About this villa rental
Enjoy the privacy of your own Tuscan home combined with resort-worthy amenities at VILLA REGINA. Located a few minutes away from Lucca town, on a hill in Cappella in the Lucca Wine Country region, the four-bedroom property has space for a large family or group of friends, rustic charm to spare and an ideal location close to wineries and amazing restaurants. Explore the estate, tour local wineries or simply relax in the jacuzzi bath or by the manicured garden and take in the sunset views.
Set amid green lawns with panoramic views of rolling hills, the stone villa offers plenty of space to soak in the Tuscan sun. Choose from the chaise longue by the house, a shady spot under an old tree, or a seat in the wild flowers field off one side of the house. Though you can enjoy great restaurants experiences, save room for a meal at the outdoor dining area. The kitchen is a treat for foodies. For entertainment, there’s Wi-Fi access, and for comfort, you'll find a delightful feature of air conditioning at the midway point of the staircase. Our split air conditioning units distribute cool air to the upstairs sleeping area, while also allowing the refreshing breeze to flow down to the ground floor. This ensures a consistently pleasant and comfortable atmosphere throughout the entire villa.
Originally a farmhouse, the villa has been fully restored to preserve its stone walls and beamed ceilings, but the furnishings add a modern twist. In the living room, neutral sofas, soft chairs in grey linen and a traditional-style wooden coffee table cluster around the cosy fireplace (not usable). The dining room is fresh and simple, with wooden chairs, warm white walls and plenty of light from the large windows. In the fully equipped kitchen, a striking wood island makes a roomy work space or handy serving station.
Each of VILLA REGINA’s four bedrooms has a private bathroom (some of which are ensuite), and a warm mix of traditional and rustic style.
A stay at VILLA REGINA wouldn’t be complete without a stroll around Lucca’s vineyards and woods, plus a day at the close by beaches of Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore or Forte dei Marmi. Livorno, Montecatini Terme, Pistoia, Pisa and Florence are all between 20 and 50 kms while Cinque Terre is just 70 kms away. After you’ve explored the enchanting surroundings, it’s only 6 km to the Lucca with its historical city centre and just 2 km to lovely groceries and shops. The hamlet of Camaiore is about 15 km away, and if you have a plane to catch, the Pisa airport is about 35 km away and the Florence airport is about 70 km away.
Check-in is between 4pm and 9pm.
A late check-in is possible with an extra fee of Euro 50 up to midnight, 100€ after midnight.

Amazing property.... even better than the pictures. Location was just what we were looking for. Specious home for a family of 8. 5 full bathrooms, specious kitchen, living room, and out side area. Definitely worth the price! Host was very helpful. We did have issues with the heater but they tried their best to have it fixed as soon as possible.

A beautiful villa with amazing views of the vineyards and countryside. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Luca. Wonderful host who are always there for all our needs. Thank you for the delicious cookies, wine, and fruit. It was appreciated. A cartaxis are definitely needed to get around, nothing within walking distance.

The Villa Regina was more beautiful than the photos! Our host, Erica, was phenomenal. She was able to make several recommendations for us during our stay, including a personal Chef service (two chefs came to our villa the first night and cooked us an amazing dinner served outside!) and she set us up with a hairstylist who also came to our villa and gave three of us a hairstyle before a concert in Lucca. Erica was also quick to respond with any questionsconcerns before and during/after our stay. This was top notch service for us! Now about the Villa itself! It's to die for. The view, well-maintained yard and outside furniture, the jacuzzi...everything outside and inside was pristine. They even left high quality soap and lotion boxed sets in every bathroom. The kitchen is great for cooking. There is a winery just steps away where we went for a tasting - they sell great wines and the people who own/work there are also wonderful (and not expensive!). Basically, this place is a gem!

I stayed at Villa Regina with my family and it was absolutely wonderful. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
The property was beautiful and our host Erica was great, but I would like to point out a couple items:
1. It was very disappointing that we never had the opportunity to use the Jacuzzi because it just didn't get hot and no one came by to check it. We were told that it was a holiday weekend, but we had reported it enough times and each time we were told the owner is not available to come. I feel that at least one of those days the owner or someone should have come by to at least check the issue we were having.
2. The dryer took all day to dry clothes. We were told it is a new dryer and the temperature just doesn't get that hot, but I don't know if that really was the case.
3. I would like to suggest that increase the amount of bath towels etc. for each guest.
Otherwise it was an amazing stay. Thank you.

This could be out of a magazine inside and out. Quite simply it was in Perfect Order. There wasn’t one thing missingout of place. The furnishings were decorated like a 5 star boutique hotel. The views cannot be captured in a picture - wide open rolling Tuscan hills. The tall trees were decorated for the holidays with lights and holly in the planters. The hot tub kept the nights perfect with starlit views and distant glow of Lucca over the hills in the distance. The host met us, the owners left us dessert - it was the way of a lifetime. You won’t regret a pennya moment of this investment. Cheers Regina!

Our stay here was a dream come true. The view from the bedroom windows was like a painting, it was that perfect. The furniture and everything inside the villa was as impressive as the pictures. We rented a car which made the experience so much more convenient with stores, a pharmacy and local restaurants all within a 10-minute drive. I'm upset we didn't get to visit the Winery that our most helpful villa manager recommended but we organised a paint and sip instead where we painted our view from the villa of the sunset we saw with our own eyes. We went to Tuscany expecting a lot and got way more than we bargained for. I would definitely stay here again!

Awesome house with a great location in the hills. Very green neighborhood, nice layout with many bathrooms, very clean and opulent interior design, but you always need a car. We did a wine tasting nearby, that was very nice and we can recommend it.

Absolutely Dreamy Home Base
What a gorgeous property in a gorgeous setting! Lucca proved to be a great homebase for everything we wanted to do. Cinque Terre and Florence are within an hour and central Tuscany with Volterra and Siena are an hour and a half away. All easy day trips! We wanted to stay in a smaller town that was still big enough to have the stores and restaurants available, Lucca was perfect! So for location it was perfect for us. As far as the property goes we could’ve spent every day there with no day trips and been in heaven! Plenty of space, four bedrooms, gorgeous scenery, hot tub and yard. We went on walks with the kids either up the hill to the little chapel and the amazing mountaintop views, or down the hill to the local bar for some sandwiches and drinks. The property is gorgeous and comfortable. The property manager was responsive and helpful. You will not regret staying here!

Value and beauty of villa Regina cannot be beat.
The quintessential Italian villa experience! A beautifully maintained home with truly stunning views. The villa looks just like the photos and everything is high quality and clean. The host even left us some baked goods that were delicious and made us feel very welcomed. It is worth noting that this property is managed through Lucca apartment rentals so you’ll have to complete check in and document verification on an external site. We met our host at check in and check out. This was a nice personal touch but can make coordination a bit complicated with changing travel schedules. Overall, if you are looking for a villa in Tuscany look no further!
