About this house rental
Serene, beautiful 2 BR/3 BA (beautiful outdoor shower!) home nestled in the National Park in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. It is the last home on a quiet street in the private community of Colina Monito. It sits on a little more than an acre of land for true privacy. Just minutes away from Manuel Antonio's great restaurants, attractions and beaches by taxi, bus or rental car. The abundant wildlife that visits is amazing - squirrel monkeys, white faced monkeys, howler monkeys, toucans, macaws, sloths and many more. Since the house borders the National Park, it’s as though you’re staying in the park!
The house has an open concept main floor which is open air and boasts a fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, granite counters and island with bar stools. The kitchen is open to the family and dining rooms which flow to the large lanai with a grill and infinity pool. There are serene views of the jungle with a beautiful view off of the two expansive balconies. The private infinity pool is perfect for lounging with a cocktail to watch the sunset after a full day ziplining, white water rafting, horseback riding or touring the National Park. The pool is surrounded by the lush canopy of the rainforest and gardens below with a constant breeze. The outdoor shower is a great way to end the day or use one of the two upgraded bathrooms inside with rainshower heads. A new rock-lined path to the waterfall on the property is another great activity during the daylight hours.
There are 2 large air-conditioned bedrooms with beautiful high wood ceilings, one with a king bed downstairs and the other with 1 king and 1 queen bed upstairs. Each bedroom has large newly remodeled en-suite baths with walk in rain shower and granite counters. There is a washer and dryer for your use on the main level.
The many amenities include: personal concierge services, daily maid service (except Sundays), toiletries and towels, barbecue grill on the lanai, high speed internet, and ample private parking. Our concierge is happy to arrange tours with pick ups at the house, a masseuse or private chef for the week or for just a few nights of your stay, and recommend local restaurants. It’s all up to you! If you prefer to dine out, taxis can be arranged. Manuel Antonio has endless affordable dining options for a wide variety of palates.

I have been wow-ed by the listing for months and looking forward to our stay at Casa Serena. It did not disappoint. We were traveling with our three teen/young adult sons to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We spent three nights at Casa Serena as part of our trip. It was a treat to have a concierge (Wai) and a housekeeper during our stay. Wai helped us book a couple of excursions including an ATV adventure and national park guide. He also answered my questions during planning about rental cars and other activities. The housekeeper made us fresh squeezed juice from the star fruit tree in the yard. Wai met us at check in and showed us the house. We were drawn to the patio and balcony with amazing views of Manuel Antonio Park and the Pacific Ocean. Shortly after our arrival several white face monkeys appeared at the patio. It was a joy to watch them watching us and eating fruit from the trees. We also took advantage of the private chef for one night of our stay. Again, what a treat! We were comfortable hanging out as a family in the house, enjoying breakfast by the pool and a puzzle on a rainy afternoon. We also took advantage of nearby pizza delivery one night when it was raining so hard we did not feel comfortable navigating the steep winding road to the house in the dark. I would love to stay at Casa Serena again. It was an amazing experience!

We loved our stay in this fabulous home. It felt large, open and airy with beautiful views of the surrounding jungle. We are avid bird watchers and animal lovers and this house did not disappoint. We saw more birds and animal species at the house than we did in the national park. The pool was always clean and welcoming. Let me not forget to mention the amazing Gera. Her welcoming smile and homemade starfruit juice were wonderful. Wai was responsive to all our requests. The house was secluded but close enough to town to be very convenient. This house and crew are a gem. thanks for a lovely stay!

Casa Serena is a true gem! The staff were so friendly, responsive and helpful. The house itself is gorgeous and peaceful. We enjoyed sunrises listening to howler monkeys calling and bird watching. The house had every thing you could possibly need. Highly recommend.

Wow! What an amazing home to stay at. Words cannot even describe the experience my partner and I had here. From our concierge Wai to our house maid Gera and everything in between. Wai was phenomenal and so helpful in helping us plan a vacation of a lifetime and one we will remember forever. Everyone we met was so kind and helpful. The home itself was stunning with every detail to make you feel like you were in a tropical oasis. The pool and the location were great and 10-15 min from the beaches, restaurants and stores. Highly recommend Cerdo Feliz down the street and all the excursions planned for us through Wai. We went on a guided tour, did surfing, and learned how chocolate was made and the history. Thank you so much for all the hospitality and for the unforgettable experiences we had during our stay at Casa Serena.

We were very happy with our stay at this house! There are large windows all around the house and makes it feel like you are part of the jungle! Our 3 kids ages 8, 9, and 11 said it was their dream house…and we would agree. The pool overlooks Manuel Antonio National Park and we saw monkeys, a sloth, toucans, macaws, raccoons, deer, and a variety of other birds! We were HAPPILY surprised with our house cleaner, Gera. We didn’t really expect a house cleaner, or maybe someone that just switched out towels half way. Gera came every day and cleaned our house while we were out. She did our laundry, neatly folded and hung it, cleaned the kitchen, put our dishes away, kept the bathrooms clean, changed out pool towels and we even came back to fresh made juice from some fruit on the property! As a mom, this is a dream. To adventure with your kids all day and come back to all the chores done! She was a huge blessing and very sweet. We will miss her :) Wai was very welcoming and answered any questions in a timely manner. He also stopped in to say goodbye. We have no complaints! It’s not really walking distance to town (could be done but would take a while and there are lots of hills)..that didn’t bother us though as we had a rental car! It was nice to be a little removed. Would highly recommend!

Amazing place to stay! Beautiful, clean, tastefully decorated, relaxing, comfortable…can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! Best part is the infinity pool with close views of monkeys, toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, iguanas. What a jungle paradise! Wai and Gera were kind and accommodating to our needs as well.

Thank you Wai and the entire Casa Serena crew. Our family had a lovely trip to Costa Rica. Casa Serena was spectacular. We heard and saw howler monkeys, spider monkeys and capuchins. We were visited by scarlet macaws, fiery-billed aracaris and yellow-throated toucans. Chef Kenneth was superb and we wanted to take the housekeeper, Greda, home with us.
Thank you so much for the lovely escape, Wai and team. We couldn’t be more grateful.

If you can; book it! Every day we saw monkeys, Macaws, Tuscans and so much more. It is truly a special place. We loved it so much we didn’t leave for a few days as there was so much to experience there. Wai and Gera are fantastic. Wai assisted us with car rental from the house, excursions, and having a chef for an evening. By far one of the best experiences we’ve had.

My review won’t do this property justice… Everything was amazing. Gera the housekeeper kept the place so clean. The house was spotless everyday. Wai the concierge was always available to fill a last minute request for a tour. We utilized the chef 2 nights and could’ve have been more pleased. My wife and I and our 3 kids stayed here and the home was perfect. Pool was amazing. Outdoor bathroom with shower was such a cool spot looking out into the jungle. Very short drive into town and to the beach. You will not be disappointed! Amazing home with a phenomenal location!!

Private get-away in the hills above Manuel Antonio
Our family of two adults and two teenagers enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, spacious home at the end of the road which provided plenty of privacy and relaxation. We loved the private pool and the view of the ocean in the distance. From the house we saw (and heard) spider monkeys, howler monkeys, macaws, toucans, and a sloth. The house-keeper came to clean everyday of our stay. The home and grounds are very well kept. The concierge met us at arrival and at check-out. They will help you book tours and activities if you are interested. The road to the house is steep. 4WD and high clearance vehicles managed the road with no problem, but some of the taxis we used scraped the bottom of the car getting up the last stretch. We loved our stay at Casa Serena!

Dream Location
This was one of our favorite places we stayed on our 3-week Costa Rica adventure and was the only place that felt like home. The backyard is literally the Manuel Antonio National Park. We saw families of monkeys, hummingbirds, parrots, toucans and a sloth while chilling in the pool area. The place was even more beautiful in person with plenty of room to stretch out and loads of beautiful little details. The outdoor dining area was warm and inviting.

Pura Vida!
Our family of four (2 boys, age 15 and 12) had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. Wai (concierge) made our trip super easy - setting up activities, transportation to and from the airport, providing info on the area and super fast to respond to all our questions. It was my 50th birthday and he took care of getting a beautiful cake, flowers and decorations for my day. He truly went above and beyond. The housekeeper, Gera was an absolute joy. She kept the house spotless and helped us out with our Spanish! She made the most delicious juice from the star fruit on the property. The house is gorgeous. By far the cleanest home we’ve ever rented. The pool area and patio are lovely. Tons of wildlife - lots of monkey visits, toucans, scarlet macaws and iguanas. The furnishings are comfortable- excellent mattresses and the kitchen is very well equipped. We prepared dinner two nights while we were there and had all the necessary supplies including a very nice grill. The location is perfect- quiet and private, but just a quick taxi ride away. Highly recommend this property and hope to return!

AMAZING!
So much fun! The staff was responsive to any questions and concerns, the place was clean, we even got starfruit smoothies! It was fun to watch the monkeys and the birds while at the pool. The infinity pool was amazing. The rooms and showers were fabulous. The road to get to the property is long and winding, but by the end of the week my husband was a pro at navigating it!. I would recommend this property to everyone visiting Costa Rica!

Stellar property and management
This is a great house, Casa Serena, for 2 couples or a family withe older children. The property is impeccable and the staff friendly and courteous. They go above and beyond to make one’s stay awesome. One my hire their chef to cook if desired. He cooked a couple meals for us and prepared wonderful, and tasty gourmet dinners. It included a daily housekeeper, Geraldine, and concierge, Wai. There is great attention to detail by all of them. I encourage anyone planning to Stay in Quepos or the Manuel Antonio area to consider this property. I want to thank you all for your hard work to make our stay perfect. It was a pleasure to have met all of you! Pura Vida!

Great stay!
This was our first time in Costa Rica and I couldn't be happier with the location and overall cleanliness and updates of the house. Our concierge was also extremely helpful in planning everything for us and answering all our questions. Overall it was a great experience and I would love to come back again as soon as possible.
