Wonderful Stay, Amazing House
My family enjoyed our stay at Dreamcatcher! It was a beautiful home with plenty of space for our large 7 adults, and 3 children group. The house is well appointed with everything we needed, plus some! Tortuga Properties was a joy to work with, Duncan and Laurie were always available and quick to answer questions. Arrival and Departure were seamless thanks to Tortuga and their team of people. We can not say enough good things about staying on North Captiva; beaches, sunsets, NCIC pools, Kayaking, wildlife, it was all absolutely wonderful!! We will be returning again!

Magical Family Vacation!
We had the most wonderful 5 days on North Captiva. It was our first time on the island, and we can’t wait to come back! Dreamcatcher was a perfect home base for our group of 6, and could have accommodated another family as well! Our favorite feature was the little pool and patio - perfect for relaxing and grilling after a day at the beach. Dreamcatcher is beautiful and well-maintained - what a lovely home. Tortuga, the property management group was so helpful and easy to work with. All around 5 stars!

Great stay!
We had a great stay at Dreamcatcher! The
house was spotless when we arrived and there was plenty of room for everyone. The only 2 comments I have of what could have gone better was that some items did not work as well as expected like the golf cart, and refrigerator and that initially we saw some bugs. Duncan was very responsive and helpful to us and we really appreciated him! We would definitely stay here again. We loved it!!!

Ultimate Relaxation
We absolutely loved our stay at Dreamcatcher and at N Captiva Island. The house was extremely comfortable and clean and well stocked. We didn't lack for anything, and Tortuga was extremely helpful and responsive. They made it very easy to get from the ferry to the house on check-in day and then back to the ferry on the morning we left. The home is a short walk or very short golf cart ride to the beach, and we had all the chairs and towels we needed. First time to N Captiva, and we'd definitely love to return and would definitely stay in this great home again!

Great stay, the single beds are for children not adults
Great place, so close to the beach, There were only two good beds for adults, each king size so they will sleep two. But the singles and bunks are for kids and the one double bed off the kitchen is a fold out, hard for more than one person to sleep comfortably there.

Dreamcatcher truly lived up to its name
We had 6 grown adults and 2 children under 5. The home was perfect for us. Lots of games in the games closet, lots of games by the pool downstairs. The Tortuga Property Manager, Duncan, was great! Always available to assist! A very short walk to the best beach on the island or a short walk into the Nature Preserve. We had a great time!

This property cannot be accessed by car and there are terrible ferry costs and surcharges if you can’t fit within their “hours”. Beyond that they hosts offer to get you groceries for a 40% charge of the cost of the bill. Everything is an up charge and is extremely Inconvenient to get to.
If you are okay with that then disregard but make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into.

North Captiva getaway
This trip allowed for two families to come together under one roof for a week to enjoy some peace and quiet and the company of each other. Our experience on the island was overall a good one - beautiful beaches, shelling was so much fun, seeing dolphins and gorgeous sunrise and sunsets, and not dealing with crowds were all a plus. Our property managers, Ally and Sean were super responsive to addressing the issues we did encounter - golf cart broke down on day 1, internet/wifi was down the entire trip, one of the bathrooms became infested with gnats, and the mosquitos on the island in general were serious (wish we would have been warned). Again, Sean and Ally were on top of all the issues and helped to resolve most of them and those they didn't was not for lack of trying! The house balconies and pool outdoor area is not screened in so we barely could enjoy the time outside in the evening without bathing in insect repellant. The island had a lot of debris and flooded roads which we learned to navigate and it wasn't until the latter part of the trip that the roads were filled in. The house was in a good location, close to the beach, spacious and generally clean but definitely requires some TLC and updating.

Saving our vacation
Let me start out by telling a story about renting a vacation house on Anna Marie Island. We arrived on a Saturday about 5 o'clock and it was an absolute nightmare from that point on. Out of desperation I told my family that I had located a house for rent on North Captiva Island it was a brand new listing and we didn't even know thing about Captiva Island. I read some reviews about the Captiva and decide right then to book the property. Right after I booked the home I contacted the owner Karla Gust and explained to her my desperation to save my family's vacation. Karla was boarding a plane with her two small children heading to Florida to stay at her vacation rental. Karla could have told me to pound sand, it's her home but instead she cancelled her trip told me not to worry and graciously let me and my family check in hours before the 4 o'clock check in time (Karla you are a phenomenal person!).
We arrived on the island at 0900 and were greeted by Sean from Karla's management company. We were given a tour of the island and taken to the house. The house is amazing the beach and the island are by far the best. I have been to in Florida teeming with dolphins, manatees and turtles! The water is crystal clear. This saved our vacation and my family wants to book the house again next year. Karla and her amazing house deserve 10 🌟.
Thanks again Karla you rock!!!!

June Stay
The property and entire process was great. The owner and hosts had great communication from booking to check out. The house was well stocked with everything needed from kitchen supplies to games to play. Great having the pool area to cook dinner while my daughters were playing. We would definitely book here again.
