Beautiful views & property. Needs some TLC but all in all great location & layout.

The house is beautiful. We really enjoyed the deck and water view. There are stairs down to the water but the coast is very rocky with lots of seaweed so not optimal for swimming. Otherwise we loved the home, and it was as shown in photos!

We will for sure be back! Perfect for family!

Beautiful views. House was very nice but had some trouble trying to unlock the door.
Had on the site there was a beach. Where’s the beach? I didn’t see any beach. There were just large boulders.

The property was absolutely beautiful and very well supplied with kitchen supplies, as well as towels, etc. The issue was getting into the property. door did not work. We got into the house through the garage, which was left unlocked The water was not hot. taking a shower was lukewarm at best. the doors were extremely difficult to open. There were two sets of instructions for leaving, one was on your site. The other was printed out and left at the property. You need to have just one set of instructions that agree. Fabulous property, however it needs more outdoor seating. it sleeps 10 however, they were only 4 chairs on the deck. The views were awesome, very quiet and peaceful.

The location was amazing, views are outstanding. The house itself is beautiful, huge, clean, and the fireplace is great. The woodwork & cabinetry are awesome, nice finishes, etc.
There were a few things that the house could use - hair dryers, lamps in the living room, instructions on the lighting in the house (confusing and hard to find what you are looking for), and some sort of dresser or shelves in the 3rd bedroom would be great.
I can't wait to go back! It is a keeper!!

The views from the house were spectacular! However, we were without hot water for 2 days. The property mgmt team was lax in getting this problem rectified. In addition, it was mentioned the pinball machines, elliptical and treadmill didn't work and there were issues with some of the lights flikering or not working at all. These problems weren't addressed while we were vacationing at the house.
4.2
Great views. House pretty clean & supplies were fine except only 3 coffee cups for 6 adults. VACasa said they would get more cups. They failed, never received. Some lights didn't work & lots of dead bugs in light fixtures.
4.2
The views were beautiful and it was a quiet place to relax, but we were otherwise disappointed with our stay. The property was not well maintained. We encountered two roaches. There were numerous ants in the master bathroom. Two of the toilet paper holders had fallen off the walls and had not been replaced. Only one light in the kitchen worked (a known maintenance problem that was not disclosed to us before our arrival) and the non-functioning lights were not repaired while we were there. Two light fixtures could not be turned all the way off and were constantly on dim. The two exercise machines downstairs could not be used because any use resulted in the electrical circuit tripping. Many windows were not operable or labeled as do not open.

The property in Westport was wonderful. Located right on a large river connecting to the ocean. Lots to see from the wraparound deck looking out over the water.
The home was spacious and well-appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed as well as high end appliances.
A nice unusual feature was two vintage pinball machines in the lower level of the home.
We would definitely rebook this property if we travel to the Boothbay Harbor/Wiscasset area again.

Everything was perfect

The staff was a fabulous. We needed the manager because we couldn’t unlock the door or lockbox. Many light bulbs needed to be replace, a bedside lamp was missing, the hairdryer was gone, and the tv would only play Netflix.

We had a wonderful time. The views are amazing from the living room, deck, and bedrooms, and the open living room had ample seating for our group to relax. Overall very much what we were looking for.

This big, light filled house is located on a beautiful, isolated, peninsula on Westport Island with amazing views of the Sheepscot River. But, and it is a big BUT, the house is being neglected. It is a terrible shame to see this happen because it is an amazing house. My biggest problem is the odor coming from the kitchen. I believe it is the drains/traps/septic. The odor is so bad, that I had to keep windows open to even stand near the sink. The place is very clean, but I would not stay here again because of this. Both oven doors are broken, which is a shame because they are high end appliances. Many of the windows and even more screens need repair. Don't get me wrong, the windows and doors provide an amazing, view, but they need help.

Home needs some minor attention to get that 5th-star. Primarily lights and doors. So many switches, none are labelled and many seem to do nothing. Very few of the outside lights work. We arrived late to a completely dark home. Later found the only front light that works is on the garage, but controlled by a switch above the kitchen sink! Struggled with the front door entry and had to enter through a back door. Later found the front entry requires turning the key all the way counter-clockwise, with extra push on the key, holding it in that position while pushing open the door. The lower floor back door has a similarly difficult process that took several days to figure out. Instructions would have been nice. The home was clean, but mold behind bathroom sinks and in showers could be easily eliminated with a bleach spray. Since the home does not have A/C, use of windows is necessary, but many windows had broken screens, shades, or opening mechanisms. We used those that did work and it sufficed. The home is spacious and had everything we needed. We did enjoy our stay. The view is beautiful and the environment very peaceful.

The stay was wonderful! The rooms were clean and organized, and the ocean view was a treat to take-in every morning. Thank you!

A beautiful home with hardwood and slate floors throughout, high end kitchen (subzero frig), large rooms, and ocean views from nearly every room. The rocking chairs on the porch are the best spot to enjoy the view. The family room and table are large, ideal for families. The vintage pinball machines in the basement were a surprise treat! There are timeless granite steps down to water with solid railing.
Several windows, about a third, are rotting, don't open (labeled as such), or don't close. We opened one (not labeled other wise) and it about fell off. When it later rained, I had to go outside and try to close it some to keep rain from entering the house. As such, the house is left unsecured and exposed to the elements.

Loved the view and how quiet it was. Nice big space for a group and en-suite bed/bathrooms were a plus!
4.2
Amazing location with great views of the water all around and stone steps leading down to the waters’ edge. No traffic noise, just the sound of the waves (and seals) at night. You can watch lobstermen pulling pots from the front deck and practically every room. Plenty of space for our family to spread out and we spent a lot of time just sitting on the deck enjoying the quiet and the ocean. We didn’t mind the lack of personal decorations, but there were a few things about the property that were less than ideal – the first was the cleaning. It was clear walking in that the property had not been cleaned. Floors, surfaces and bathrooms were dirty with remains of soap and debris from prior renters still present. While we don’t expect the cleaners to look at every dish, when the top one is greasy or drawers/cabinets still have food remnants present it feels like the cleaning crew should have noticed. The other thing is that two of the sets of bedding weren’t well laundered (being kind here) and had hair and sand in between the sheets. There is laundry on site so we were able to correct the problem. The other thing is the building itself, while beautiful, needs some investment – the windows are all casement style with retractable screens and 50% or more of them didn’t work at all or required some additional manual help to get opened or closed. Not a huge deal but for a luxury property you’d expect more of them to be working. All in all I’d say we’d probably stay again especially if we had a large group – it’s not a quick drive to Boothbay Harbor (we were in town for an event there) but close enough to be pretty manageable. Get your groceries on your way in, it’s a bit of a hike back to the store.

Everything was awesome.
A couple of small issues I addressed with Vacasa and I'm sure it's taken care.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Very quite and relaxing home base for exploring the coast.

We chose this home for the views and were not disappointed. We watched harbor seals and bald eagles from the porch, listened to the waves crashing along the rocks, and enjoyed beautiful sunsets and sunrises.
The home itself is lacking a bit, like other reviews state, in terms of decor or other amenities. There is some unused space that could improve the overall atmosphere. The home is a bit out, but we knew that going in (to get on the shoreline). The road is a bit curvy and then unpaved, and I also wouldn't travel it at night. The one night we were delayed returning, we found ourselves going very slow to avoid deer, dogs, and other wildlife.
The hot water would run out with our family of 7, so we scheduled showers as needed. Water jugs were supplied for drinking and we purchased additional for coffee and travel.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was very quiet and allowed us to relax for the week. The wifi was sufficient when I had to perform some work tasks. I would recommend to anyone who is open to driving a bit back into the small towns along the coast for an adventure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and in Maine. We had a few issues which were attended to quickly. The rental team was incredibly responsive, especially since it was over Christmas. It's a beautiful and quiet setting and pretty well equipped for a large-ish group.

A little off the beaten path but setting and water views from Kehail point are well worth it. Quiet, serene, beautiful. Perfect escape from our otherwise crazy lives.

Beautiful view with an amazing house. I say house because there isn’t much here that makes it a home. Completely empty minus beds and couches. No personal touches which makes it seems empty. Also some maintenance issues with windows and some areas of the wall. But overall a beautiful spot right on the edge of the ocean. Bit of a drive from Wiscasset but it is well worth it! Also Vacasa is amazing we got upgraded to this beautiful spot since our last wasn’t livable. They made the transition amazing and even dropped water off! Will be using Vacasa again!!!

This place was perfect for a quiet retreat. There are steps down to the rocky shore but not exactly water accessible. It's a 20-minute drive to town for groceries, etc., and the road is dark and windy. This is something to keep in mind if you have concerns driving at night. The home is beautiful but they could make better use of some spaces. In terms of amenities, it felt a little more like a hotel than a VRBO. Other places I've been to have more homey touches. The property manager was great and quick to respond to any concerns.

The house itself and the view were fantastic. Good location with easy access to grocery stores and local restaurants. The only issue we had was that it was not very clean. We had to clean the sink, freezer, refrigerator and trach can before we could use them. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here.
