The history, the location and very welcoming , they are so dog friendly. Felt looked after.
We stayed in the lodge, which was great, had the double room and twin room , the doors opened to the court yard which had a gate so my dog loved it. The only thing I would say is the twin room could do with more plug socket s , and the side table i between the the single beds, as it is an old building we understood about the plumbing, because I am up to the bathroom a lot throughout the night and I was worried about disturbing the other guest, all though no one complained, part from that loved it

Breakfast was ok
Check in!!!!
Unprofessional staff due to age. Long time to check in, disorganization was apparent, unable to give correct change when paying cash and in the end said keep it and to be told that’s a coffee for us!!!!!!!!!! Next time if we come over I will pay by card!!!!!
Training on front of house need drastic change with maybe a more experienced member of staff welcoming your guests as this has possibly put us off coming again.
We will add your bar staff in the evening Joe I think is an absolute credit to you. Fabulous member of staff

The wish family, who we booked the stay on behalf of, loved that there was an indoor swimming pool they could also access. They also loved that their room was on the ground floor with very safe windows. The family loved playing with the balloons which the hotel left in the room and eating the yummy cakes! It was a lovely touch and very thoughtful of the staff to organise :)

Location amazing views, close to Shanklin chine and village in walking distance,
Waiting and bar staff can’t do enough to help you , receptionist I meet so really helpful,
Rooms lovely an clean the room we had was a good size, ironing board and iron in room large closet for clothes well stocked for tea/coffee
Security gentleman who is on reception late at night really friendly and helpful
The beds moved when getting in and out dangerous for anyone who are unsteady on there feet the beds made quiet loud squeaky noises when you moved in the bed …did not bode well for a good night sleep
Mentioned to reception who stated would look into it.
Parking is difficult came back late evening and often had difficulty trying to park outside the hotel is double yellow lines

The hotel is in a great location if you want to walk into the Old Village or to the beach. It has two great pools and a lovely outdoor seating area with beautiful views. Reception and cleaning staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was a good size and had the expected facilities.
The bar tender made some great cocktails and mocktails and really made the effort to make them perfect.
The mattress in our room could do with replacing as it was bumpy and made a loud noise every time we turned over.
Breakfast was lovely although some of the waiting staff could have cheered up a bit.

Good gardens, good pools, lovely bar area as a place to go if weather bad with nice views. Good location. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Very disappointed that the hotel had stopped doing evening meals.
The cooked breakfast wasn’t always good, considering it’s the only meal they do, we would have thought it should have been the best it could be.
The twin room my sister and I had, was clean but basic. However we were very disappointed there were no mattress or pillow protectors on the beds. This sort of thing should not be cut back on considering the amount of people that will sleep in these beds. The bathroom did not have enough facilities for two people-ie hooks for hanging wet towels & clothes. There was only one hook on back of door. No shelving at all for any toiletries, and there was a whole wall spare behind the door which could easily have accommodated at least 4 shelves for this purpose.

Breakfast was really nice.
Room is in coner downstairs. No sea view at all.
Floor is dirty and curtains as well.

The views from The Brunswick were exactly what I needed for my mental health mini-break. The easy walk to the beach or to the old village also make this a great choice. The staff were lovely and accommodating.
The bed wasn't the comfiest, but it was fine for a few nights. I think I happened to be in the hotel at the same time as families with young children, and I could hear everything single thing they got up to.

The location is excellent and the staff were great
It looks and feels very tried. It needs a lick of paint and some furniture to cozy up the bar area

Breakfast service and food was very bad.

The breakfast was good a little more continental selection would be good it was a bit chaotic at times, staff were always polite and helpful but need more guidance.
By using booking.com your rooms are not the best tired and uncomfortable bed view from windows of kitchen extractors noisy when in use or shower not working. The booking site indicates evening meals available when none are available in hotel

A friendly hotel, great room, much bigger than expected, even a snooker table and lounge on thus upper floor. Staff all excellent, addition of pools and quick walk to good restaurants all added to making our short stay v pleasant

Breakfast was fine.
Giving us just a weeks notice that the dinning room would be closed.
I had to complain twice about the loud music late into the evening.

Stay was ok, room quite outdated and for the price we paid we found it quite overpriced. the main bonus is seaview and maybe location but again for the price we have paid we could probably find better hotel room.
Room is overpriced for what it is like.
