Absolutely loved the location and the flat. We will definitely stay here again when in London. Matthew was responsive and always available. Great place!

We arrived a few hours early and the host was willing to give us access into the building. It was a hot summer day and an exhaustive international travel, the air conditioned rooms which is rare in the UK, was like water on a dry and thirsty land.
The host was nice and responsive to our requests. The location is close to Tesco and every other amenities as advertised. I will definitely recommend.

Wonderful space for a family with 4 beds!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great location and slept very comfortably! Highly recommend

The apartment was clean and ready ontime. It was as described and in a good location for tube access. It was unseasonably cold and the heat was not connected and the names listed on the welcome sheet did not respond and the host stated he had a 7 hour time difference, so there was no heat the first day. The TVs in the bedrooms had terrible reception. But my biggest concern was when a stranger with a key walked in at 8am our last morning. No knock, no announcing themselves. They said they didn't know it was occupied and left. The cleaners also entered without notice and arrived before our departure time. Lastly the host scheduled an ac cleaning during our stay.

The place was as listed. Nicely decorated, area was good. We like to walk so distance to everything as good. Out of the hustle and bustle of downtown. Only reason for 4/5 is the smell upon arrival was overwhelming of days-old-trash, this lingered into day 2 of our 3 days. But host was quick to respond and remedy the situation. This would not deterred from staying again based on stellar communication and quick action.

This property was the perfect place to return to after a long day of sightseeing in bustling, hot London. Its location was perfect between two major London Tube stations and not far from the Thames. Although the property is between two busy roads and next door to a number of businesses and another VRBO unit, you would never know it. The walls are super thick and the bedrooms are like tombs they are so dark and quiet…..perfect for exhausted travelers. Although we could never quite get the living area cooled down we didn’t mind because the bedrooms had their own HVAC units which performed superbly. After having stayed at another VRBO in the English countryside that was not up to our cleaning standards prior to arriving to this property, we were so delighted to arrive to a sparkling clean property! This is definitely a property we will return to when in London!

We were in London for two nights and the location was great, close to two tube stations. We were able to explore the city and then get back to rest before dinner with little travel time. The place was clean, neatly organized, and stocked with everything we needed. We loved it, and the bunks were perfect for the kids! It's an awesome place, and I highly recommend it!

We just spent 3 nights in this great Kennington spot.
Location: Easy walk to Tube. Food markets, restaurants and pubs just steps away.
Lay Out: Large kitchen at the front of the unit which keeps things nice and quiet for anyone sleeping in the back bedrooms. This is great for a jet-lagged family when someone awakes at 3am to make breakfast while others are still sleeping.
BONUS: Really good French restaurant downstairs with an attached Jazz club, Toulouse Lautrec. On our last night we caught an Irish variety show - comedy/music - and felt like locals. Then were able to simply walk upstairs to bed.

My family stayed in Matthew's flat for a week while we were in London, and it was a great place to stay. The flat was clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were extremely quiet, despite the apartment being next door to a jazz club. The location worked well for us as a home base from which we either walked or took public transit all over the city. Several small grocery stores were within a couple of blocks. Matthew was very responsive in his communication.

This unit was clean and decorated well. I love the beams in the unit. The beds were comfortable with my husband and I in one room and our three young adult children in the other. It was a bit warm until we opened the windows in the living room which made a world of difference. There are also fans, washer/ dryer, hair dryer etc in the unit. It’s in a great location in the city. Near underground stations and within short drives of most of the tourist destinations. We would definitely stay here again if we’re lucky enough to have the opportunity again!

Needs: Laundry pods, paper towels, instructions for washer/dryer, heating system, and coffee pot. Info guide of the area.
Frying pans need to be replaced. Chairs too tall for the table. Poorly labeled bathroom toiletries. Better organization inside cupboards.
Good location. Happy we could leave our luggage there early - very helpful.

Very clean flat with plenty of space for the four of us. Table was difficult to sit at for a meal with design of table and the living room chair has deteriorated in quality since photos were taken but still comfortable. No communication from owner that someone was coming at 7:30 in the morning to check a utility resulted in uncomfortable and awkward situation but owner responded quickly to message about it. Liked the proximity to pubs, grocery market and metro

The entire process from start to finish was excellent. Don’t the outside of the building fool you…this is a true gem and it was perfect for our short family stay in London.
Situated right next to a swanky jazz/piano bar and 10-15 min away from bustling markets and London bridge, this was a perfect location nestled between multiple neighborhoods pubs.
Unit was clean, neat and and matched the description 100%. Communication with the host was flawless and they were extremely accommodating with early check-in requests.
Could not be more pleased and will absolutely recommend it for 4-6 people comfortably.

Great place to stay! Very cool and great location. Very well stocked and clean. My family loved our time. Easy to get to great pubs and the tube station. We would definitely stay here again!

Truly enjoyed our stay, convenient to the tube with lots of space and clear instructions. We felt right at home!

Thks, great location

The apartment met our needs well. Close to two metro stations and three markets.

The bedrooms are very nice, each with comfortable beds and a shower. WiFi works great and the kitchen appliances are all modern. The apt. Is a 5 minute walk from the Kennington underground station which is convenient to downtown and other lines. The restaurant next door has great onion soup and live music…there is a coffee shop a 5 minute walk (not towards the Underground.) and small shops where you can buy most of the food and wine you’d want.
We were 3 friends and found the apt. met all our needs,
My only comment would be the furniture in the living room has seen better days. Other than that it was fine.

Great little flat. Everything we needed for a short city break. The location is perfect, with a bus stop literally just outside, we were able to jump a bus to Borough Market with ease. Kennington Tube is literally just down the road.
Amazing value, and much better than staying at a hotel. The flat itself was quite quirky in the best way. There was tea and coffee available, which was much needed, plenty of towels, and certainly the bed I slept in was very comfy. Could not have asked for more. Will def come again. Thank you

Met all of our needs. Comfortable beds. Close to the train and grocery markets. Everything was very accessible! Thanks for a great stay!!

Very nice for touring around London. Close to Kennington and Elephant and Circus stations. Market close by and restaurants. One flight of stairs though there are little ups and downs in the apartment itself. The bedrooms are quite with air con which was important since London is so very hot right now. Main room does not have air but we weren’t there much. Very clean, nice kitchen, washing machine. Needed a few more
hangers in closet, being picky. Great communication with Matthew. I would stay here again and recommend.

Good location, between tube stops at Kennington and Elephant & Castle. Easy neighborhood to walk -- felt safe. Well stocked kitchen. Suggestion: for non-Brits unused to appliances, leave instructions for stove top and for washing machine. Everything was as advertised. Enjoyed it.
4.6
The apartment was well situated for getting around London. There are tube stops nearby for getting you to all the places you want to go and were easy to use. The apartment was as described with all of the amenities needed - well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer and comfortable beds. The bedrooms had AC to cool us down at night. The living area does get warm and it is the only room with windows. There are skylights in the bedrooms. It was a great spot and we enjoyed how close it was to everything.

This apartment is a good location with easy access to a couple of tube stations. The living area can get pretty warm but the bedrooms have heatpumps and so a comfortable night is guaranteed.
The apartment is well laid out and had all the appliances and equipment for a short or long stay
4.6
Extremely comfortable and modern. Setting between short walks to two major tube stations allows easy access to all London sites and activities. While situated on busy streets it's very quiet.
4.6
We immersed ourselves in London: bought Oyster cards and travelled by Tube. Matthew’s flat location is close to two different Tube lines. Enjoyed handy grocery shops, hidden garden pub, and Italian food. A short Tube ride away from all the central sites; Westminster, the Tower, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Kensington. Great place to stay, comfortable beds, cosy kitchen, clean and stocked bathrooms. Bring a face towel.
4.6
The flat was perfect for our family of 4. Everything was clean and tidy, and Matthew was extremely responsive, even checking in on us periodically. The flat is well stocked and provided us with everything we needed. We were very near both the Kennington and Elephant & Castle tube stops, which we took everywhere.
4.6
Great location for taking different modes of transportation including walking. Once you figure out the underground map it was easy peasy. Just remember to return home Northline southbound. Beds are comfortable. Towels rack very nice to have. You may want to invest in a new sofa. Great to have wi-fi. kitchen nicely stocked...eg. plates, cutlery and glasses.. Washer /dryer very convenient Matthew was very quick in replying to any questions you had.

The title says it all really. Great apartment, beautifully decorated and equipped. Plenty of space in terms of beds in the two bedrooms, and two modern bathrooms. Whilst the front door is on the main street, the actual apartment is upstairs and set back from the street ... so very secluded and no noise to speak of. Overall, highly recommended for a stay in London, close to transport and shops and extremely convenient for access to the City sights.
4.6
Great location. Close to the underground and bus stops. Room enough for a big family. My teenage girls loved sharing a room but felt separate due to the loft. We really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent communication from the property owner Matthew not only before but also during and after. Check in went seamlessly with information given ahead of time. We would definitely stay here again.
4.6
Lived up to the description as a welcoming and comfortable home base in London. Two very comfortable bedrooms with comfortable beds, one with a cozy and charming loft for kids. The two bathrooms were small but wonderfully convenient, and the open living room and kitchen were outfitted well. We didn't cook, but could have. There were two groceries nearby for necessities, and as a bonus a terrific restaurant just downstairs where we ate breakfast twice and dinner once. The Kennington tube is 5 minutes away.
I want to thank Matthew again for allowing us to enter the property early, as we were exhausted from travel and he graciously worked with us, and for communicating with us so promptly. We'd return to stay again.
4.6
Small and crowded for 4 adults. Stayed 4 nights. No AC, did have fans, but limited ventilation / windows. Marginal neighborhood. Not as clean as other VRBO's we have stayed in. Would not stay again.
4.6
We had 3 adults, plus 3 children (ages 12, 11 and 9 who slept in the loft) in our party, and used this Kennington apartment as a great home base for our London trip.
Plenty of clean towels and sheets, the two bathrooms were an added bonus for a party of 6. Plus a well-equipped kitchen, with stove and microwave, plus a washer/dryer combination.
Kennington was a new destination for us, but it was so close to the Northern Line that getting to the major tourist attractions was extremely easy. Plus in a quieter neighborhood in London, so we didn't miss being in the city-center. It was very hot, as we came at the end of the heat wave, but there were 5 fans, and windows that opened, so it helped.
Matthew communicated with us easily over WhatsApp, and the check-in process was very smooth and straightforward.

Wonderful stay
We really loved the location. Closer than expected to two underground stops. Easy to get to anywhere, and you were able to get away from the crowds at the end of the day. Elephant and Castle is a fun, eclectic neighborhood with a lot of restaurants, from Ethiopian, Italian, Ecuadorian, Thai, Japanese… grocery close by also. We had breakfast at the Black Cowboy every morning. The condo was comfortable and spacious. If you are on the larger size, the showers might be tight, though.
There was a great playground near the Elephant and Castle underground stop that our kids loved—they played there every night. I think the playground was the highlight of their trip! We enjoyed our stay!
