Our stay was wonderful. The views were amazing, the room was huge and yet very cozy, the bathtub was incredible and the bed was the cherry on top! We slept very well on the awesome mattress inside a four poster bed that was beautiful. The only thing I could have wished for was “a dumb waiter,” to carry my luggage to the 3rd floor. Don’t over pack! But, the jet bath tub definitely made up for any discomfort getting to my room.

We enjoyed it. Place was beautiful. Had a restaurant, the Castle, we eat there for breakfast. The food was good. Went for the Natchez Balloon Festival.

Great stay and LD made our arrival absolutely perfect!!

The property was one of the best in Natchez. At one time. The main house was amazing, unfortunately we got a basement unit next to the main house when maybe they openly had five or six units rented on total property. Was safe and a nice place to visit.

A gorgeous and well maintained property. Close to everything

The property is beautiful and it was a quaint experience to stay several nights in an antebellum mansion with period decor. However, the only interaction we had was the person behind the counter who checked us in. There was to-go food containers and trash bags in the upstairs hallway. By our second day, it smelled. The trash was left over from a wedding the WEEKEND before (7 days before our checkin)! Our room was not serviced with towels while we were there. There wasn’t water available, except from the tap. No breakfast options, except the restaurant on site. When we checked out, the poor guy didn’t even ask how the stay had been….. Dunleith could add a few little things to make this a sold out destination. 😔

Beautiful historic property with cost equitable to local hotel rooms. Very poor lighting in parking area at night, no visible staff on property except check in area, no replenishment of towels/room cleaning for entire 3-day stay, property open-absolutely not secure as mansion door unlocked at all times, and 2nd floor common space extremely dirty/messy from a wedding held one week prior to our arrival!

I had a reservation through expedia and when we got there the hotel didn't have our reservation. I don't know if it was the hotel or Expedia. But neither of the two fixed my problem. I was 3 hrs away from home and after 2 hrs of dealing with them, I ended up driving back home at midnight because Natchez did not have an available room anywhere at midnight.
The place looked nice on the outside and the restaurant seemed busy at 9pm.
The manager on call did not bothered to speak with me. He let the front desk clerk deal with me and told him to tell me that I need to contact the third party and deal with them. Which was Expedia, and so my odyssey went on. Neither Expedia or the hotel manager solved my problem. They ruined my anniversary night. I've used Expedia many times. But I'm not sure if I'll be using them long after this.

Lovely historic house. Friendly, helpful staff.

This reservation was a bday gift from my husband and me to his cousin. The first issue came when she arrived for check in and the two bedroom loft we reserved was not available and they tried putting them (cousin and friend) in a single room with one bed. They ended up with a two room connected space which in the end worked out but it was a hassle to get checked in. My other issue is that Expedia advertises Dunleith as a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was NOT included. The whole check-in debacle and the mixup with the no breakfast at a “bed and breakfast” was a bit disappointing, but I think she enjoyed the trip overall.

Dunleith is a beautiful property, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My stay at Dunleith was incredible. The grounds were beautiful and the room was immaculate with all the little extras like coffee, luxurious towels, a jetted tub, and super cool air conditioning. The complimentary breakfast was worth the price of the room! The staff made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I will definitely stay again.

Wonderful historic site. Our room was fantastic and the property is stunning.

I so wanted to love this place. The pictures on their website were so beautiful. It wasn’t at all what I expected. The room was very dark and pretty much outdated. I get it’s an old place but so many things could be better. The shower was a nightmare. The faucet handles were loose. The parking was terrible, had to walk in mud. Breakfast was provided but very limited and food was cold. Really disappointed. Too many other B & B’s to stay. Will not stay here again. Sorry!

Interesting staying in such a vintage property. We were on the third floor so quite a little hike from parking to the room. But it was still pretty neat. Restaurant and pub was closed as we were there on July 4th. Didn’t know until we arrived. Overall still a decent place. The gentleman the the check in counter was very cordial and informative.

During our stay the pool was not maintained and there were no pool towels

The home is stunning… from a distance, but the maintenance of the grounds was disappointing. The water in the fountain was green… the grass was too high… the attention to detail you’d expect simply wasn’t there. I can empathize… help has been hard to find & competition in the market likely fierce.
The Castle Restaurant on site is outstanding as was the Pub below.

We had a wonderful stay at the Dunleith Inn. The house and grounds are spectacular, as are the staff. Special thanks to LD at reception, Todd at the pub, and Brittany at breakfast. Whenever we're in Natchez, or even somewhat close, we always steer towards Dunleith. And, the food at the Castle (located on the grounds a few steps from our lodging), is spectacular -- along with the spirits and atmosphere. Thanks to everyone for another wonderful stay.

Dunleith is a beautiful setting. The pub and restaurant mean you can eat on site and you can swim too. We chose a low level room. It was nicely appointed. We sat outside on the chairs and enjoyed the afternoon. However, you could hear the people next door and above clearly, there were a lack of PowerPoints that worked, light bulbs were blown and the shower curtain was very mouldy. It was a bit grimy. We felt the room itself needed someone to inspect it. The website also states bathrobes… we asked where they were. The answer oh! We don’t do them anymore and haven’t since Covid. We’ll update your website. Food was nice. Beer… need a menu in the pub

Rude staff when checking in. Didn’t get the room we paid for. Bed & breakfast-breakfast was Jimmy Dean Sausage/cheese biscuit or ham & egg biscuit you cooked yourself in microwave. Housekeeping failed to anything to service our room. Very pretty property but we won’t stay there again or recommend it to anyone. Big disappointment for what you paid for. Do research before booking. I recommend small privately owned homes for true B&B experience.

understaffed. dated.

Beautiful surroundings. Room was only adequate. Room was in adjoining building, not in main house. House tours were not included in room rate.
Breakfast was a disappointment, very little selection.
Shower curtain was dirty and there were loose and broken tiles at bath tub.
For the cost of accomodation this was not what we expected.
I would not recommend this facility.

When we checked in, we were not given the room we booked through Expedia. We had booked a queen room in the main house, but were given a loft room in the back of the house. The desk staff said there was nothing that could be done because we booked through Expedia. Totally disappointed because we went way out of our way to travel and experience the antebellum mansion. We left the next day early and the breakfast did not start until 8 pm so we did not even get to partake in that. So disappointing. We could have done a tour and stayed in a Hampton Inn. Really disappointed in the lack of response from the hotel.
Grounds are beautiful and restraurant was great for dinner.

Loved our little getaway of sorts - will be back soon

A lovely place to stay in Natchez - especially with the Castle bar and restaurant. An easy walk in to town and all Natchez has to offer. The breakfast was very limited, we actually walked back out and went to town instead. We also had room 103 - if you get it, decline the room. It has no natural light or view.

Loved the grounds and the pub bar and restaurant.
Didn’t like the slow response when our toilet broke and no one came to fix it, so finally we had to ask for a plunger and fix it ourselves. Then the beautiful claw foot tub I was so looking forward to taking a bubble bath in only worked on hot water and it was scalding hot. The other complaint is no housekeeping service while we were out all day.

The Dunleith Inn was very familiar to me as I grew up coming to my Grandmothers house just down the street every summer.
It is furnished with high quality finishes but needs more light in the rooms and more staff direction for the property at check-in re: access to all areas and any events scheduled during the stay.

Very nice old estate; unique rooms, lovely grounds.

We made our reservations through Expedia for this property to experience the Natchez pilgrimage. It was a mistake. Check in was at 3 on March 17th, the room was not ready and by 6:00 with our second visit to the front desk they Sent a maid to finish the room and the maid was not happy about her work. There were no face towels in the room but the room was acceptable. The grounds were a total wreak, there had been wedding the day before. There was trash everywhere, beer bottles, liquor bottles, and all kinds of trash. Minimal effort was given to the cleanup but much of it was still there when we checked out on the 19th. The breakfast that was advertised was awful. It was basically packaged waffles and sausage biscuits in a package for the microwave. On top of that the coffee machine was broken in the breakfast area. This morning we went down at 8:30 am and there was no one at the front desk to handle checkout. It took 30 minutes to find someone. Overall I believe we would have had better service at a motel 6. Understaffed, bad attitude, worse service!!! Not worth the price we paid to stay…

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend getaway at Dunleith Historic Inn. The staff is friendly and will work to meet your every ask. Don’t miss the onsite restaurant, Castle, great food, great atmosphere. Dunleith is a great launching point for exploring, touring and learning about Natchez.

My stay was very bad. Check in: They made a 72 year old woman carry 6 bags up an uncovered stair in the pouring rain to Third floor room. The room had not been serviced so they told me to carry it all back down to my car, move to another building and up another set of stairs. Rain still pouring. New room smelled of pesticide refrigerator didn’t work no ice no bottled water. I was alone in this remote building. Toilet ran all night. The bed was comfortable to be fair. Only bright spot was the man at the bar who gave me two glasses of water and a baggie of ice to carry back so that I could brush my teeth. My son’s wedding was at Dunleith 20 years ago. It is very sad to see how it has deteriorated.

Amazing plantation home.

Nice and quiet hotel with history. Had a room over two floors, two bedrooms with two bathrooms. Our daughter loved the second floor. First floor was a little bit cold. The breakfast that was included was very simple. But absolutely a place we can come back to

Room didn’t work. Light bulb in room
