Lovely vintage home. Our room had a nice king bed and the adjoining room had a sturdy, comfortable daybed for our teenage son. Also a trundle underneath if you have 2 kids. Though we didn't eat in the home, the fridge and microwave I’m sure would come in handy for feeding kids oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, etc, in the mornings. There is a nice table with seating for 4. Bathroom is nicely updated. A handheld shower head would go a long way for guests with a young child since there is not a bathtub. I purchased one for a summer home I used to rent and the owners told me they received many compliments on this minor improvement to their shower.
The only negatives we found were the doors. They do not fit the frames and when opening and closing doors there is a huge racket. Our son woke us a couple of times going from his bed into our room to get to the bathroom. We are heavy sleepers, but this noise to get the door open is so loud that we were concerned that it would wake the other guests. We kept it open the rest of our stay. Teens don’t need privacy 🫣
Also, and this is a BIG one. If you come in at night, as we did. Ugh! Phone flashlights weren’t any help. This home is part of some kind of compound with apartments and Air BnB rentals. The designated parking spots for this home are not marked at all and there are tow away signs everywhere, but not one sign that designated our parking options. The instructions from Vacasa/Host are not sufficient. We had trouble finding the correct entrance to our unit and spent a long first night wondering if our car would be towed. There was no street parking available. The exterior of the lodging and the parking area needs far more lighting and some parking signage. Where we parked said “Parking only for the yacht club” Our lodging was next door to that building, but apparently those parking spaces ARE for the 427 property. Who would assume that? 🙄
Lack of Exterior Lighting
Lack of Parking Signage
Extremely Loud Interior Doors due to not fitting their frames properly

The Santa Cruz suite was a great, quaint place to stay for weekend/short trips. Upon arrival the apartment was extremely clean and well furnished. The beds were very comfortable, but bed with the trundle was very squeaky but still very comfortable. All the windows had black out curtains. The bathroom had plenty of towels and hair, body, and hand soap. A hair dryer with a diffuser is also supplied. The closet provided hang storage and came equipped with an extra heater, fans, iron, and ironing board. The place also came with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, coffee, tea, cream, and sugar. There is no access to a kitchen, but a grill with a burner is provided on the patio. The place also came equip with plenty of extension cords for chargers. Overall all these amenities made our stay wonderful.
Though the place was a great place to stay, we did have some issues. First off the bathroom sink was clogged which made things a little difficult due to that being the only sink provided. We were missing one blanket for the trundle bed. The right lamp above the master bed did not work. There was no TV remote provided. We were only provided one coffee filters for two portions of coffee provided. We did have to go to the breaker box a restart one of the outlets due to it losing power, but we were able to get a response from the crew quite quickly. Overall this was a great place to stay, there were just some minor issues. I would only recommend this stay for shorter trips.
