very spacious, great fireplace and facilities. Host was great and took the time to show us how to work the fireplace safely and then replenished the firewood.

Beautifully refurbished historical site surrounded by great walks and only 25 minutes out of Adelaide city. All the creature comforts you require including a delicious breakfast provided for you to prepare in the well equipped kitchen. Ten minute walk through the hills to the Scenic Hotel which is a great place for watching the sunset over the city and then have a bite to eat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in very unique accommodation and restful setting. The location was ideal with easy access to restaurants, markets and in all a relaxing place to just be. Well done to John and family for all the work they have done to bring the old buildings to the standard that we enjoyed.
There is nothing we didn't like!

Mum and I LOVED this property! We felt as though we had been transported to Italy or France. The hosts were friendly, personable and really made us feel welcome. We loved the smells of the garden, the view particularly at golden hour, the history of the property, the breakfast items and all the minor details/thought and consideration that went into every aspect of our stay. We loved that it felt like a home away from home, but with total relaxation/comfort. Thank you Steve and Fiona! Would highly recommend your property and would come back again.

Breakfast supplies left for us both in the fridge and on the breakfast bar. Good range of goods to eat
This stay was perfect. It is a Heritage listed property, circa 1830's. We stayed in the original Bakery, 2 bedrooms and a fireplace.

Steve and Fiona have done an exceptional job with this nearly 200 years old state heritage listed property. We stayed at "the bakery" two storey bungalow. Very well equipped, modern facilities, beautiful finishes and touches (eg. bedside usb outlets, and incredibly good quality furniture, very sturdy wood, nothing cheap and nasty). Breakfast was provided for the first morning, but the portions were so generous that they lasted us two mornings of our stay. Beautiful quiet location, lovely walks through a gully to waterfalls nearby, it's a historic gemstone of Adelaide Hills. Thank you very much, Steve and Fiona!

Loved the location, could have been any in the world. Beautiful wood burning fire, greatly renovated and fantastic views over the hills with our own local kangaroos. Highly recommended. Thank you Steve.
All good.

Nostalgia, crisp morning sunrise, wood fire, cosy accommodation. On the Heysen Trail. Great breakfast supplies.
The slight dusty smell of the original stone barn walls only in the middle of the night when all the windows were latched.

The setting for this historic farm complex is so peaceful with views over the valley to the forested hillside. A great location for visiting the attractions in the Adelaide Hills! Local wildlife, including a koala with joey in the trees along the driveway, made the stay perfect.
