INTRODUCTION:

My deluxe king studio is situated inside the Westin Monache Resort, the newest and only luxury hotel in town. The location is perfect for your year-round getaway to the Sierras and the town of Mammoth. The Village gondola is about 70-80 steps away and it takes you to Canyon lodge for skiing. If you don't want to take the gondola back down, you can ski back to the village through the ski back trail. Ski rental equipment is available in the ski shop on the lower lobby (LL) level.

In the summer, the mountain bike tram picks up in front of the gondola or you can take the free Red Trolley that takes you around the town of Mammoth and the Lakes Basin.

Once you park in the free underground parking lot, you won't need your car again. Being at the Village you are in the hub of everything: gondola, shops, restaurants, ski and bike rentals, and free shuttles through town and to Lakes Basin.

Stay and save by booking direct from owner!! My nightly rates are discounted from the Westin's. You'll have access to most of Westin's amenities such as year-round heated saline pool (with poolside dining available), hot tubs, 24 hour fitness center, BBQ grills, laundry room, hotel wifi, and FREE secure underground parking. Since you are booking direct, you WILL NOT have front desk access, daily housekeeping (but can be arranged for a fee), or room service dining. However, the Whitebark Restaurant is downstairs in the building and you can phone in your take out order.

THE SPACE:
My studio condo overlooks the village. It has a maximum occupancy of 4.

Inside my condo, you'll find a stocked kitchenette, with a double stove top burner, mini fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave. Relax in front of the fireplace, unwind in the heavenly king bed or stretch out in the comfy sofa that turns into a full sized sleeper. Room also has a flat screen LCD TV, cable and there is a bluRay DVD player.

GUEST ACCESS:

Key lockbox is on site.

You will have access to most of Westin's amenities such as year-round heated pool (poolside dining from Whitebark restaurant is available), hot tubs, 24 hour fitness center, BBQ grills, coin-op laundry room, hotel Wifi, and FREE secure underground parking WITHOUT A RESORT FEE.

Check in is after 4 pm. Check out is by 10 am.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

Your reservation includes the departure cleaning only. Daily housekeeping, mid-stay service, or towel service are all available for a fee. The condo is stocked with a minimum of 4 sets of bath towels. If you intend on using the pool or jacuzzi, please bring your own pool towels. The windows in the condo do not open. Pictures do not reflect new flooring.

My condo is about 31 miles to Tioga Pass, the road to the east entrance of Yosemite National Park. The Tioga Pass is open during summer months only.

Room keys are not disposable. I will need them for the next guest. Lost or unreturned keys are charged $20 each.

I have a seasonal locker at Canyon Lodge that guests may use to store equipment during their stay. My condo is not managed by the hotel and you are booking directly from the owner so please do not go to the front desk. I will be available to provide support during your stay.

I love the Westin here in Mammoth Lakes and this VRBO king suite with fireplace did not disappoint. I love how easy it is to walk for breakfast and dinner. Excellent room, easy owner to work with, would definitely stay here again!

This was a perfect rental and was exactly as advertised. The location is awesome and within walking distance to the Village and the gondola! The room was very clean and comfortable with nice amenities. The restaurant downstairs was also very good but plenty of other restaurants are just across the street. Checking in and out was a breeze and Jenny was a great host. Only complaint is no usb ports so bring plenty of charging cubes! Will definitely reserve this room again and are planning next month’s visit.

My only suggestion is the pillows are very flat. Thankfully, we found the two in the closet so we were able to pile three on top of each other.

I am one that travels a lot and stay in many Weston Hotels as a Bonvoy Platinum member and I can say that the room was very clean and the manager I communicated with was helpful with any of my need bc in this instance I had a car rental issue and the manager was helpful to get me options around town. But to be honest I felt the room was fairly basic for the location and price. I had a good stay but compared to the Weston in Buffalo NY or in Chicago or even in Portland that are priced much cheaper. The room itself was basic for the price I was paying. Again I had a good time and the experience was good but I didn’t feel like the room was all that high end. So this review is sorta a double edge sword I suppose.

it’s as advertised. everything was great. check in was easy. response time to my messages were quick. never had to drive my car anywhere once i checked in and parked. the locker at canyon was a nice convenience. only negative would be if you have problems with stairs it can be an issue because there are some serious stairs from the village to the rental but that didn’t bother us but it can be a little tiring after a long day of riding. i would totally recommend and would stay her again.

I stayed here on a last-minute trip chasing powder at Mammoth. It's a perfect property for a single or a couple. Jen provided easy checkin instructions and was very communicative the entire trip. The unit comes with a ski locker at Canyon Lodge, which means you don't have to lug your gear back and forth. Would highly recommend this place.

The studio unit is very spacious. Our host, Jen, was highly informative and helpful. The property location is great, very central to the Canyon Lodge gondola, restaurants. Underground parking is perfect and easily accessible. Jen is very gracious to let us use her locker at the canyon lodge to store the ski and other equipment. We are definitely coming back.

Very nice property with underground parking. Check in and check out was easy-just followed the instructions and it all went seamlessly. Property is close to the shuttle, which took us and our bikes up to Lake Mary. We then rode the bike path down the mountain into town and back to the condo-with views of the lakes, waterfalls, and the forest along the way-absolutely beautiful. The pool and spa were a welcome spot to spend time after the ride. Plenty of shopping and dining within walking distance of the condo but without the noise and traffic of staying in the village. All said, we really enjoyed our stay.

Overall the unit is fine for a short stay. It’s comparably furnished to others we stayed in. A few minor differences are higher quality paper towels and toilet paper, but no pool towels or tissues. The only problem was that neither window would open. The owner worked very hard trying to fix them, although no one she sent could get them to open. The larger issue is that even without the current problem, we were told the windows didn’t open more than 2 inches! If you enjoy plenty of fresh mountain air with windows that fully open, choose another unit. If that’s not a priority for you, I’m sure you’ll be happy here.

Check in was quick and we were allowed early access. Room conveniently located on third floor. Everything was as described in listing…no surprises. Room quiet and comfortable for the 3 days we stayed. Host checked in with us a few times to make sure everything was in order. Would definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable and well-stocked studio condo. Steps to The Village and shuttles. It was so nice to have access to the parking garage there. I did not use The Westin's amenities that are included with staying at this condo but everything there looks really nice. This condo had everything I needed and more. The host responded quickly to a question I had at check-in. I loved staying here. Thank you, Jenny, for everything.

We booked this condo at the Monache Resort for two main reasons. First was Jenny's reviews. She has wonderful reviews and its a testament to her ability to accommodate all of her guests. The second reason is her location. If you're going to stay near the Village, the Monache makes the most sense, especially for skiers. The gondola to Canyon Lodge is across the street, parking is so much better than the Village Condos, and the ease of loading family gear when checking-in is superb. We could enjoy the benefits of the Village without having to take be 'living' in the Village and its long walks to our room. Finally, having access to Jenny's ski lockers at Canyon Lodge is great and so helpful! Jenny was easy to communicate with and a pleasure to work with!

We drive from Reno to ski Mammoth 2-3 times a year. This condo was very clean and in good condition; the bed was exceptional, in our opinion. Jen responded immediately (less than 5 minutes!) to the few questions we had. The location is ideal for skiers as it gives great access to both the Canyon lifts and the Village. Jen provided us use of her personal ski locker at Canyon Lodge. If the locker available take advantage of it and drop your ski gear (boots too) off. That way you just walk down the 75 stairs to the gondola in regular shoes, carrying no skis. Ride the gondola to the lodge, put your boots on in the warm locker room, use the restroom and take the escalator back up to the snow. If one of your group wants to quit early there is no car or waiting for the shuttle to deal with.

Perfect location, clean, quiet and comfortable stay. Just steps away from the Mammoth Village with a great selection of restaurants, easy trip to Yosemite National Park and close to Mammoth Adventures. Beautiful view from window as well. Super easy check in and check out.

This was a nice condo with good amenities and well located. Overall we enjoyed staying here. I took off 1 star because of a checkin delay and some problems with the maid service. We could not checkin at 4pm (which is pretty late) and had to wait. The room smelled very heavily of cleaning fluids and stayed that way for quite awhile. The blinds were in a weird position and the normal cord movements would not lower them at night. I finally figured out how to fix this. The bed was very poorly made with the sheets messed up. Finally I figured out that the small sheet was below the large one. Reversing the order allowed the sheet to be tucked into the mattress so it didn't slide all around during the night. It is perhaps a little to short too (shrinkage?).

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The Westin is a perfect location and the pool area is heavenly. The studio was spotless and very comfortable. Everything was in good working condition and we felt very at home. There’s even a nice view of the Village out the window. Checking in was super easy. We didn’t have to use our car very much since this location is so close to the town trolley, as well as walking distance to restaurants…but when we did take our car out, we had no trouble finding parking when we returned. I would totally recommend this place!
