Great holiday, lovely cabin and very relaxing

We loved watching the ocean bay. Fantastic location. Home was comfortable. It’s about an hour drive to bar harbor.

This home is just as it says. The cottage is charming and clean and the location is exceptional. Would recommend and would stay again!

House was cozy. Kids loved that it had windows all around looking at the water. Easy check in and great little town.

We loved our time at Regina’s Cottage - such a sweet cottage with beautiful views of the water out all windows! Well stocked kitchen, nice beds, and responsive hosts! We have been to Winter Harbor several times and this will now be our “go to” place to stay!

I never wanted to leave! The view from the back yard and all the beautiful nature all around was spectacular! Not to mention the wildlife and sea animals! We saw seals, dolphins, sea otters, bald and golden eagles! I hope to do it all again one day.

It’s a beautiful property and comfy stay. The only two issues we had was when it was too dark, the boys wanted to watch a movie, but the internet was not quite fast enough or stable enough to stream a movie for the kids. The other issue, was probably due to my incompetence, but I couldn’t get the oven to work. Probably user error. Great VRBO, beautiful experience.

We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was as advertised. The kitchen stove was troublesome and difficult to light and use. The host had it repaired quickly, but it should have been or replaced before we arrived.

We arrived at Regina’s Cottage the night the storm started. It was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. The hosts made sure we were comfortable and safe. We lost power for a few hours, which added to the fun adventure. We got to see the property at low and high tide. We stayed in and watched football, played cards, etc. By the next morning the sun was shining and we enjoyed collecting shells before we left. It was a great location to wait out the hurricane!

Regina's cottage is a wonderful piece of property truly on the water. The kitchen and baths are fully stocked, and the onsite laundry makes everything very convenient. It is a rustic-ish cabin, a great experience for our city dwelling kids. Only issue we had was with the upstairs toilet, the chain kept falling off but we are handy people and are capable of such simple fixes though it needs tools for a proper fix. The cottage is clean and comfortable, a true retreat. We also really enjoyed dinners at the nearby restaurants, The Pickled Wrinkle, and Treehouse Seaside Grill. No regrets on this booking!

Right next to the water, peaceful, and great amenities. A beautiful location.

The views from this property are stunning, and we saw seals in the bay. You can see a beautiful scene of the night sky on a clear night-awesome. Lots of boats to watch, and we saw a lobster fisherman checking his traps. Shower pressure was good. I did not think the bed in the master was very comfortable; we could not get the oven to work (used the toaster oven instead), and the dining table made us nervous, because its' in need of repair. The stunning views and tranquility outweigh those things. This stay created many great memories! Don't miss the 15-minute trip down to the end of the peninsula to the portion of Acadia NP - it's gorgeous! We wish we had taken the ferry ride to Bar Harbour (which is just a couple minutes away from the property), but didn't get that done - hope to next time!

This is our second time back to this house, we found it last summer. It’s a gorgeous, incredible spot on the water, with privacy and beautiful sunsets, and a short walk to town and to the ferry. It’s just a few minutes’ drive to Schoodic Peninsula.
It was, once again, very clean when we got there. But the price had increased a lot since last year. Some improvements had been made in the house—chiefly, more comfortable furniture in the sitting area. I don’t mind that the house is dated and sometimes things break. One of our fans was dead when we arrived, and the owners sent over two new ones immediately. We appreciated that!
My quibble is minor, and that is that, for this price point, I expect all windows and doors to work properly (a few say “do not open”, the screen slider needs replacing, the downstairs bedroom door doesn’t close fully). I expect a more functional stove (it’s small and well-used, doesn’t work well) and dishwashing area (small), if not a dishwasher. The downstairs bathroom is fine but it’s very dated (fluorescent mirror lighting) and the tub is slippery and there’s no non-slip mat. The spot is worth a lot, but the house needs some updating and maintenance.
You can also only contact the management company via app or email, no phone number is provided. Given that internet and cell are often poor here, it would be nice to have more communication options.
I would stay here again and I do recommend it if you love sunsets and walking to town.

This property was so unique and exceeded our expectations. Kids loved the rocks and tide coming in splashing up. Plenty of space for all 5 of us (Me and wife, 3 kids (12,10,8). We drove to Acadia one day (about an hour), took the Puffin tour, watched movies at night with the windows open and perfect breeze, and went to several cool local spots to eat. Great experience great property!

I had been dreaming about a relaxing vacation at this lovely cabin. I fantasized about enjoying a cup of coffee while admiring the fantastic view. Unfortunately, weather events and overbooked airlines ruined my much anticipated plans. We were never able to get there. I hope to rebook this cabin in the future.

This cottage is truly amazing. The location is just beautiful. I wish so badly we had better weather while we were there but we made the best of it. The cottage has everything well stocked. The kitchen is great. Loved watching the loons on the water. Hope we get to go back some day when the weather is better.

Regina’s Cottage was even nicer than described. Everything needed was provided, it has quaint knotty pine and interesting art, plus the yard was just gorgeous! Our favorite things: combing the pebble beach for sea glass, shells and interesting stones, watching the tide come in/out, sailboats at the yacht club, and lobsterman checking their traps, eating blueberry pancakes and amazing lobster dinners while overlooking the beautiful bay. Conveniently located near the ferry to Bar Harbor, which in and of itself is a delightful trip well worth the cost! Winter Harbor has gorgeous scenery, interesting geological features, friendly people and an authentic atmosphere. Best decision was to pick this cottage to relax and enjoy the quiet side of Acadia NP.

Our family of five stayed in Regina‘s cottage for a wonderful weekend. My husband‘s 99-year-old aunt safely enjoyed the downstairs bedroom with full bathroom. Our teenage children slept soundly in the twin beds at the top of the steps while we gazed out at the water from the second floor bedroom. Everything was gleaming and spotless. We hope to return next year.

We loved the waterfront location of this home. Exploring the shoreline and watching the water each morning were some of our favorite activities. We drove each day to Bar Harbor for hikes in Acadia. The house is rustic but very nice.

Great location, beautiful views and right next to Schoodic area of Acadia. Perfect house for family of 5. Kids loved skipping rocks and watching lobster boats. Great restaurants nearby, and the home was in a very peaceful setting. An easy hour drive to Bar Harbor. Wr enjoyed this quiet coastal area away from the more congested areas.

A lovely cottage with everything you will need and more. Comfy beds, amazing view, great beach walking (yes we found beach glass), convenient to local restaurants, quiet and private. Highly recommended.

Our family of 5 adults had an excellent time at Regina's Cottage. The cottage itself is cozy and comfortable. The views are stunning. It's location away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor was a welcome respite, but close enough to get to when we wanted. Would definitely stay here again.

I thought the house had three real bedrooms but the 3rd bedroom had no door and one wall was low so that the beds could be seen from outside the room. The house was not acceptable for three couples, which is what I wanted. It is a perfect house for a family or two couples, however, with a fantastic view.

Very peaceful private and relaxing. Two days I never ventured out and just enjoyed nature.

The spectacular location of this property cannot be overstated. It is the first time at a rental my entire family ran to see the view before even going in the house. We loved noodling around on the rocks outside and watching the boats come and go, lobsterman checking their traps, seals (we named two of them Mr. Whiskers, and Barnacles), porpoises, all manner of birds etc. When not outside, you can look through the enormous windows in the living area. The place is not huge, but we were quite comfortable there and made wonderful family memories. Having stayed on Mt. Desert Island many times, it was wonderful exploring this part of Acadia with no crowds. We enjoyed a ferry ride to Bar Harbor one day, which was easy access just a minute down the road to the ferry, and that boat trip allowed us to see more wildlife and beautiful scenery. Winter Harbor and this home is just the way Maine and life should be. We loved it.

Our family stayed in this comfortable, clean, and quiet cottage for a week. It is conveniently located for our planned vacation activities. The sunset over the water at the evening was amazing and we got to enjoy it every sunny days. As other reviewer had already commented, this is an older, but clean cottage. So, the bathroom, kitchen, and some of light switches were somewhat dated, but everything was functional. We definitely would stay again next time we come visit this area.

The feeling of shock and relief I experienced upon pulling up to the house and realizing we were directly on a beautiful - and much more substantial than expected - section of the harbor was superseded only by the perfection of the interior. Huge, water-facing windows and comfortable bedrooms made for an easy five night stay for four adults and two children under 7. I will 100% be returning to this house in the future.

Special cabin in a spectacular location! For our kiddos ages 2 and 4, they enjoyed the Maine rocks and shoreline around the clock. Perfect stay for a low maintenance trip where you intense to use Maine for its incredible outdoors!

This cozy cottage is in an absolutely wonderful spot. You can see the water from almost every room. You can easily walk to town and the ferry (and the free Acadia park bus), or bike to Schoodic Peninsula from this house without having to get in a car. From the yard, you can see west across the harbor as well as open ocean to the south. Sunsets are stellar.
If you want a house with fast internet, a dishwasher, and super modern decorated interiors, this is not the house. But the decor is tasteful, beds are very comfortable, the water pressure is excellent, and there’s plenty of hot water.
The house was extremely clean on arrival and the management was responsive and professional. We would happily stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful week!
