It was perfect! The host went out of their way to help when we arrived. Everything we could've needed was provided and were all in good clean condition. The host went above and beyond to make sure children were catered for and their room were cosy and the added books were a lovely touch. Would definitely book again
I honestly have nothing to complain about

it was an old and tired property which had a damp feel to it had an old type caravan smell but hey it was cheap and you can’t expect more for the price, this east an holiday as such it was just somewhere to sleep.
Facilities where nice I.e the boat house but the service system at the bar was a pathetic way of serving, you had to stand in a long line of customers just to buy drinks because the food orders was too slow, the other facilities where far toooooo expensive for entry tickets, thus needs changing because why should you pay to get in then spend more money when you are in there, NOT GOOD at all, it’s a clean and tidy site but could do with some changes.
old, cold, and a damp feel to it, the heating was poor in the rooms but had a good gas fire but seemed a shame to have it banging away all the time and wouldn’t dare leave it on

There was a lot of mud outside and my daughter kept almost walking it inside we had to take shoes off outside and our shoes were filthy, but I did wipe the kitchen floor daily incase a little mud got on the mat

When we arrived, we were told that as a result of an issue with the caravan we had booked they had upgraded us to another unit, which would be better for us as it had central heating. The location of the property was brilliant, close to the lake and very quiet & peaceful. We loved the fact that there were cleaning items in the caravan, which made it easier for us to maintain the cleanliness through the caravan.
We didn't like that there were some seat cushions missing for the suite in the living room. This made is quite difficult for us all to sit together as a family . There were two bathrooms, both showers worked OK however, one bathroom the taps in the sink were broken and so we all had to get a wash in the other bathroom, this was not great.

The space in the van was brilliant, there was plenty of room for my 1 yr old to crawl around without getting under the feet. Kids lived playing outside near the pond and lived feeding the ducks and watching the little ducklings.
The sheet on the sofa bed didnt look clean so we put a blanket over it to sleep on. Also there were a few yappy dogs in vans close by which made it difficult when settling the baby as the van was warm but we couldnt have the windows open due to the constant barking at 8pm.

The caravan was clean and very welcom. At the bathroom we had soap from avon and as avon representan I can just say that is an excellent idea. We had chair for outside and different games and toys for our little one.
The signal on tv wasn't very good but didn't affect a lot as we were more outside.

the caravan itself was lovely, plenty of space etc
we were told that the bar and restaurant would be open and nothing was open on the park so we had to travel out of the park for food etc.

everything was perfect… I loved all the skulls. and the childrens books, games and dvds are a great touch.
fully enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.

Lovely comfy caravan and had everything you needed. Situated in a quiet spot and close to the parks amenities. Definitely reccomend a stay with sandcastle holidays.

the site was in a lovely location, so pretty with lots of waterfalls, lakes & ducks around.
as soon as we arrived there was no gas, so rang straight away and got a new bottle almost straight away, however once he had left we went to put the cooker on but no gas coming through so rang straight back this was at 4pm, I must have rang over 10 times to say that the bottle has been changed but not connected correctly, maintanance turned up at 9pm leaving us all evening with no cooking facilities or washing facilities, also unable to go out for a meal as we had to wait for maintanance to arrive, so very disappointed in that
Also although I appreciate this was a private caravan rental, I don't think it's appropriate to have ornaments of skeletons / skulls and lots of them in all the rooms, very unpleasant to see, but not for me to removed and put in a draw as they were also pictures of skulls on the walls too,
