About this house rental

Luxury apartment above a former law office.
Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Natchez.
Off street parking, huge landscaped courtyard.
Front and rear balconies
Building is an 1870’s commercial building.
Fully equipped kitchen.
Formal dining room
Living room with balcony over Franklin Street.
Beautifully furnished, with premium towels and bedding.
2 full en-suite bathrooms with tubs with showers.

About 2,000 sqft.

Check in, if before 5 p.m. (Mon-Sat), is next door at my Antique Shop - Lower Lodge Antiques 712 Franklin Street.
Our guests have access to a private “members only” pool in downtown Natchez. Pool open Labor Day to Memorial Day. Pool about 7 blocks from apartment - short drive or an easy walk.

After 5 p.m. and on Sundays we normally use a lock box for check ins. While we do not charge a separate cleaning fee with booking, for long-term stays maid service can be arranged on request (additional fees may apply).

The apartment was a beautiful place to spend our visit to Natchez. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved being able to wind down the day in the rocking chairs on the balcony. The hosts were very friendly and attentive to our needs. It was a wonderful visit. Thank you.

Loved the space, water, snacks, and wine! We did not need anything. Everything was there that was needed including coffee, soap, toothpaste and nice towels. It was nice to see all the decor in the home. The balconies and rocking chairs were fabulous! Great location with parking close to everything.

The property was perfect for what we needed. First time visit to Natchez so close to all the sights we were going to see. Several great restaurants within walking distance. Richard was a great host. Responded very quickly to any question. The place was very clean and well stocked with lots of extras. The a/c worked great. The only disadvantage was the stairs for 3 older women carrying luggage but we managed. Would stay there again.

This was a 3 night girl’s trip to Natchez for the first time to visit the city’s Christmas pilgrimage tour of antebellum homes. We stayed in the “Above the Law” unit. Below is my take on the pros/con of the rental. Pros First of all the unit is immaculate. I’ve never stay in a rental that is as clean as Richard’s place. Richard goes the extra mile and also provides his guest with a bottle of wine, coffee, tea and snacks. Bed linens and towels in the unit are luxurious. Richard only has top of the line kitchen appliances with a fully stocked kitchen (although we did not cook) it would be anyone’s dream kitchen. Richard’s place is like living in a walking museum of history from the 1700s-2000s. Beautiful antiques with comfortable beds in both bedrooms. The location is walkable to downtown shops. Richard lives next door so he is available to address any questions for the area. Cons “Above the Law” is an upstairs unit so you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs. I only list this as a con should someone have mobility issues.The second issue although this cannot be controlled by the owner there is a recently opened nightclub across the street that appeared to be a little sketchy and being 2 older ladies we did not feel comfortable arriving in the parking lot after dark. With that being said parking is reserved for guest outside a brick courtyard with a locked gate you enter to gain access to the unit. Weekend traffic can be a somewhat noisy for light sleepers.

It was our annual trip to Natchez to see the Angels on The Bluff. There were four of us that stayed Above the Law and we simply LOVED it! It is so centrally located that we didn't need to drive to too many places. We walked everywhere! The accommodations were spic and span clean and the beds were SO comfy! Shower pressure was strong as well. No need to take sheets and comforters as these were perfect. Most of all the host is such a lovely person to visit with! We will certainly be staying here again. Loved it!

Great artwork and so many interesting details. Loved the balcony and courtyard. Wished we had of had more time to linger. I have never stayed any other place with a better equipped kitchen! Our stay at Above The Law was excellent. The host was very accommodating and informative. The location is great. We were in walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. The apartment was well stocked and ready for our visit. The evening sunset backdrop on the city was beautiful from the front balcony.

Our stay was excellent. The furnishings alone made this place spectacular. The antiques make you feel like you are staying in an historic home, but with plenty of the comforts of home to make it warm and welcoming. Great property for our group. We rented all three properties and it was exactly what we needed for our family get-together All of the units were outfitted with everything someone would need. They had fully outfitted kitchens, great outdoor spaces. It was like staying in a small museum. Owner and staff were very friendly and attentive.
