This has been a hard one to write. Normally I give a 4 star review, but not in this case.
We left the low country of SC to enjoy the cooler temps of the mountains. This did not fail as the weather was wonderful.
The cabin: - the photo shows a light, bright cabin, but not the actual case. It was dark and we needed to keep the lights on at all times. The cabin had been cleaned??? prior to our arrival but we found dog kibbles all over the rug in the living room, there were cobwebs on everything plus dog hair rolling around on the floor. We tried to use one of the vacuums but it was clogged with dog hair, stuff and charcoal bits, which we assumed was from the fireplace. Husband unplugged it and we vacuumed the entire house, dusted - going through two Swifters. Management company offered to send housekeeping, but the deed was done. They did reimburse us a cleaning fee.
Had two service calls on the dishwasher as it fell out when the door was opened. Also disposal sound like it was grinding rocks - two children's toys were in it.
No instructions on how to operate the TV, took some figuring out as there were five remotes.
Worse was the driveway. On a very steep slope, maybe two car lengths long. Slide several times on the gravel.
Car spun wheels trying to get out.
I am sorry that the review isn't a good one. We did enjoy our time in the mountains, laughing with friends. The weather was perfect, unfortunately the cabin was not.

Upstairs sink drain is slow, downstairs kitchen cabinet under sink will not close. Great Cabin though!!!

Every possible convenience was available to us. Cleanliness, totally equipped beyond our expectations. Every detail has been accounted for.
Everything worked great. And when we called for the garbage disposal acting up they were there within 20 minutes. It was an amazing Christmas because of the location, and this staff.

We loved Fox cabin, and the area in general. Our stay lasted for thanksgiving week, and included a family of four on the main floors plus in-laws in their own semi-private basement. Both kitchens were well-equipped and provided us with adequate tools for preparing a thanksgiving feast. We particularly enjoyed the wood burning fireplace, which kept the house cozy in the evenings. The beds were comfortable - we found ourselves sleeping in late every morning. We'd recommend this place without reservation.

This is a very nice cabin and we enjoyed our stay. The driveway is steep. I would not suggest this property for anyone that has a handicap issue, due to drive way entrance and stairs on the property. This is a great property for two small families.

We came in town for Father’s Day and loved this cabin! Amazing location in regard to the areas best hiking and the Kevin had everything we needed.

Very nice and well maintained property. Conveniently located to skiing, restaurants, grocery etc. Driveway access is a bit challenging but ok once we got used to it.

We had a great stay at the Fox cabin. The home was very nice and looks exactly as described online. It was the most well stocked VRBO I have ever stayed at. It is a great location and we saw deer everyday we were there.

Stayed with friends and family and this house provided a perfect mix of ample hang out room and separation go get little kids to sleep while also allowing us adults to continue game nights and such. Very well stocked, and there are notes everywhere to help with what turns on what, how to operate appliances, etc.

We loved staying in the Fox Cabin! The cabin was super clean and has everything you could need during your stay. As the other reviews mention, the driveway is the only real issue. We also saw some indication of mice in the main level bedroom and bathroom but never actually saw any mice. The porches are amazing. Our only recommendation would be an outdoor fire pit area :) Overall, it’s an amazing cabin and we will be back for sure!

Really enjoyed staying at the cabin the driveway parking was not a problem for me in general but I could see how it could be for some people. My chocolate lab really loved the woods. We definitely would stay again.

Very nice and clean cabin. Parking was a challenge but with only one car we did fine. Not to far from places to eat and things to do! Really enjoyed the stay.

Was a lovely three story set up so that no one felt over crowed.

Beautiful home set in the trees overlooking a valley. You get a real sense of peace here - especially when sitting on the fabulous screened-in porch. The home was roomy, inviting, and the seperate living areas were great for our blended family group. Great space for together time and everyone can also do their own thing if that is what you want. The home was well-stocked and we cooked and used the charcoal grill several times with no problems. The only concerns at all - this is a typical mountain house so the road to the home can be a challenge if you are not used to it - although it is well-paved. Arriving in the dark here could be rough. Finally - the driveway of/approach to the home is quite steep and would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. Overall we recommend the house and would return though!

My family and I spent 4 nights there this past weekend. Cabin was great, kitchen well stocked, beds comfortable, very clean. I couldn't tell from the pictures how difficult the driveway was. I am somewhat disabled and getting to the car was very difficult. There was barely enough room for our 3 cars to park and loading and unloading was hard. Other than the driveway it was a wonderful getaway. Main floor toilet was also very low, had to use upstairs restroom. The screened deck was wonderful!

We had a great time and loved the property!

We loved the location. The screened in back deck sits directly in the tree canopy and you can immerse yourself in the greenery. It was very relaxing and a nature lover's paradise. We would love to come again next summer.

Being a large family, we have stayed in a lot of VRBO homes and this one was definitely our favorite! The cabin is beautiful- from the exposed beams to the decor! Just lovely!! And well stocked, it had everything we needed from cooking spray to garbage bags to dishwasher pods. If you do VRBO then you know most homes do not have those things! The decks were a huge hit, as was the loft. The downstairs became the "apartment " for my tweens. The cabin felt secluded although it was in a very nice and safe community. I would absolutely recommend this cabin! Thank you for having us!

Worst experience with the property was check-in. We were provided in MANY communications that check-in was between 3-5 PM. We planned our trip accordingly. When we arrived we were told property would not be ready until after 5 PM and to come back then. We asked if we could use their bathroom. They sent us to the Dollar General about 1/2 mile away. Now we are arriving at the cabin hours later than planned. Road to cabin and driveway is icy/snowy. That's ok, we came in 4x4 truck. However, driveway is extremely steep and treacherous. And, because drive goes down to terraced steps you are now carrying luggage, coolers, etc. into the house and trying not to slip/fall. A mess! This property would not be recommended for anyone that is not physically fit; even in the best weather conditions. And, property sleeps eight? Maybe, but not sure where vehicles would park. We now go into the cabin, and while surface clean, it is apparent that it is now well cleaned. Cobwebs everywhere. We cleaned away those that were on the steps, in the upstairs bedroom, around the dining table area.. etc. However, those up high are still there hanging from the rafters; unacceptable. There is a dead fly under dresser in upstairs bedroom as well as change under edge of upstairs bed. We also found dishes and pans put away that were VERY used/dirty. We cleaned everything before using it. Lastly on cleanliness, this is a pet friendly house. We did not bring a pet but are very pet friendly people. We had to clean dog feces off the main floor screened porch and my husband cleaned six piles off the front steps that is the driveway extended. We also are not smokers but picked cigarette butts off that same porch and off the front porch and driveway. Regarding working condition of the house, the drain in the upstairs bathroom backs up and you get to use the squeegee provided by the owner to get the water to drain out of the shower or stand in it! Also, much of the plumbing is plumbed backwards where hot is cold and cold is hot. Not just the shower in the basement where the wall sign informs of this. This same plumbing issue is found in the kitchen sink and the main level washing machine. We are VRBO customers and have rented many properties. This property was an extreme disappointment.

The house was exactly as described. Great location

Everything was great. Only 1major thing the driveway. The other that could make things better is better lighting (@cabin) and signage. It was VERY foggy when we arrived & rode pass the turn.
2.5
This property is clean and well maintained. We especially enjoyed the screened porch. Our only negative was lack of parking and a very small shower in the main floor bathroom.
2.5
My family stayed here along with our friend's family. It was perfect because we each felt like we had our own quiet space, if needed. One of our favorite parts was the screened in porch. We loved the location. The only negative was the parking situation, we barely squeezed 2 trucks into the driveway.
2.5
The cabin was great for all of us, we enjoyed our stay. The only thing was the driveway, steep and not much space for parking, but we had 4 vehicles and squeezed them in. Maybe consider extending driveway further down the front as most activity would be on the 2 great decks. Again the cabin was VERY well equipped, you couldn't ask for a better stocked cabin from first aid to the pots and pans!! Would definitely stay again!! thank you!
