This is a great family spot that is close to several nice beaches. Outside of town on a little side street so it's nice and quiet but also just a short drive to restaurants and such. We will be back next time we visit the big island.

The place was as advertised and quite nice and off the beaten path from traffic. The reason for the rating was that the temperature was set at 73 with air conditioning and we were not able to change it. We like to sleep with windows open when in Hawaii and have much less A/C. It was also more costly for the owners since the A/C was always on. We prefer to manage the temperature on our own.
The property manager was very responsive.

This is our 2nd time staying at this property. Beautiful house, great location. Only problem this time was that the inside wasn't very clean and the ac wasn't working our 1 st night stay. After talking to the property manager they quickly came out and attempted to to give it a wipe down and got the ac working. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place to stay!

That wasn't our group makeup, but we made it work. The sleeping loft beds are neither accessible nor comfortable for adults. There's a futon couch in an office-like space that folds flat for a bed.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Very private but close enough to everything we needed. Contained everything we could have wanted.
Would definitely stay there again if we venture back to Hawaii

The house was great and the property manager's were too. They checked in with me 3 times during our stay via phone and email to see if there was anything we needed.
Highly recommend this house!

The house had everything you could need for a visit to the big island. It’s located on a quiet road, but an easy walk to the shops and local beaches. The house has very generous rooms and lovely outside space. Highly recommend this for a family or group of friends.

Loved the house - spacious (could sleep 8), well stocked kitchen with everything you’ll need for cooking meals, huge veranda with outdoor living area, close to several different sites to visit!

Loved this location
We loved our stay on Holua Rd! The property was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Easy access to great beaches, and an easy walk to our snorkeling boat excursion! If we're lucky enough to return to the Big Island someday we'll try to stay here again!

Great location and accommodations!
Loved the location and amenities. 2bd, 2ba worked perfectly, but wish there was a 1/2 bath for guests other than through the bedrooms. The lanai was huge and great for entertaining outside and cooking on the grill and using the outside countertop, sink and full size fridge/freezer. It had ceiling fans which helped keep the mosquitoes away.
Large living space and dining room table was very comfortable and accommodating for family guests, who all loved the property as well.
However, the dining area and bedrooms could use more light. The dining area was too dark for working remotely.
We will keep this place in mind for future visits to Kona!

lovely!
We LOVED our week at this VRBO. The house was beautifully furnished and well stocked. The patio area was incredibly inviting. Lots of birds in the area, rather secluded and lush. We hope to return as often as possible!

Wonderful home in a quiet neighborhood
We had a very enjoyable 5 night stay in this home. The lanai was perfect for relaxing in the mornings and evenings after sightseeing on the island. We had fun watching the birds and other critters amongst the beautiful plants. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dishes to make and enjoy our home cooked meals. The toaster did seem to give us a little trouble and may need to be replaced. Shopping, restaurants, and beaches were convenient to get to. Our only disappointment was that the walkable beach from the property was much more rocky than sandy. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Big & private space!
The house was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Great location and wonderful outdoor space. Good for families. Supplies were a little low, so just be aware you may have to buy things like soap, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent -on top of food for the place. But on the flip side, there were lots of beach supplies & snorkel gear, so that was really great! Overall I would absolutely stay here again. It’s hard to find a place that’s big and private, within a decent budget. This place is it!

Big Island - Kona
A very nice home in a quiet neighborhood, close to ocean/bay access. Nice amenities and a great lanai space to unwind after a busy day of island adventures/exploration. Enjoyed listening to and watching a variety of birds, along with a neighborhood rooster as our alarm clock. Convenient to grocery shopping, and a variety of good restaurants.

Nice property, good location. Beds are horrible with springs only and no mattress on twin beds .
This property needs an update. No matching silverware or glasses. The twin beds, pull out couch and bedroom facing street are bad mattresses. The twins and pull out are springs basically. Very uncomfortable. If they intend to rent this out they need to replace the mattresses and silverware.

Great, spacious home for larger group
We enjoyed staying at this property so much! The home was clean and had all the necessities needed at a short term rental and so much more! The property had an abundance of beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and beach toys for use. We packed all this in our baggage but there is no need-all the extras are there for you. I also appreciated the spice cabinet with several options for cooking. Many vacation rentals have no spices and you are stuck purchasing salt, pepper, etc. when as a renter know it will go to waste upon your departure. A wonderful landing spot after fun days adventuring. We highly recommend this property.

Spacious, comfortable home in quiet neighborhood
Great location for a long stay. Comfortable and fully appointed. Great water pressure. Just two complaints: (1) dishwasher needs to be replaced. It runs but doesn't work. The dishes were still dirty, so I had to wash everything by hand. (2) Thermostat is locked so no way to adjust it. It was generally too cool during the day and too warm at night for me.

Great location
Our stay was wonderful. The house had everything you needed and more. It’s located at a dead end which is great as there is no traffic. Quiet spot and close to the harbor where our family went snorkeling and played volleyball with the locals. Great experience and thanks for sharing your home with our family!

Fantastic Family Home
We had a lovely time in this home. The location is fantastic,-close to beaches and shopping, yet tucked away in a quite neighborhood for a peaceful island vibe. There were beach toys, beach towels, chairs, etc. for use. Great jumping off point for many island adventures.

Hawaiian Oasis
This home is everything that's promised plus more! While the house itself does not have ocean views, it is a very short 5 minute walk to the water with swimming, snorkeling, and sunset-watching opportunities. Great, quiet neighborhood with short drives to shopping and sand beaches. This home made our first visit to Hawaii extra special!

We fell in love
This listing was exactly as described and even more! It had literally any and everything we ever needed and was located in the best location. Not too far from great food and beaches, but far enough from all of the resorts. We all absolutely loved this home and everything it had to offer. We were a little sus about how little reviews there were, but we jumped the gun and it turned out to be the best decision! 5 stars all around.
