Excellent location for seeing the sights around San Ignacio. Hosts were very welcoming and the homemade breakfasts were incredible. Cabins are large and spacious with a screened porch.
Access to the cabins requires a four wheel drive with food clearance. Otherwise, you need to park near the entrance and walk up. The hosts are helpful getting you to the cabins using their vehicle if needed. We made it every time with a Jeep Compass 4wd.

Owners were couple of great hosts/people.

Beautiful location close to town but it felt as if you were in the jungle away from it all. Juliette and Tony were wonderful and excellent hosts and chefs! We also enjoyed tours with “Fry Jack”. He was extremely knowledgeable, fun and personable.
Zero complaints! I wish we could have stayed longer!

A great place to stay. The cabins are very elegant and comfortable. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. We highly recommend.

Seemingly secluded (quiet) up in the hills but very close to town. Surrounded by birds and nature. Town is pretty loud and it was great to be able to come back after a fund day of activities to quiet and air conditioning! As well, managers were incredible- responsive, helpful, and available at all times.

The owners were unbelievably kind and friendly and made the stay such a joy. They even helped us resolve challenges with our tour company.
The location is a little out of the way, but very peaceful.

I can't say enough about this property! Our tree top cabana was lovely and the view was beautiful. Our hosts were wonderful and gave us all kinds of advice for what to see and do. Don't skip the breakfasts!! Juliet's breakfasts were some of the best food we had on our trip.

It was by far the most perfect place we ever stayed in. The cabins are incredibly beautiful, the view is amazing and the whole place is just magical. You can get an amazing breakfast delivered to your veranda and the owners are so friendly that you feel right at home. We can just recommend everyone to stay here - we wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you for everything :)
There is nothing to not like!

Juliet and Tony are the ultimate hosts. Their attention to detail is incredible. They were welcoming and knowledgeable. The cabins are clean and the ac worked well. Do not miss out on breakfast! For a small fee, Juliet will cook you a Belizean breakfast you won’t forget! You can eat breakfast on your screened in porch, as you watch the toucans, monkeys and various birds.
Nothing! Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Wonderful hillside cabin right in the town, spotless and cofortable. Good birding right from your hammock in the screened in porch. Heard toucans every morning (though I didn't spot them). Excellent hosts, welcoming and helpful. Good local food pretty close by. Breakfast a little spendy but very good local foods.
A little expensive for a cabin without a full kitchen. No refillable five gallon jug water dispenser to refill your water bottle, disposable plastic bottles (1 gallon and 12 oz) instead.

I stayed at Santa Cruz Cabins with two of my friends and we had a wonderful stay! The cabin was super comfy and clean but the highlight was definitely the hosts, Tony and Juliet. They were so welcoming and provided us with tons of really useful information on the area. The cabins are about a 30 minute walk from San Ignacio but as 3 young women we felt safe walking to and from the town along the main road both during the day and in the evenings. The highlight was the home-cooked, local breakfasts made by Tony and Juliet every morning. They brought them right up to our cabin to enjoy on the screened in porch and explained all the local ingredients and dishes that they prepared. If you are planning any trips/tours around San Ignacio definitely reach out to Tony and Juliet and they can connect you with really reliable transport, guides, etc.

This place was amazing. The owners live on site with their rescue dogs and take so much care to make sure you are comfortable.

Everything. The cabin and facilities as everything had been thought of. lovely hosts and their dogs. Fabulous views Delicious breakfast. they use lots of stuff they grow. the hibiscus tea is delicious. lots of useful local information. really responsive to our questions. very solicitous when my husband was unwell and gave us some fresh coconut water. loved the hardwood floors and comfortable bed. lots of lovely towels too
slightly challenging drive or walk up but then again that’s why the views are so fabulous

A fantastic venue and even better host! A big thanks to Juliet and her lovely family for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to eat her delicious food!

The peace and quiet, the friendly hosts, the outlook, the birds…. In short; all of it
As a couple more advanced in age, the journey down from and up to the cabin could be taxing but even so the effort was more than rewarded

Juliet and Tony were one of the best hosts that we’ve ever had. They were friendly, incredibly helpful and always available to assist and provide local recommendations. Their cabins are beautifully constructed and family owned. I would highly recommend these cabins for anyone visiting this beautiful country.
A bottle opener would have been helpful! But I have nothing negative to say!

everything! it was perfect. the hosts are the most gracious and wonderful people, they made us feel right at home and offered great advice.
the roads to get there are a bit treacherous.

Hosts were amazing! Can't say enough about that - Tony and Juliet were exceptional with communication and provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, and left us with great treats which were fresh from the property. They were incredibly kind about extra help we needed (getting up hills, postage, extra water) and generous with their time so much so that I felt like we were the only guests there (we were not, they were sold out)! Comfort and privacy of the cabins were great - AC was very welcome for peaceful sleeping. The Kitchenette unit was perfect for preparing and keeping our own food. Location is very close to several large grocery stores about a 20 minute walk away from the cabins. The screened in porch was a lovely place to start our days and to unwind as we were able to observe all the wildlife (toucans!) and sunsets from their hilltop view. The breakfasts deserve their own 11/10 rating. A must-do when you're there! Great portions and obviously very deliciously prepared - It's the best way to start your day and packed with a variety of local fresh ingredients. Great base for all sorts of activities in the Cayo district and very well priced. Can't wait to stay again!
Nothing except to remember to rent a 4x4 vehicle to get to the upper parking lot. Walking up from the lower parking lot is also totally fine but uphill. Having a car also helps as the place is not exactly a short walk from San Ignacio if that is where you want to spend more time but getting taxis is easy.

Really can't talk about the property unless we first acknowledge the wonderful hosts, Juliet and Tony. Juliet was warm, welcoming, helpful, responsive, and prepared a heck of a good breakfast, and provided good recommendations for activities and local drivers. Cabin is pretty new, clean, spacious, and the first thing I noticed were the beautiful hardwood floors. The cabin has a screened-in patio with views across the valley of Santa Elena and San Ignacio. With no car, we were not so mobile, so we took advantage of having breakfast brought to our patio each morning. Breakfast was delicious local selections, accompanied by fresh citrus juice, or if you are lucky, Tony's famous hibiscus tea juice.
It's on a hill, and the roads leading to it are pretty rugged, so don't be surprised at the one steep rutted dirt road. I would call it borderline walkable - one afternoon we walked back from the San Ignacio market, but it's a bit of a hike with a pretty steep finish, so wouldn't do that again in the midday sun.
Would definitely come back, and highly recommend.
Not this property, but tried the local Vistro app for food delivery from a local restaurant, and it was a much longer wait and more manual process than you might be used to back home, but all good in the end.

Beautiful property with an amazing view that you can see from the screened in porch, yet still a short drive to town. Cabin was really nice and had everything we needed. Very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious!
If driving there make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. It is close to town but the roads get very steep and bumpy.

Location and view. A 9 acre forested hillside with 4 cabins and many birds. Juliet and Tony live onsite and are happy to help with anything you might want. Belizian breakfast delivered to your cabin at the time you would like, delicious fresh fruit and jacks. 5 friendly dogs roam the property.
Nothing.

We had an amazing experience staying at Santa Cruz cabins. Convenient location at Santa Elena and across the bridge from San Ignacio, unique property, spacious and clean. Owners Juliet and Rafael are very welcoming hosts, they showed us around and told us more about their beautiful property. Juliet and Rafael made dinner reservation for us at San Ignacio and were very helpful.
We would recommend staying at Santa Cruz cabins and hope to be back too!
