Great location, room could have been cleaner and aired out more.

Quirky, nice location and lovely garden.

Musky smell, not very clean and some areas in the room had cob webs around them.

A beautiful place but the many rules and instructions should have been provided before booking

If you've come from a metro area then the moment you step out of the car you'll notice how cool, fresh and clean the air is immediately. The view of greenery as far as the eye can see is beautiful to the point of awe, and as you walk around the large garden you'll know you're somewhere you can relax. Check in was a breeze, the key box is not hidden away like so many places, you just put the code in and you're in. Inside the rooms you'll find a lot of art and décor that shows someone put effort into making it feel like a home instead of that cold clinical feeling many hotels have. The bathroom is probably the most well stocked bathroom I have every seen in any accommodation, I probably could've forgotten my entire toiletries bag and been completely fine for the weekend. They were also spacious and had amazing rainfall style shower heads which were very relaxing. Similarly, while very limited in appliances, the kitchen is not limited in food that is included. From soups and noodles to fresh fruits and baked goods and even a range of cheeses with biscuits, again we probably could've not brought food with us and have been fine for the weekend if it wasn't for dietary requirements in our group. Our host was also very helpful, we had some changes to our travelling group mid-stay that she was able to accommodate to everyone's delight.

I've played board games with less rules and instructions than this property, and they weren't consolidated into a single packet of information in advance. It felt like every room had a new note somewhere telling you new things you're not allowed to do or must do, and some of them are annoyingly restrictive or inconvenient. For example, as a property that is close to multiple wedding venues, you might expect people would want to get ready for a wedding there, and instead of being told in advance what we can and can't do at the property we arrive to see a sign with a skull and cross bones next to "CANDLES, SPRAY TAN, HAIR DYE". As a guest, I'd much prefer open communication than implied death threats. There is also a sheet in the bedroom to put over the bed first if you wish to sit on it or put your bags down on it, and if you're that precious about the doona covers perhaps don't have them on the beds in the first place. This is the sort of behaviour that made me go away from Airbnb because I'm a paying guest and expect to be treated as one, and instead I feel as though I'm being treated as an inconvenience. The lack of kitchen appliances was advertised but if you're travelling around and wanted to use something you've got with you to cook something that can't be made with a kettle and microwave, you're not allowed to. You can only use the microwave and kettle supplied, nothing else. This greatly limits your food options for cooking. In terms of comfort, everyone who slept in the deluxe family suite was comfortable in their beds, but the bed in the superior queen room is very firm so my partner and I did not sleep well in there. Lighting is also poor, when the blinds are open it was fine but when we closed them for privacy to get ready for our friend's wedding it was very dark in the rooms.

A truly delightful place to stay. Beautifully appointed and welcoming.

There was everything we could wish for to enjoy a simple breakfast before we headed off. Plus snacks to take with us or eat while we were there. A gourmet selection indeed. So many options for beverages and the kitchen was so well set up we could have stayed on for weeks! The host thought of everything, from umbrellas to lemon curd to a 72 piece Derwent pencils and adult colouring book.

The weather was so cold the weekend we were there, it would have been nice to leave the heating on while we went out for dinner but we do appreciate the occ health and safety rules. No other issues at all

A peaceful stay in the beautiful Dandenongs

The cottage was really nice in a lovely location in the hills. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There were lots of nice touches like free snacks and stuff to make breakfast.

You couldn’t wear shoes inside the property and I didn’t bring slippers.

BRAESIDE BLISS WAS BLISS ❤️

Braeside Bliss was a lovely place to stay. Jenny greeted us at the car and helped us with our luggage and went through everything in the Family Unit.. Everything you needed Jenny supplied. Bread for toast, biscuits, lollies, noodles etc. Games. All bathroom needs as well. Perfect place to stay with amazing comfy beds and heaters that were fantastic in the chilly weather..Really nice furnishings and very homely.. Would recommend to stay and we will return again for another stay.

The only thing I found with a family unit accommodating 6 people was that there wasn't any lounge area to sit together to watch TV or a Couch to sit on.. There were TV's in 2 rooms which was good but only had a DIning chair or the bed to sit on which we found difficult being older people. But otherwise everything else was just PERFECT... The weather was wet so we didn't get to see any of the gardens which was a pity... The Entry to the Superior Family Unit is at the opposite end of the building and doesn't have cover from rain and is abit a distance from the carport where we parked so we got abit drenched when we were leaving carrying luggage to back to the car... I will be returning to enjoy the area and.stay at.Braeside Bliss again.. Thanks Jenny for such a pretty place to stay ❤️

Wrong choice in Sherbrooke.

Very little- in fact a disappointment. Photos of property were misleading.

There were 4 grown adult women - no lounge area for us to relax - had to resort to a kitchen table for hours and chairs were not comfortable. No cooking facilities- we needed to cook something for dinner and no oven or saucepan/frypan to use!!

Disappointing

Good location for nearby wedding

Owner lives on-site. We had more people stay then expected, contacted the owner to inform of this once we knew. The owner was obviously staying at the property as came up to our unit in the morning to charge us extra, however charged more than $63 per extra person, and knew our sleeping arrangements, which felt like an invasion of privacy. Did not allow us to pay through booking.com requested payment through her personal bank. Continued to hound us on having more than 2 people stay even after we had paid for the extra’s. Cups were dirty, and biscuits supplied were stale.

The Daphne suite.

The furniture and decorative features were great and gave the room an Indonesian feel. The gardens and garden features were a highlight. We spent our wedding night here and we were surprised to find a wonderful card and gifts to congratulate us. A very thoughtful and touching gesture. We loved the complete package. Fairly priced but didn't realise the goodies in the kitchen and fridge were part of the price!! Thanks Jen, we'll be back there again in the near future.
