About this apartment rental
Performing a duet with neighbouring Ca’ Dell’ Opera Terrace, come join us as we sing the praises of new Opera Divina a diva-licious deluxe property in laid-back Dorsoduro, freshly restored in collaboration with design partners, Archflorence
We’ve pulled out all the stops in transforming this long-forgotten property into a perfectly composed tribute to Italian craftsmanship and flair… a symphony of opulent finishes and fabrics and bespoke furniture tailored with precision and care.
Charmingly located in sleepy Campo degli Incurabili, near the Peggy Guggenheim, the Accademia Galleries, and the Zattere’s spectacular canal views, L'Opera Divina sleeps 8(+2) guests in 4(+1) bedrooms arranged over 3 floors and accessed by stairs*.
Taking design cues from its incredibly popular sister apartment and hosting up to 19 guests when taken together, the apartment showcases custom bathrooms and cool terrazzo flooring and is air-conditioned** throughout for your comfort in warm weather.
Themed in such a way as to ‘bring the outside in’ through botanical prints, well positioned lighting, and a range of colours that sing, the extensive accommodation offers Wi-Fi and comprises:
• Your own private doorway on the campo leading into the:
Ground Floor
• An entrance hallway with mirrored closets, one cleverly concealing a Miele combined washing machine/dryer which comes in useful during extended stays
Doorway into:
• A peaceful double bedroom to the rear of the property with a mirrored wardrobe, a double bed dressed in shades of pepperoncini and mushroom (which can be split into twins upon request), and a stylish en suite bathroom with bathtub and shower over
Staircase* from the hallway leading up to the:
1st Floor
• A fabulous beamed main sitting room in a harmonious mix of neutrals, limes and sunset orange with French windows opening onto a small Juliet balcony, a large L-shaped sofa for relaxing, custom-designed carpeting and walls of palazzo-style window-panelled mirrors framed and enhanced by the most extraordinary golden shell-shaped silk lamps which serve to maximise the light and sense of space within the room
• A super-attractive small sitting room/TV room with botanical prints, a double sofa-bed for 2, shelving and mirrored wardrobe and French windows opening onto a small Juliet balcony
• A contemporary kitchen/dining room in salicornia green comprehensively kitted out with integrated Bosch and Miele appliances (including a wine fridge!), a dining suite seating 8 with banquette seating and ‘ghost’ chairs and French windows opening onto a bijou Juliet balcony looking onto the quiet comings and goings along the Rio Terà San Vio
• A luxurious and restful principal bedroom overlooking a neighbouring private palm-filled garden to the rear and handsomely attired in gentle greens and olive grey with a writing desk, a mirrored wardrobe and a double bed (dressed in Casamance’s ‘Paradisiaca’ fabric and which can be split into twins upon request) plus a splendidly tiled en suite bathroom with bathtub and separate shower
• A pristine bathroom with large shower to the left of the 1st floor landing that serves the main sitting room, small sitting room/TV room and kitchen
Staircase* (shorter than the first) rising up to the 2nd floor and offering a glimpse St. Mark’s Bell Tower and the Salute from the top
2nd Floor
• The cutest ‘small double’ bedroom with wooden beams, a pair of slim wardrobes and a French-size bed sleeping 2 upholstered in Anna French’s ‘Palampore’ fabric – cosy in ambience, decorated with a pair of ‘oeil de sorcière’ convex mirrors and with a separate private bathroom with large shower just a few steps away
• The final and totally gorgeous double bedroom in shades of violetta di Chioggia (local artichoke) and mushroom with a double bed (which can be split into twins upon request), a wardrobe and a sparkling en suite bathroom with bathtub and separate shower
* Please note that the staircases are quite steep and, due to the age of the building, some of the carpeted stone treads are uneven. There is no lift
Important: please note that the apartment only accepts fully supervised children over 6 years of age or under 1 year (non-walking babies) because of the internal stairs
OUR COMMENT
A superb transformation in delightful surroundings and fully deserving of a standing ovation!
A short stroll to the Church of the Salute, the Palazzo Cini Gallery and to the Punta Della Dogana Center of Contemporary Art at Dorsoduro’s eastern tip, and close to a great choice of eating places and bars including Agli Alboretti, Lineadombra and Ristorante Riviera for fine dining, and Osteria Al Squero, Corner Pub and Cantinone Gia Schiavi for spritz and cicheti.
An easy walk to 4 vaporetto (water bus) stops – Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute and Accademia for travel around the city (note that St. Mark’s Square can be reached by vaporetto from Salute in under 5 minutes on Line 1!), to 2 Conad supermarkets – one just behind the Zattere Spirito Santo vaporetto stop and the other at the western end of the Zattere – and to the traghetto at Calle Lanza / Calle del Traghetto San Gregorio which, during operating hours, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the traghetto stop beside the Gritti Palace in the district of San Marco.
Also within easy reach of the Alilaguna boat stop connecting the Zattere to Venice's Marco Polo Airport.
**Please note that the operation of air-conditioning and heating are subject to municipality regulation. In general, heating is available from mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning is available from mid-April to mid-October. Please contact us for further information.

We were a family of ten and utilized all 5 bedrooms which are spread over three floors. The property was in a great location for us close to the Academia bridge and two grocery stores within walking distance. The property is finished to a really high standard and they were very helpful from parking to dinner reservations and everything in between. We'd definitely stay and recommend to our friends.

Marta, Annalisa and company at Views on Venice were wonderfully responsive to any questions we had, arranged water taxis for the arrival of 10 via train and separate departures to the airport. Veritably looked after us. The neighborhood is special; not filled with tourists, near art centers, vaporetto stops. Easy walk to St. Marks across the canal. We and our two children's families had our own floors, comfortable, roomy and clean. Only issue for some might be 30 or so steps getting from first floor to second. Very special place.

Great place to stay. There are 4 very nice bedrooms. Property person went overboard for us!! Wish I could remember her name

This was my families last spot in italy and we ended on a high note staying here. It was off the beaten path a little but provided a calm away from the storm of St. Marks square. Everything was easy to get to and many nice restaurants near by. The hosts were so helpful and greeted us at the water bus stop and got us to our house.
The house itself was beautiful, clean and so much room for our family to relax in. We will be back on our next visit to Venice!

Wonderful quiet area of Venice but with easy travel to everything you want to see. House has been wonderfully updated.

The apartment was in a great location, clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a stay in Venice. We were met at our drop off location and guided to the apartment and they were even able to book us a return water taxi to the parking garage. All rooms were of five star hotel quality and each member of our party had their own bathroom which is a luxury to have it Italy! We will definitely be staying here again upon our return to Venice. Thank you again!
Maybe offer a luggage handling service for an additional fee. Although the men were fine to carry, some of the women in our party found it hard to carry their luggage through the streets and in the apartment where there are quite a few stairs and no lift.

Our group of 10 stayed for four nights and had plenty of room. The help we had checking in and getting water taxis reserved for us was so helpful. Loved the time in Venice.

We enjoyed our stay at L'Opera Divina. The location was very good; in a quiet area in Dorsoduro but still close to main sites, shops and restaurants. The place was very clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nicely decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped with top of the range appliances. Overall, a great place to stay in Venice for a large group; just be mindful of the stairs.

The place is beautiful renovate, clean and spacious for 10 of us. Everything is good, except for the mosquitoes in Venice. Other than that, we loved the place.

This apt. was perfect for our family. Each one of our 3 daughters had their own bedroom and bathroom.

We loved the location, the beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, and the help provided when arriving and leaving - water taxi information, and someone to meet us at the dock to walk us to the property. This is definitely a great place to stay when in Venice.

Well equipped, great location. Furnished to a high standard. Fabulous bathrooms, great welcome from host. Good for large group( 10) Close to Accademia bridge, well connected to travel all over Venice. We'll be back again for the Bienalle in 2024 hopefully.

Location: awesome- walking distance to everything including water bus
House accommodations: all rooms except one as advertised. It’s an awesome house Cleanliness: Ants, everywhere. Ants ants and more ants. Upon check-in we showed the ants to the checking property manager and she did not even acknowledge them. They were at trumps in the house but this place needs more than Ant traps
Communication: very proud vindication with the property management, I had to contact VRBO directly several times just to get the property management to confirm my reservations and pick up schedule. And we had requested a taxi to pick us up at the end of our trip and we received no confirmation that it would happen.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the week in early August that we spent in this property. It contained everything we needed and we loved the deck directly on the Grand Canal. We ate our breakfasts out on the deck and enjoyed relaxing watching the boats go by after a day of sightseeing. There is also a pretty courtyard off the bedroom. Although we didn’t sit there (both because it was too hot and because who could miss being on the Grand Canal), we used the large rack provided to dry our clothes.
We found the location to be fabulous - away from the huge crowds near San Marco, but close enough to be an easy walk to the sights there. Most nights we ate dinner at the restaurants that are over the water on the Zattare.
This was our fourth time in Venice and we liked this apartment more than any of the hotels in which we’ve stayed, including the Bauer. All in all, this is one wonderful place to stay in Venice.

Excellent place for Venice
An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Very modern with good Air Conditioning. Its near the edge of the island allowing you to take longer walks in the late evening breeze.
The apartment is not in the middle of Venice, but on the South side facing the island of Guidecca. There are three floors with one double bed on the first floor with a bathroom then the middle floor with the kitchen, living room, bedroom with 2 twin beds, master bedroom and a seperate bath with shower for the twin bed room. Last rooms are up on next floor, each with a bathroom.
Easy to reach, just take the water bus to the Zattare stop. We were met by host and taken to apartment. There are two restaurants very close but most of the bars/cafe/restaurants are easy 10-15 minute walks away.
The only problem with the place is the stairs are pretty steep and there is no elevator. If you have someone in your party that has trouble with stairs then I would suggest getting some other place to stay, probably a hotel with an elevator.

So Happy To Have Discovered Views on Venice!
I found Views On Venice through Air BnB, and decided to book with them directly (thus avoiding Air BnB fees and bureaucracy). We wouldn't have been happier with our 5 bedroom apartment in Venice. Like all of their properties, it was beautifully furnished and professionally managed. The appliances, supplies, linens etc were top notch, and their concierge service was flawless. We were able to arrange daily cleaning for our large group. We booked a magical cooking class through them. We stayed in the heart of Dorsoduro which we loved. The apartment more than lived up to our expectations and compared to a luxury hotel (which the apartment was the equivalent of) it was far more economical. We look forward to using them again when in Italy.

Gorgeous apartment in ideal neighborhood
We absolutely loved our short stay in this beautiful apart and wish we could have stayed even longer. You are really in walking distance to all the major attractions, restaurants, shops, a grocery and ferry/gondolas.
The host arranged a water taxi from the airport for us and it was a highlight for our group who had never been to Venice.
Would stay here again in a heart beat.
Best,
Theresa

Lovely visit to Venice!
Finish and layout are amazing. Lighting is wonderful- a lot of choices for how to light each room.
Very quiet, and easy to find once you know where it is located.
Well stocked with glasses, dishes, silverware, and other cooking appliances and utensils.
Comfortable beds and bedding.
Provide:
Extra toilet paper/Kleenex
Towel paper in kitchen
Hand soap for bathroom sinks
Dish Sponge for cleaning dishes
There were mosquitoes on the lowest level which bit two of the teenagers overnight.
These are just Uber picky comments to help make the stay more perfect.
