Location, friendly staff, breakfast included and lodge dog friendly.
Not ideal that you have to go south to go north. Eg to get to Biggleswade/Sandy you have to go south to Baldock on A1m to go back in yourself north to get to Biggleswade/Sandy.

Convenient for work
Unfortunately , not impressed with cleaning .. the limit appeared to be make the bed and change the towels . My room was very “tired” . The bathroom had odd tiles on the wall , grout was missing from round some of them .. hair dye runs down the side of the toilet from a previous guest , dust and hair in the floor behind the toilet .. no fresh glasses or mugs to replace ones used ..

Location, basic but fit for purpose

The outside greenery fresh air.
Nothing really ,just the carpeted need refreshing.

Lots of parking and perfectly located on the A1
Couldn’t sleep with the windows open on a warm night due to noise of traffic, no AC or fan.

To be honest I wasn't expecting much at the price I paid but was pleasantly surprised.
The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean.
If I'm being picky the bathroom was very tired but again it was clean and functioned well with good water pressure in the shower.
3.5
Easy check in , Room fit for purpose, value for money, no car park issues
Breakfast a bit underwhelming
Property due a lick of paint

The receptionist (Arty) was fantastic and so helpful. The local taxi firm was trying to charge a fortune and she called them back and negotiated a much better deal for us. She went out of her way to help us.
The sofa in the room was very torn and worn. Room smelled quite musty. The bed was very worn and sank in the middle resulting in a very uncomfortable night.
Uber taxis do no go to this hotel. You have to use the local company who try to charge a fortune (£30 for a 5mile trip).
Breakfast is toast, that you cook yourself, in the foyer! Everybody walking in and out past the couple of tables available. Not my idea of a breakfast area or a "breakfast included".

Convenience
Desperately needs a refurb.

Just for a stopover. Straight off the A1 going south. The room was clean and traffic noise not too bad it didn't disturb us.
The entrance comes up a bit sharp off the A1. A sign about 200 yards earlier would help. All in all, a place to put your head down at a very acceptable price.

we have stayed here previously for work and will be doing so again in the near future, the price was reasonable and location suited our needs, check in and check out was simple with no fuss.
we stayed in room 17 the sofa bed was somewhat uncomfortable according to my colleague, mine on the other hand was fine. The shower did not work but we had a bath so this was not an issue, however we did not make a complaint as such the staff did not have the opportunity to remedy it so no complaints there.
