About this cottage rental
A modern cottage with double bed in a studio situation and adjoining twin bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen and shower room which has been adapted for guests with reduced mobility.
Wallis Farmhouse is a late Georgian farmhouse in the picturesque village of Hardwick. We provide a variety of self-catering accommodation, close to the city of Cambridge in England. The house stands in extensive gardens adjoining our meadows and woodland, which border the Wimpole Way. Hardwick is 5 miles from the university city of Cambridge, and 15 miles from Ely and Newmarket.
We have six individual self-catering Barns and Cottage at Wallis Farm, each with its own unique character, and offering a variety of accommodation for two to four people. The first three are in a converted barn across the courtyard from the Farmhouse. Many of the original features of the building have been retained, and the rooms are furnished and equipped to a high standard. The second three are in modern L- shaped building and have views over the gardens and farmland. One Cottage has been adapted with a ramp for wheelchair access and a bathroom modified for people with mobility problems. All our accommodation has gas central heating with TV and internet access. Towels and Linen is provided.

This was our third time at Wallis farm. The accommodation is perfect for us. The setting is picturesque and close to Cambridgeshire where there is lots to do. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed two nights to visit my uncle in a nearby village. Great to be five minutes up the road from him and not have to fight across Cambridge from other locations.
Crab apple cottage had everything we needed. We didn’t cook as we ate with my uncle but there was two rings and a combination oven/microwave should we want to. Toaster and fridge also useful. Lovely beds great to separate the kids! Nice gardens to walk in. Would recommend highly and have already!

Found Wallis Farmhouse after a previous booking cancelled our reservation. Couldn't be more delighted. Perfect for my husband and I and adult daughter to attend Cambridge Folk Festival which, although a distance away, proved to be a quick and easy drive each day. We stayed in Crabapple. A little small for three adults but had everything we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We stayed in "Crabapple" for 3 nights and were able to travel to see our son and his family in a nearby village in no more than 10 minutes. They were unable to accommodate us as they are in the process of having an extension constructed and their house is uninhabitable. Our hosts extended the stay at very sort notice by one night which was very generous. An issue with the room we originally booked was resolved very quickly.

We spent five nights at Wallis Farmhouse this week while visiting family in Hardwick. It's ideal for this purpose, as we only really needed a place to sleep. I'd have liked to have had an option for breakfast, as we were really hungry one morning, but I'm glad it wasn't included since we would only have done it maybe once or twice. Hard to find places for breakfast in the village.
