The Neighborhood:
Mount Washington is the location of Pittsburgh's “Grand View”. Perched on the hilltops just south of downtown, this neighborhood provides the most scenic view of Pittsburgh and the surrounding region. If you stand on one of the many Grandview Avenue observation decks, you have the city at your feet.
Adults in their twenties and thirties are the primary residents of Mt. Washington, as well as young families and singles. Residents enjoy being close to downtown Pittsburgh, the North Shore, the Southside, and Station Square all at once. Whether it's commuting to work or going out on a Friday night, you are strategically located for anything as a Mt. Washington resident.
Homes on Mt. Washington range from finely restored homes from the early 1900s to the red-bricks of the 1950s, to the newest single-family and multi-unit architecture styles.
The neighborhood also boasts active business districts and a wide range of parks, green spaces, and recreational activities, and is home to Pittsburgh's newest Regional Park, currently called the Grand View Scenic Byway Park. At 235 acres, the GVSBP provides spectacular views, playing fields, and trails. The Park's soon to be released trail plan will provide up to 18 miles of trails for all skill levels.
Getting Around:
You can walk to many things! that said, it is VERY hilly so bring your walking shoes!
The other best way to get around is a short Uber ride. This way you don't have to worry about parking.
Other Things to Note:
There is a $350 fee if you smoke in the house.
There is also an extra cleaning fee for leaving the home in exceptionally bad condition - if this occurs pictures will be provided.
Interaction with Guests:
Available as needed.

The location of the property was ideal. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The coffee bar was a nice addition. The property is best suited for teenagers and above because the stairs for the upstairs bedrooms are a little steep.

We had a lovely stay, the house is plenty big for 6 guests. Definitely felt right at home. The neighborhood is very friendly and we enjoyed going on walks to see the view of the city.
Sarah was always quick to respond to any questions I had! If we come back to PA I’ll definitely be staying here again.

Was excellent for what we were looking for...came in for Pitt game and was an easy LYFT to the stadium, downtown, the museum we visited, and the first night we walked to Monterrey Bay Fish Grotto which was less than a half mile away. Highly recommend!

The home was spotless and recently updated, with a nice kitchen and dining area. The neighborhood is charming, with well maintained homes, and it's only about a 15 minute drive to downtown. Just be prepared--it's very hilly! We would definitely stay here again.

The home was very nice. The listing says that it sleeps 8 but there are only 3 queen beds. I should have noticed that before booking but we had a cancellation in our group so it worked out anyway. Beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space. We didn't cook, but the kitchen is incredibly well-equipped. The upstairs does get warm so be sure to utilize the fans that are available.

We enjoyed our stay at 315 Republic. It's a short walk to a great hiking trail with awesome views of the City. The large table in the dining room was great too.

This renovated house in a great neighborhood in Pittsburgh has great access to the city and the million dollar view (short walk). The house is nicely renovated. We had great family dinners at the beautiful dining table. The kitchen needs additional cookware and dishware. Found it difficult to cook meals with the basic cookware available. Love the gas stove! Manager was very responsive. Overall, this house rental worked out great for us.
