About this house rental

This Wood Homestead was established in 1833 and is one of the original Homesteads on the Eastside of Indianapolis. The house is fully furnished with all the items like being at home. It has been recently updated and is a nice blend the old with the new. We are located one mile south of Historic Ft. Harrison and the State Park. Roughly 15 minutes from downtown Indianapolis. Plenty of parking and room for RV or Trailer. Lots of extras for the family to enjoy! Firepit, games and more! This house is a NON-SMOKING, vaping, cigar or any other substance in the home. However, there are plenty of areas outside to smoke. We also provide a complimentary bottle of wine for your pleasure for our multiple nite reservations.

This property is just as noted in the add. Pictures are very representative. Owner is adjacent but beyond a hedge/ bush row.Except for rush hour it's easy access to Indianapolis. Assume 20-30 minutes at x way speed.The property is over 150 years old but well preserved. All up to date appointments include A/C.

The home was clean, stocked with necessities, had plenty of room to cook, hangout or have some space. Easy to get to downtown and around. Communication was quick and reliable. The host added some extra touches that were appreciated. Highly recommend!

My family and I had a great stay in this home. The location was 10/15 minutes to downtown and worked out great for us. We were very comfortable here. The hostess was very accommodating and available for questions.

Not a good experience with the owner but great customer support from vrbo after owner didn’t give check in details until 10pm the day we were checking in I was never actually in the house to know about cleanliness etc

This house was perfect for our trip to Indianapolis! We wanted to stay outside the city, and it was easy enough for us to drive in for our events. Our kids absolutely loved their rooms, and they and they had fun exploring. They keep asking when we're going back!

We really enjoyed staying. The house is great! Beds were good and everything was clean. Cathy is on top of any needs you might have and goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is as good as it can be. We will definitely be back :)

The home is charming. Immaculately clean. And homelike. It was better stocked with supplies than other vrbo's we stayed at. There was good communication with the owner and she made us feel welcome. We highly recommend this property.

Home is better than we expected. Really well done remodel of an 1833 Homestead. My son enjoyed reading a book (from the in home collection) from 1897. Home had everything you could need. Will use again if we ever make it back to Indy.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at this house. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. It was equipped with everything we needed and more. The price is extremely reasonable and the house is located a short distance from beautiful Harrison Fort State Park, and it's not too far from Carmel which we very much. I would stay there again witout reservation.

My son and I visit the area to see friends who live in Lawrence. This house is perfect for our needs. It has a large yard and enough space for us to visit. It is easy to get on major roads and there is a lot of shopping nearby. I only rated the location a 4 because I would not let the kids wander around at night. The house is clean overall. However, sometimes we would find a glass or plate that needed to be rewashed because a previous renter didn’t clean it to our standards. The owners are lovely and are very responsive.

We rented the house for ten days while visiting friends in Indianapolis. The house is in a great location. Easy access to the freeway gives you quick access to many of the major attractions. The house is a beautiful old farmhouse with lots of character and gorgeous original hardwood floors. Cathy was a wonderful hostess. We will definitely stay there again!

Great little find for a good price

I was a little skeptical driving down the street as there were a few boarded up houses, but after staying there I would totally stay there again. Adorable little house, just as described. Beautifully landscaped yard and we loved sitting out on the front porch. Totally didn't realize the Rubbermaid storage container out back had a grill hiding in it, but will remember that for next time. The lights were left on for us, as we arrived at dusk, which was appreciated and the bottle of wine was enjoyed by my hubby. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

What a fantastic stay at this adorable little bungalow beautifully furnished in mission style. Sparkling clean, glossy original dark wood floors, and they thought of everything. I loved the big mirror for getting ready in the master bedroom and the gorgeous landscaped front, back, and side yards. Highly highly recommended.
