We had a fantastic week kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding and boating in the Weeki Wachee River in Florida! There is a large section of the river that is truly magical with the softest white sand, clear turquoise blue waters, and an exotic jungle backdrop. We saw a total of 23 manatees, 2 river otters, 2 water snakes, several turtles and many fish in the river. Being the house is right on the river, we were able to watch manatees swim by, people watch, kayak, paddleboard and swim whenever we liked.
The house is wonderfully stocked with everything you need and labels/instructions galore! Beds and furniture were all very comfortable and loved the turquoise and manatee home decor. The best space is the very large screened-in porch! We lived in this space... dining, playing games, relaxing, watching the river and relaxing in the hot tub.
The owners are wonderful and are very responsive and answered all my questions I had before and during our stay.
Highly recommend and we definitely want to go back!

Wow is all we can say. We had an amazing time staying on the weeki wachee river! This home has everything you need! Fully stocked with all your needs. The kids loved getting out on the water every day and seeing all the manatees! We couldn’t have asked for better host and a better location! We will definitely be returning!

This house was perfect! The owners thought of every possible detail. The location directly on the river made for the perfect view of the manatees, and the lower screened in area was the perfect outdoor space. The provided kayaks and paddle board was a nice touch. This had such a relaxing vibe, and the first vacation I wasn't ready to leave and be home!

We enjoyed this property for 8 nights, and would gladly have stayed longer. The property delivers on the VRBO pictures inside and out. Very comfortable accommodations, well kept property with extensive amenities. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The location of this property is outstanding. Great kayaking daily right out the back door. We used the property’s kayaks to explore the entire river and neighborhood canals. Saw manatees daily while kayaking and while enjoying the back porch. The house is comfortable. Kitchen is impressively equipped for cooking and baking. Screened lower level has everything we wanted for maximizing the fun factor of Weeki Wachee. The hosts were immediately responsive to our limited inquiries. They know the property well and are clearly interested in helping guests enjoy their stay. The living room and master bedroom are equipped with easy to use entertainment equipment - big screen TVs, DVD players, etc. Hosts provided clear instructions on use of house and equipment - as well as a large notebook of local resources for entertainment. Great restaurant, Upper Deck, located a few doors away. This property is impressive and Weeki Wachee has plenty to see and explore. While spending time on the back deck we had many passing kayakers say “We love your house!”. We loved it too and hope to return someday.

This was our second stay at this amazing property. The home looks just as great as it did almost 3 years ago. Very well, equipped and beautifully decorated. Sitting on the upper deck watching the manatees and the kayakers go by is so relaxing. We got to spectate the lighted boat parade, which was an unexpected surprise! We hope to return again very soon. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

Our second time staying here. The house and location are exceptional. Upgraded master bed made it all that much better. Actually didn’t want to go home to my bed. Need those pillow and the mattress was amazing. We cant wait to come again. Hoping soon. Thank you again.

I have to say you can tell the owners went to significant trouble to be sure that this day had absolutely everything you need down to toothpicks and Q-tips literally anything we need it was already there, which was so nice. The location was perfect just at the front of Weeki Wachee right by the canoe rentals. I can get a little bit loud on the weekends. It was really nice to have access at any time we wanted to go in and out we didn’t have to pack a lunch because we could just come back and grab food which was super nice king sized bed has a very sick memory foam topper, which is soft if you like that, the shower had very high water pressure every dish and pan you could you need plenty of spices and seasonings. A Keurig was really handy. We loved everything about the location. The hot tub downstairs was so nice to sit in every evening and listen to the woods it was just a beautiful stay. We definitely plan on staying again.

This was the perfect vacation! I wanted more than anything to see manatees...and we saw manatees EVERY DAY even though it is October in Florida and not all that cool.
The home was amazing! As others have said...the home is very well stocked!!! I always bring all the necessities, but that is really not needed here. Stocked spices and backup pantry items. All the cooking accouterments you could need. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash...they are all there.
The location was great! We spent every day on the balcony watching for manatees. Also, great people-watching on the weekends. The yard for the pup was perfect. No issues with no-see-ums...though I came prepared.
If you are worried about the noise from the river or The UpperDeck. Don't be. First, the rooms are at the front of the house. Regardless, we hardly ever heard noise (music or people) coming from the river. We also never heard any noise from The UpperDeck. Met some great neighbors as well.
Home was exceptionally clean. Great to have a covered parking area for the car. Couches with recliners great for relaxing.
As far as what is around...not much! So if you are looking for the hustle and bustle, this might not be the place. If you are looking to relax and enjoy nature and the river...then you have found your place!

This beautiful house has to be one of our favorites of all the rentals we have stayed at. It had every thing you could of imagine stocked in it. We could of basically just brought our clothes and a toothbrush. It was perfect, from the location to the river, park, food, and even kayak and boat rentals. (FYI, you didn't need to rent any kayaks, because the house had plenty.) Even the hot tub was a plus after a day on the river. Thanks to Tonya, for making everything so easy too. We will be back for sure!!

We had a great time staying out this VRBO. It was everything we needed and then some. Location was perfect and hosts were very responsive. Some of the kayaks, paddleboard and hot tub needed some love but otherwise the property is as good as it looks in the pictures. Will definitely return.

10/10… Tonya was very responsive to any type of questions that we had. As you approach the house off of shoreline It is literally a couple houses down from the upper deck restaurant. When you walk into the house it is clean from top to bottom. We normally bring in cooking supplies, extra garbage bags, etc. But this house was well stocked and we were pleasantly surprised with goldfish as a treat. We stayed five nights and every day we saw at least 10 to 15 manatees. The river was crystal clear, and the house was so conveniently next to hospital hall, which is a sprain. Also, if you have young kids, it is perfect because there is a park right down the road. Our three year old absolutely loved the river and swam all day and pretty much all night if he could. The house was well air-conditioned, and would stay cool at night. This house will be an annual trip for my family as well as a family that accompany us. Bravo Tonya on a well VRBO!!!!!!!

We had such an amazing vacation here! The house is absolutely beautiful. It’s super clean and well stocked with just about everything you need: kitchenware, trash bags, laundry pods, shampoo/conditioner, towels, coolers and water jugs to take on the river. They’ve thought of everything!! The screened in porch under the house is awesome with hot tub and large flat top grill. (Including all the grilling utensils.) The kayaks and life jackets are in good shape. We had so much fun kayaking up river towards the springs! It can be a chore to row against the current, but it’s totally worth it. If you check the local tide times and go closer to high tide it seems to be easier and you can make it further up the river. One day we rented a mini pontoon boat which was pretty awesome! There are several places close by to rent these small river boats. The neighborhood is nice and the neighbors are super friendly. The wildlife in the area is unreal. We saw manatees and dolphins from the balcony daily as well as lizards, frogs, hawks, ospreys, and owls. Wonderful place for wildlife watchers! The balcony was our favorite hangout and the best place to see the manatees and dolphins. Check in was a breeze and the hosts were very responsive to all our questions. We had the best time! We will definitely stay here again!

This is an amazing place right on the river. It has a massive screened in area on the ground level with a hot tub and hibachi grill. We cooked everything from bacon and eggs, hot dogs and burgers to lobster and salmon. We had many Manatee and Dolphins swim by us while we were in the water. The inside is clean and nicely decorated. It has a big kitchen with all the cookware that you need. The master bedroom is big with a beautiful bathroom. Great place to relax and have a good time on the water with friends and family. Oh, and the neighbors are awesome too!

This was our first time renting through a site like this. It was excellent. The house was as pictured and had everything we needed. Fully stocked with everything you could need for eating, sleeping, relaxation etc. We loved the deck. You can watch the boaters go by. We saw several manatees. We loved the neighborhood. So quiet and great for walking a dog. The restaurant recommendations in the guide book provided was very helpful. We ate great food, including the restaurant just down the road. It was great. Great for kids and adults. Thank you!!!

This river home is outstanding. All you need to bring is your clothes, toothbrush and some food. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen is provided - along with extra's in the bathrooms. The master mattress is the bomb - My daughter's "tracker" says she slept a full 8 hours - (that's a record). The river was beautiful and clear - not too many kayakers - that's always entertaining to watch. Took the poodle for his first kayak ride on the river, saw lots of fish and manatee every day. Of all the places we have stayed on the river in past years - this home is the top of the river-board. We've enjoyed every time we've gotten to come over. Toby and Tonya have provided everything possible to make your trip the best it can be.

Tonya and Toby have added even more amenities that make this property feel like home. Still the best location on the river for people watching (who needs a TV with entertainment like that?), a fabulous sunset view and all the comforts of home. There really are no negatives.

This stay was so perfect for our family of boys looking for fun in the sun. They enjoyed the manatees, kayaking, fishing and swimming and snorkeling for crabs. The neighbors are so kind and knowledgeable about the river and were very gracious with borrowing things for us to use. The house was clean and beyond what was expected. We definitely will be back!

We absolutely love this spot and house. Plus the owners are so sweet and helpful. There was a present waiting for me on arrival for my birthday. This is our second stay here and everything was perfect just as the 1st time. We have four kids ranging from 2-14 and all enjoyed the house and water. We kayak every day, use the spa, grill, watch sunsets, watch movies and play boards games. Just sitting by the water watching the manatees go by is our favorite part time. What can we say about this home and the owners that hasn't been said? We enjoyed seven weeks here on the Weeki Wachee river in this beautiful home and were sad to leave. Toby and Tonya thought of everything and made the house a wonderful place to stay. We didn't lack for anything we needed! We loved the time we spent here and we are looking forward to a return trip!

Words cannot describe how fabulous this vacation home is! I almost don't want anyone else to know about this gem since it is already so popular. Attention to details and everything you can possibly need or want is provided. 4 days was not enough next time I would stay a week or more. This river is spectacular, the clarity of the water is incredible. We saw so many manatee and fish. Enjoyed cruising up and down on our paddle boards and used the wonderful kayaks provided and they had 1 paddle board as well. Staying here felt like being at your own private 5 star resort but with the privacy of a single family home. Even our dog loved it! Owners were super helpful and responsive. We will definitely be back!

Be ready to relax and see the manatees. We enjoyed our time at this beautiful Key West style home. It was my husband's birthday gift to stay at this home that is nearly always booked. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed and even some extras. We truly enjoyed our time there!
