We loved the beautiful building, an amazing indoor & Outdoor family pool. Large, spacious room.
The food in the main restaurant was average and very pricey, but the service staff were excellent.

Very grand
Spa was lovely
Good breakfast
Robes were dirty clearly hadn’t been washed between use.
Key cards didn’t gain us access to spa so had to wait to let us in and out and couldn’t get in all rooms due to key card error

It was honestly so lovely! We stayed for my birthday and not only had they put a birthday banner up on the screen in the room but a member of staff stopped by our room to give me a hand written card and a lovely little box of chocolates! The room was spotless and spa was just what we needed, will be staying again for sure
Nothing!

The reception staff and the hotel porter were all friendly and helpful sharing useful information about parking and arranging a smaller robe for our daughter. The room was spectacular as were the spa facilities. Breakfast was a little bit slow but this didn’t cause us any problems. The bar area was lovely too.
Signage in the spa area is a little confusing and some of the spa staff are quite unappreciative of this.

The position of the hotel is excellent, very clean and fresh, staff lovely. check in quick. Spa was excellent,
Fabulous breakfast. Room close together and a lovely view of the spa, all i asked for fulfilled. Room clean and fresh, celebrating my daughters birthday, the hotel acknowledged this Thank you
The fountain and the lights were not on at night, shame as this makes a wonderful photo :(
one sauna was out of order.
3.5
Cleanliness and hotel facilities including spa were brilliant.
The cooked breakfast was of a poor standard for a 5 star hotel.

Beautiful, grand old style features, kept immaculately clean with a contemporary vibe

Professional engaging staff, high quality decor, great food
Make the bar a little more inviting - softer furnishings

Beautiful Room. Great authentic spa. Tasty Vegan options for evening meal and breakfast.
4.5
Fabulous location, the hotel impresses with its scale and grandeur. Beautifully restored, the fabulous spa has been well-integrated within the whole. Staff are, without exception, friendly and helpful and provides excellent service. The tour of the function room with Adam ceiling plus the Birthday card and chocolates were a wonderful touch, thank you.
Only disappointment was the breakfast. I had the cooked option - bacon was watery and a bit tasteless and the sausage tasted odd. A bit of a shame, as the breakfast bar was excellent as was the service in the restaurant.

The breakfast was excellent, staff was attentive and looked after us with what was available.everywhere was spotlessly clean,be it the room or the facilities.Plenty of staff about to help with anything that you required.
If possible fabric chairs instead vinyl in the rooms.

Loved the facilities
Presentation and taste of food was excellent
Gluten free items limited
eg. biscuits and sausages
The chart indicating allergens in various food was not easy to interpret.

The receptionist in the spa was the friendliest and most helpful amongst all the staff at the hotel and spa .
Only One other member of staff was what would have been expected
Uninterested reception at hotel , dismissive almost . Spa treatment staff lacked personality
4.5
The spa was amazing. Staff were friendly and the room was very clean. The staff had also made our stay extra special as it was our anniversary
I think the cooked breakfast could have been better cooked, the continental selection could have been more varied.

Nothing a lovely stay for our golden wedding a bottle of Prosecco and a card was a lovely touch ! Asked for a room with a view and think we got the best for a money !

Nice building, great spa, good location.
Poor food service, lots of delays and missing items, valet parking process slow and no real help carrying bags in. Expected more from a 5 star hotel for the price paid.
4.5
The spa and pools
We asked for milk and ketchup at breakfast neither arrived.

Everything
We chose this hotel because of the historical building, Spa and Closeness to the Opera House. And it didn’t disappoint! Spacious room, modern bathroom with waterfall shower and very comfortable bed. Lovely view to the park. Bathrobes/ Spa flip flops in the room, easy access to the Spa via room key. Superb Spa with multiple pools/plus outdoors and saunas/steam rooms and treatments. Spa Cafe.
Breakfast was plenty and delicious with cooked to order options, served coffee/tea and self serving buffet.

Really lovely building exterior, and quirky internal design. Staff were very lovely and attentive.
Some of the furniture in the suite we stayed in looked a bit tired. I’d also expect a suite to offer fresh milk and have a fridge, it’s a suite after all. The spa was nice but I think the signage could have been clearer as to what was an included feature or specific/paid treatment.
