The house was everything we could have imagined. Great location for activities in the Greater Saranac Lake region. The manager, property, and all amenities were perfect. Secluded location on a lake was an excellent get-away!!

Our family of 15 (ages 5-71) had a FANTASTIC time at Longbow Lodge. The lodge is Gorgeous and as others have said the pictures don't do justice to the reality of the place. It was very cozy (especially with the lovely Christmas decorations) yet spacious enough that there was plenty of room for privacy.
We enjoyed playing games and doing jigsaw puzzles by the fireplace along with making use of the pool table, ping pong table and dart game. The kitchen had everything we needed and more.
The lodge is close to Whiteface Mt. Several family members enjoyed skiing for two days. Lake Placid Village is even closer. We enjoyed spending the day there checking out the Olympic Museum, the shops and restaurants. We also went to the Olympic Jumping Comples and took the Skyride Gondala. We were lucky enough to see some ski jumpers practicing.
Jim, the manager, could not have been nicer.
He was very accomodating and got back to us in a timely manner with answers to any questions we had.
Overall we had a very memorable vacation.
We would definitely recommend Longbow Lodge to everyone. And we would love to return someday, maybe visit in the summertime.

We could not have appreciated more James and the house team's work, support and help in a lovely, well-maintained and spotless place in a beautiful, quiet corner of the Adirondacks. We were particularly appreciative of our ability to bring our dogs.

The house was beautiful, right on the lake. The landlord, Jim was very responsive and it was very easy to get questions answered.

This house is every bit as perfect as the pictures show, and then some. The features and amenities are top-notch. The location and the serenity of the property are unparalleled; it really made for a special family reunion. The host was responsive and personable, provided helpful tips for local attractions and restaurants, and was genuinely committed to my family having an unforgettable experience.

This property is one-of-a kind. Location, amenities, aesthetics, are all over-the-top. Even in the deep of winter it's head and shoulders above anywhere we've ever stayed. Kudos to Jim for being an excellent manager of the property.

We stayed here with three families, each with two teenage young adults. We came to enjoy post-Christmas getaway and hoped for a winter wonderland. This fit the bill perfectly.
The location is private and surrounded by the beauty one hopes to experience when planning a trip to the Adirondacks. It is also close to Whiteface (we spent a day skiing), Lake Placid (we spent a day shopping, ice skating and touring the Olympic facility) and plenty of outdoor adventures in Saranac Lake or The Adirondacks.
Jim was always immediately responsive, easy to communicate with and oriented us to the magnificent property efficiently and graciously.
The home/lodge is just perfect. Clean, orderly, magnificent. Kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms are cozy and the we enjoyed relaxing evenings every night by the grand fireplace with plenty of wood to burn for hours and hours.
Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Our group of 10 adults, 4 teens, one infant and one dog was nicely accommodated. Jim, the property manager, greeted us on arrival, showed us around, and answered all questions. The setting on Kiwassa Lake was lovely. The house was well equipped. We enjoyed the privacy of the property along with proximity to town. Overall, a top notch experience for all.

Family Memorial Day weekend trip
We rented Longbow for a holiday family vacation. Our ages ranged from 15-80 years old and the property pleased them all! Check in was easy. Jim was a great help with anything we needed. The house was amazing, clean and really well stocked with all the little things you may have forgotten in the kitchen. We enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, fishing, kayaking and the rental of the pontoon boat. Early morning coffee listening to the loons on the lake was magical. Although our party did fine I would mention the stairs and grade of the hill down to the water could be a challenge for those older or physically challenged. I would highly recommend this property for a stay.

Fantastic getaway with our family for a 4 day weekend
Plenty of space for all of us, and great activities (pool table ping pong, poker, hikes outside, etc) to keep us active. House is spectacular in its upkeep, and the views are second to none. We'll be back!

Longbow Lodge - A winter wonderland retreat
Our group of all adults had a great time staying here. First time for everyone and it went smoothly. Check in is basically an intro tour with Jim, the property manager, who was thorough and professional. Well appointed property, very clean, the dual kitchens came on handy, lots of space for everyone being in the same house but having enough private space as well. You absolutely positively will need AWD/4WD vehicles to access the property, even after the road is plowed, which they do a nice job of for the small road community it sits on. Location is prime, excellent views of the lake, island, and mountain in the distance.
Fireplaces are nice and easy, with plenty of firewood stocked. Roundabout and small parking zone fit our 7 cars with ease, and room to spare. Security Deposit for any damage/dogs process was easy, and returned within a week. Zero complaints.

Wonderful stay for our family holiday gathering!
We were a group of 19 extended family members ranging in ages 7 through 84 and this house couldn’t be more perfect. Gorgeous warm, cozy home with beautiful views, plenty for kids to do, and tons of space for everyone. Easy to get into both Saranac Lake and Lake Placid for activities. Jimmy was a top notch host and responded quickly and professionally to our needs. I have no hesitation recommending this home and, in fact, we are already planning a secind future stay!

Absolutely beautiful house!
The house was exactly as pictured. But pictures really can’t to justice to the size and beautiful views of this house. We mainly used this house as our hub for skiing whiteface. Witch was about a 30 min drive. James the property manager was excellent. He met us upon arrival and went through all the ins and outs of the house. He was extremely responsive to all our texts during our stay. One of the members of my party had gotten his truck stuck in a snow bank and James had a tow truck out to us in 15 minutes. Would highly recommended this house to anyone. You definitely will not be disappointed.

Absolutely magical!!!! Best family trip ever!
I had the most amazing stay with my family at the Longbow Lodge this winter. The property itself is absolutely stunning (not to mention comfy and cozy) and the view is to die for. Jim was the best host, so friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful with giving us recommendations for things to do and places to see while we were there. This was hands down, the best family vacation we have ever been on and we cannot wait to come back to this dreamy place!!!!!

Fabulous stay.
Longbow is a beautiful property located on Kiwassa Lake, a small quite lake in the Saranac chain. The house itself is gorgeous. Plenty of room and gathering spaces for the family. Jim the property manager was terrific. Can't wait to go back.

Adirondack vacation
The property is great for an extended family. Our stay included our 3 adult children, their spouses and 6 grandchildren from 1 to 10. We were on or in the water for our entire stay. Kids caught fish off the dock. Only left for hiking. Enjoyed bonfires at night. Jimmy assisted in every way possible from booking to showing us around upon arrival.

Best property we have rented
I have rented properties in Ireland, Italy, and thought the US - this was hands down the best place we have rented. The only thing that was better than the house itself was the location. It felt like our own private lake at times. The house was immaculate when we arrived - plenty of room for our family and friends - and the property manager (Jimmy) was incredibly responsive and so easy to deal with. We had a blast water skiing, fishing, paddle boarding, swimming, driving the pontoon boat from Lake Kiwassa to Lake Flower for ice cream…and of course hanging out around the nightly bonfire. If you are looking for a memorable Adirondack get away, I highly recommend this property.

Incredible beauty and comfort
We have stayed at many vacation rentals over the years and this was easily the best ever. The location on the lake was exquisite - I spent every moment I could on the porch looking at the lake. Even when it rained the overhang was large enough that we could sit under it and watch the mist on the lake.
The house is convenient to Saranac, but the turn onto the road is hard to find, and a bit scary if traffic is heavy.
The house was huge and bedrooms comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked (only missing manual can opener, and the electric one didn't work) but did have coffee grinder! I would encourage them to pick up a few more dish towels and hot pads though. With two ovens, two fridges and three dishwashers it was very easy to stay on top of feeding our large group.
Amenities were very nice and the jetted tub and jetted shower in the master bath were incredible.
The ambiance, furniture and just general layout were really comfortable . Only complaint was lighting in main room could have been better especially at night. Lots of lights but they mostly aim upwards - ended up doing our crossword puzzle by flashlight!
Jim the property manager could not have been more helpful. He is easy to communicate with and always responded promptly to any questions or concerns, and was totally a pleasure to do business with.
My only real suggestions for improvement would be to add an eating table to the main floor deck and it was a bit of a pain carrying food downstairs when we wanted to eat outside, and to add a mini freezer on the main floor. The only freezer is in the basement level fridge, again a minor inconvenience needing to go up and down to fetch ice cream etc.
We are hoping to come back next year and stay longer. It is a truly magical place..

Our impression of Longbow Lodge was unparalleled by any other property we have stayed at in New York State. The size and scale of the Lodge, surrounding forest and waterfront was a surreal experience. Our group of 12 had all the amenities we could ask for and more, not to mention the outstanding weather for mid May. You truly need nothing beyond your food and beverage. Jim was the most accommodating manager and communicated clearly and timely. The only surprises were the inaccurate bed count; the listing details 12 beds in 5 bedrooms, and we counted on each of our 12 adult guest having their own bed. However, bdrm 4 was lacking the bunkbeds and only had the two twin beds listed. One guest had to share a king bed and the 2nd had to set up an air mattress. Not the biggest inconvenience, but unexpected. Further, the lack of ventilation particularly in the upstairs and lofts made for a very uncomfortable sleep for many. Window dressings could be improved, and the sky lights in the ceilings light up the bedrooms as soon as the sun comes up. The upstairs bedrooms rooms are in desperate need of airflow, and some floor or ceiling fans would easily remedy this. Finally, we encourage all guests to be keenly aware of the community's noise curfew of 10pm even on weekends. The area is very quiet at night, and sound travels effortlessly all over the lake. Sit quietly for a few minutes and one can easily hear the wildlife from one end of the lake to the other (the loons calling to one another was beautiful). Thus, monitoring the volume of music and even the lightest conversation and laughter to a minimum while outdoors and around the fire with 12 guests was, at times, near impossible to say the least. All in all, this was a WONDERFUL experience and we are very thankful to have made so many memories.

“No place better” is a fitting title for this lodge. Seclusion, sunsets, and comfort abound on a slice of the Kiwassa lake shore. Manager Jim is a consummate host and was prompt with anything we needed. Highly recommend for family or friend groups.
