It speaks for itself - this was our third visit to Dunmor House. The location is good - in easy reach of the Trossachs, Stirling, Perth, Glasgow and Edinburgh so there are plenty of things to do - and the local shops are within walking distance. The house offers flexible accommodation and suits our large family group. The games room is a great asset and there is plenty of room in the house to either spend time as a large group or to enjoy some quiet time if needs be! We usually enjoy the garden too - unfortunately the weather didn't allow for that this time around .......The hosts are very accommodating and are easy to contact if needs be - the welcome pack is much appreciated. This is a comfortable house that we feel very much at home in when we visit which makes for a relaxing holiday.

Family get together from Salford & Aberdeen so Callander ideal spot. The boys (aged 20-31) loved the snooker table and as it rained most evenings it was a god send

Came here with my family to celebrate my 60th birthday. Communication with the owner was excellent and check in accommodated us arriving early. There was everything and more on offer. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the kitchen was stocked with everything you could ask for.the selection of games kept everyone entertained. And the gift of chocolates and wine gave that extra special.touch...would definitely recommend and return.

We had a great mini break at Dunmor House with family. It is a well maintained, comfortable and well equipped house. There were 14 of us but it didn’t feel in the least crowded. There are numerous sitting areas and it was fantastic that everyone had their own bathroom.
The pool table/table tennis table was a great hit with the adults and the mini version games table was a winner with the kids. Loads of garden/conservatory games as well.
Amazing view from the conservatory and it was so handy for shops, parks etc.
I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, spacious property in the heart of the picturesque village of Callander.
A weekend for my 70th birthday with my family. There was plenty of room in the house which was so comfortable and cozy.
We all made use of the games rooms and garden and thankfully the weather was very kind to us.
A great location for a family getaway with plenty of room for us all to enjoy ourselves.
Zillah, our host, was so helpful and easily contactable if we needed any help or advice.
I would highly recommend this property.

This was a weekend stay for 14 family members to celebrate a 70th birthday. This accommodation was brilliant for all ages, from ages 6 to 70, with entertainment for everyone!! The games room was a hit, as was the conservatory with other activities and games. Plenty of rooms for everyone to spread out, and, to be all together! Great communication with the owner. Toiletries provided for all 5 shower rooms and 2 bathrooms, as well as most cleaning items required for the kitchen. A fantastic weekend was had by all. We would do it again!! Thank you.

We booked the house for a surprise 70th birthday gathering , with family coming from different parts of the uk it was an ideal midway meeting point . The house is huge! It is tastefully decorated and well equipped with most things. The games room was perfect for the kids and adults alike and we enjoyed many games of pool. We enjoyed the garden games as we were lucky with the weather also. And sitting in the conservatory enjoying the sunshine. We had a very mixed range of ages so having lots of different rooms meant people could spread out and be where they wanted to be. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with large cooker, plenty plates and cutlery pots and pans. Could do with a couple large serving dishes but otherwise perfect. The beds are very comfortable and my husband and I slept better than we do at home! There are lots of comfy sofas around the house also so always room for everyone. The large dining tables were great so everyone could eat together. The garden was a great space, we had a visiting hedgehog on the first night too! The area is lovely. Lots to do and nice pubs, shops- the Mhor Bread shop in the village sells amazing bread and pies. We would definitely return to Callander and this property.

We have just spent a week in Calander staying at Dunmor House. Everyone enjoyed our time away. The house is large enough and easily accommodated our group. With ages ranging from 82 down to 7 there were games, pool table, table tennis and Netflix so something for all ages. The kitchen is very well supplied with everything you need. We would certainly recommend this property. The shops cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance. Owner was quick to reply to any questions we had and on arrival we found a gift of wine and chocolates left for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, which has a somewhat quirky layout but has lots of space. Bedrooms are on multiple levels, and several family spaces meant plenty of options for kids and adults to do their own thing. Our group would have liked at least one more twin room option (only really one twin) to make rooms work better for family groups but that was just our preference. Kids loved the games room with huge tv and pool/table tennis table! Host was really helpful and messaged us to offer early check in and late check out, which made our holiday much more relaxed and was really appreciated. Great location with easy walking distance to town, park and cycle tracks.

We had a great time, there were 14 of us along with 2 dogs and house is very spacious so we were not falling over each other. The owners had put toiletries in every room and left us bin bags as well as dish water tablets, the only thing that was missing was maybe some cleaning products to allow us to clean if required. Overall it is a lovely big house in a great location and fantastic for a relaxing few days away

We had a great family weekend. Plenty space with a range of seating and dining areas. Teenagers enjoyed the pool table and table tennis facility. Younger children had fun with the table football/air hockey in the conservatory. It was a good place for hide and seek which kept little people entertained. Two of the grandchildren declared it the best house we’ve ever been to and there have been a few over the years. That said it all for me.

The house was lovely and in a nice location. The bathrooms were well stocked in terms of products. There was over double the required amount of utensils such as cutlery, place mats, soft furnishings for the outdoor furniture. The activities within the house were plentiful with many many games available to play. Overall it was an excellent place to stay and would highly recommend.

The property was perfect for our party of four adults and three children spanning three generations. Welcome gift and some basics like sugar, long life milk pots etc to tide you over until you can get own supplies if necessary. Sister enjoyed the coffee machine. En suites are a real bonus, as everyone has their own space and can keep their own spaces clean. The extra things like pool table and air hockey table, as well as giant TVs kept children entertained. Plenty of seating areas and dining areas, including outdoors. Location is perfect for exploring the Trossachs, and Callender main road just minutes away, as well as a Tesco Express for any bits and bobs.
Good to be able to control heat with Hive, and appreciated ample dishwasher tablets and detergent for washing machine.
Just a couple of things would have made it perfect: kitchen roll, more than one tea towel, foil and more cling film as not much of this in the drawer. Some soap scum residue in showers but that’s being very picky. We had some bum lightbulbs but quickly resolved during our stay. But other than that, a great property, and overall clean and welcoming.

Fab Holiday
We had a very memorable two-week stay at Dunmor House recently. The house was ideal for a large group of adults, children and dogs, and the location was extremely convenient for shopping and exploring the lovely area. The centre of Callander is literally a few minutes’ walk from the house, where the local pies are delicious and the butcher is excellent.
The games room was perfect for the children, equipped with a pool/table tennis table, huge screen, sofas and board games. The mezzanine level was also a great place for some of them to sleep and share bathrooms, while the rest of us had an ensuite bathroom each.
For the dogs, the fully enclosed garden was essential, and there are a few footpaths on the doorstep to take them for a walk.
We cooked a lot, so the barbecue and huge table and chairs (in & out) were very useful. There could have been more large pans/serving dishes in the kitchen and sharper knives, but we managed.
Overall, we would highly recommend Dunmor House. The owner has been so helpful and quick to respond to any queries.
