The cottage is great. A little chilly at night but overall it was great. Easy access to 101 and beach. Very pleased. Will likely rent again!

This charming, cozy, and welcoming one-bedroom is a gem bordering Santa Barbara and Montecito. Perfect place for my wife to relax while I work. Jill is very responsive and has taken excellent care of the property. We look forward to returning!

Jill's place is super clean, roomy and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked...LOTS of spices. Nice back patio and front deck area with beautiful views of the ocean and sunset (maybe sunrise too, not sure as we weren't up that early). Really comfy bed too. Such a nice quiet neighborhood. Our stay (4 nights in October) was great!

Nice location, easy check-in and check-out, very comfortable and cozy cottage for a couple. Would stay there again.

House is in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean. Was clean, bed was comfortable and neighborhood was quiet. Will definitely stay again.

We loved Jill's vrbo. It was open, plenty pf space, confortable, very clean, and about 45 minute nice walk to the beach, boardwalk etc- Jill responded to my numerous questions, requests, clarifications- kind and respectful. We would be lucky to stay here again.

This place is lovely, and the host, Jill, is super helpful and responsive! The king bed is very comfortable, as are the couch and chairs on the back deck. The many large windows (with almost complete privacy) allowed me to watch the sunset every night from anywhere inside the living/kitchen area. Everything is labeled, with clear instructions for the TV and all else. Closer to Montecito village than Santa Barbara, but even SB is only 10 minutes away. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and almost didn't want to write this review, just so I could book it without y'all clamoring and blocking my future stays. Enjoy!

The open windows and doors let the breeze flow through. The mockingbird wooed me, and I coveted the lemons on the next-door neighbor's tree just over the fence.
The place was peaceful, clean, and extremely comfortable for 5 days. The bed was very comfortable. We didn't cook, but the kitchen had everything we would need if we had.
The bathroom was equipped, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryer, and lots of towels.
Great communication with Jill.
We spent a lot of time on the back patio looking up at the birds swooping here and there. Recommend this place.
One note is that you can hear the freeway, but it's worth it for everything else this beauty provides.

We had a great stay. Property is perfectly located on east side. Walking distance to Santa Barbara beaches and Montecito restaurants/shops. Setup had everything we needed for 9 day stay. Full kitchen, bbq, separate bedroom, very large open area for living room/kitchen and a super quiet neighborhood. Would stay again when in area.

Loved being in the hills, viewing the ocean, and able to drive downtown in less that 10 minutes. House was quiet and bed was amazing!

We liked the location of the cottage within a quiet neighbourhood. We liked that it is cosy and clean inside with nice views from the windows.
The kitchen is equipped with everything needed. Only the pots were quite old.

We loved staying here. It was quiet and comfortable. They have a very comfortable king bed in the bedroom. The room tended to be cold, but the quilt was very warm and we did not mind. The kitchen is very well stocked. They have a great desk for someone who needs to work. The location allows you to stay off the freeway which we loved.

Very nice east Santa Barbara location close to Montecito but still close to everything in downtown. Lovely ocean view and well appointed kitchen. Comfortable bed and easy parking. All in all, a wonderful place to stay

Jill's place was the perfect mini getaway for us. Tucked away enough for peace and relaxation but not so much that food and entertainment are just a short trip away. Check-in was easy and Jill was easily reachable should we need anything but the home was equipped with everything we needed and easy instructions to get to them.

This was the perfect place for our Santa Barbara vacation. Incredible view, clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable everything, great kitchen and excellent location.

This unit gives you most of the comforts of home. All you need is a trip to the grocery store to really settle in. But think twice before booking during hot weather as there is no AC and it can be downright miserable during the heat of the day. The host is very accommodating and responsive.

I really wanted to like this property, however, there were cobwebs hanging from the lights and ceiling inside. On the outside the spiderwebs had plenty of food trapped in the lights and on the stairs coming up. The stair railings were dusty/dirty.
It just looked like the place needed a little TLC and a bit more than what the cleaning person does - as it appeared was not much other than the towels, sheets, and sweeping/vacuuming the floors. Check out instructions included emptying the trash, Washing all dishes, and stripping the bed (preferred). Also, was only provided a partial roll of TP, so if your stay is long, bring your own. The fan also has a rubbing sound which is very noticeable at night. Other than that, it served it's intended purpose of a place to rest our head at night.

The property was so excellent and Jill was so nice we hated to leave.

NOT AS GOOD AS WE HAD EXPECTED
CHECK-IN TIME IS 4 PM. WE ARRIVED AT 4:30 AND OUR UNIT WAS NOT READY ( USED SHEETS AND TOWELS WERE PILLED ON FLOOR). WHEN NOTIFIED THE OWNER AND SHE FOUND OUT THAT THE HOUSECLEANING CREW HAD CLEANED THE WRONG UNIT. SHE SUGGESTED THAT WE DRIVE AROUND FOR AN HOUR OR SO. THEY DID A GOOD JOB IN CLEANING OUR UNIT AND WE FINALLY GOT ACCESS AT 5:55.
WE LEARNED THAT THE OWNER, JILL WAS OUT OF TOWN. HER FRIEND TONI WAS HELPFUL AND SAID THEY WERE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
THE UNIT IS SPACIOUS AND WELL STOCKED (GOOD QUALITY & QUANTITY). IT HAS LOTS OF WINDOWS WITH A NICE VIEW. THE NICE TALL SHOWER WAS A BONUS.
USING THE TV WAS CHALLENGING. WE SUGGEST THAT AN INSTRUCTION SHEET BE PROVIDED IN THE FUTURE > SPECIFYING WHICH REMOTE TO USE AND WHICH CABLE INPUT TO SELECT.
IN CONCLUSION, THE LOCATION WAS GOOD AND OVERALL WE HAD A NICE STAY.

Visited my son at UCSB--good proximity. Felt very at home in the house--I would rent it again!

Perfect spot for my husband and I as we visited Santa Barbara
The location was quiet and comfortable. The unit is spacious and well stocked. The king bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the sunset. The unit is an easy few minute drive to both Santa Barbara downtown and Montecito. You can avoid the 101 traffic most of the time. The unit manager was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

Very peaceful cottage
Our stay at the cottage was just what we needed. It was very private, cozy and comfortable. A full kitchen was available. We didn't cook, just heated up leftovers, but if I did cook, I would have had everything I needed. We loved the big fluffy towels in the bathroom. Jill was accommodating and was available for questions. Beautiful views from the front and back.. Hope to be back in the future.

Ocean View Cottage
Located in a quiet community in the foothills. A short drive to the downtown beach area/Funk Zone/State St. The place is very quaint and quiet. Decorated in a comfortable. Bohemian style. It has a front porch that is perfect for sipping a glass of wine and watching the world. You can see the ocean, but it's a distance. We loved it here.

Great View / Peaceful
We enjoyed the visit, I just wish it have been a couple days longer. The property was super comfortable, from the fully equipped kitchen, the outdoor sitting out back, the main room and finally the massive king-sized bed. The view from the front are great, includes the ocean in the distance. Only regret was forgetting to pack a sleeping mask - the light in the back wasn't blocked by the curtain - so don't make the same mistake.

Wonderful location
Guest cottage located near Montecito (affluent ritzy area of Santa Barbara). Owner (Jill) was very responsive. Cottage had everything we needed during our stay, no complaints. King bed was very comfortable. Insides can get warm during the day, but natural A/C of the Santa Barbara ocean breeze will cool it down quickly. Nights can be a bit on the cool side, but I did see an electric blanket in the closet (did not use myself). Washer & dryer in the garage were very convenient.

Superb
Jill was an excellent host! Her property was just like the pictures and more. The only thing you really need to bring was yourself and your clothing. We enjoyed sitting on the front and back porches. Very close to the beach and downtown Santa Barbara. We will definitely stay there again!!!
