We are a young family with small children and a dog and this was a lovely place to stay. For anyone with mobile infants, consider bringing a play pen as there were lots of small drawers and cords for babies to get into (not a critique, just a fact) but I liked that the deck had a latchable gate so I didn’t have to worry about the dog running around or the kids escaping.
If we had older kids, the yard would be great. Clearly a well loved home.
Critiques would be that the beds were very uncomfortable for our taste and the number of spider webs outside was amazing.. we didn’t notice, but the highway bridge was loud with car noise although it was just white noise and not bothersome to us.
Thank you for the use of your home and we are leaving renewed.

We had a nice stay. Enjoyed the lake views from the backyard! Could use some updates and maintenance on the deck.

The good things about this property are that it was cheap and it was right on the water with easy swimming access.
The not so good things about this property were:
-Only given 2 kitchen towels for the week.
-Ran out of toilet paper, searched entire house for more, couldn’t find any and had to buy our own.
-Dock was very high which made jumping in impossible for our young kids; also the ladder is all wood and covered in cobwebs - basically unusable.
-Worst was that we saw a mouse in the kitchen and immediately alerted Vacasa, whose rep said sorry for the inconvenience but there was no further communication or response.
Basically, it was fine for a week but we would not stay again or recommend anyone else do so.

Mixed reviews were accurate. Great location on the lake. Able to have our boat at dock. Floated for hours. Brought our kayak too. Perfectly wonderful view and experience. Shower/walls need bleach. Kitchen island needed to be scrubbed well. Many outlets did not work or sparked. No a/c. Needed to be mowed. Deck and dock need serious work. Wear shoes 100% of time and did great. Steap terrain for elderly or disabled. Highlander and 16 foot boat did great in half circle driveway. The view is amazing, the house was clean and linens were fresh. Extra towels and TP supplied. Good hot water for showers. A little bit of everything in kitchen to use. Fridge freezer were good. Bring ice for your beverages. Wifi worked well. Very comfortable beds!! If you have dry camped, this is heaven. Have reasonable expectations and it is perfect! We will be back for sure. As a bonus, bald eagles hung around and were so fun to watch. We brought our own favorite camp chairs for deck. Good couple chairs down by water.

This property is wonderful inside and out. Impressed with the cleanliness.

Great view, would be better if the windows were clear/clean or replaced.
Great to be right at the water, deck and stairs are not safe! Furniture is ancient and very worn, beds were ok. Close enough to town but still far enough away.
Overall not a bad experience.

This is a fabulous location on the lake. Very comfortable with a very well stocked kitchen. Fun board games and puzzles. Easy 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk to Sandpoint. The beach is very nice but does have very small current to the west where the water exits the lake. Bring a kayak or canoe if you have one.

We loved the location and the view. However, this is an old property with many hodgepodge additions and some serious maintenance issues. I’ve read some of the more critical reviews and agree with many of the comments, especially the horrible condition of the deck - it is dangerous. The chairs are wobbly and there is a broken table just sitting there. The deck benches are in such bad shape I wouldn’t even go near them. It is nothing like the picture on the website. We didn’t go down to the dock considering the amount of geese on the lawn and poop. Another big detractor is the loud sound that occurs when flushing toilet; starting the shower or laundry. It is very annoying to hear the sound throughout the house every time someone flushes, especially if you are trying to sleep in the bedroom next to the bathroom. There are several uneven floors and step-ups throughout the house which can be an issue if you have mobility issues or for small kids. The kitchen is ok but again things are just old and worn out. We have stayed in many vacation homes in the area that were great, this was disappointing because with proper maintenance, repairs and fresh items in kitchen this could be lovely property.

The location for this spot is perfect. Just out of town across the long bridge. Great access to the lake and a dock to play on. The house is a classic lake cabin, a little rustic but perfect for north Idaho. During my stay there were pear and apple trees full of fruit.

The location was exactly as advertised, a great value and somewhere I will definitely be returning to.

I have rented many lakefront homes, obviously landlords always paint a rosy picture and leave out important bits. Home is owned by a trust so makes sense no one really seems to have taken "ownership" of upkeep and maintenance.
Pros: On street/parallel parking for boat/trailer, large common room, lakefront/nice views, there's room for more than 3 cars on the primitive gravel driveway, old eclectic home with several homeowner done remodels over the decades, large dining table, board games
Cons: Lakeshore drive is extremely busy, large double pain windows for view are all failed/cloudy, deck is rotted, railing is sketch, stairs are broken, hundreds of screw and nail heads sticking up on deck and dock, rotted broken deck furniture, debris pile under deck, dock is unsafe from a tear your foot open standpoint, not usable for boats. Geese infestation - dock, rocky beach and lawn had hundreds of goose feeces, cleaned up a bucket load. Hose bibb on dock didn't work so couldn't hose off dock. Large sky lights in bedrooms above beds, one bathroom (yes listed, but always the reality), electrical outlet missing cover (zap your kids), continually leaky kitchen faucet. Spiderwebs/bugs at entries, overall lack of someone taking care of a long list of minor maintenance issues.
Summary: not for kids due to high street traffic, exposed electrical, dangerous deck and dock, geese poop. Going in eyes open, you could certainly enjoy a stay here just make sure your expectations are in line.

House was as described. Though old home, it was clean and comfortable. View is gorgeous!
Boat owners be aware......the dock is not an option for tieing up your boat. It is a very high dock. We had to anchor up, but that doesn't work well when it is windy and you have high waves. I wish this would have been more clearly communicated when we were looking for houses.

The deck seems unsafe. Rotting in places and screws were poking out all over. The dock/pier is way too tall off the water for boats and that wasn’t made clear at all. Also could take better care of the grass. The house was cute and quaint though.

Cute place. Lovely view. Very clean. Many auto text prompts from rental. When emailed about dryer malfunction no response. Beds are uncomfortable. Lighting in all bedrooms so bright hard to sleep past 5am.

Had a nice time. Water was low, so fishing was not good.

Ok…this is hard to write as my family has rented various places over the years and we have always left good reviews. I will start with the pros…great water, close to town, interior was spacious. Negatives…there are many sadly. First the cabin: it is old and charming which we liked however it was not clean. Most dishes we pulled out of cabinets were dirty with food stains and glasses had prints on them. We had to wash each item prior to use. Windows were foggy/dirty and many of the blinds were broken. 2 of the 3 fans provided were broken too. There is no a/c so we were relying on the blinds and fans to help cool the place down. All of the deck furniture was broken except for the outdoor dining table and chairs. Both Adirondack chairs had broken boards so you couldn’t use them and the cushion on the chaise was so worn, you sat directly on the wrought iron frame. The bbq had so much grease built up, after it flared up on our first use we quit using it. The futons for sleeping were so worn our kids couldn’t sleep on them. We had to go buy sleeping pads. The beds were decent in the bedrooms thankfully. The supplies: this cabin sleeps up to 8. We had 7 for 9 days and Vacasa only supplied 2.5 rolls of toilet paper for 7 people for 9 days. I called asking and they said they will not supply more. Two extra rolls was their policy. I asked how that works with 7 people for 9 days!!! Same with paper towels and there were no kitchen wash cloths to clean with. There is a dishwasher as advertised but again, Vacasa supplied 5 dishwasher pods and we were there for 9 days. I know we can certainly wash dishes but it was advertised for use but we had to buy our own soap. The dock: it is rotted. It had so many nails popping up, it was unsafe to use. We called Vacasa 3 times prior to check in to ask about the dock tie ups plus height for our boat and they NEVER got back to us. When we arrived with our boat, the dock was unusable. Too high (we asked those specifics) plus there were nails poking out the sides that would have damaged our boat. Thankfully the neighbor saw all of this and graciously let us tie up at their dock. The dock nails won’t even stay in due to the rotted wood. So again, the place advertised a dock for a boat but unusable. We paid $6000 for this place and feel ripped off. It’s sad as the location is nice and the place is charming but so many features we paid for were not as advertised and unusable. I would not stay here again. The owner needs to do some serious repairs so the place is as advertised and justifies the cost. And Vacasa was not easy to work with. Their lack of help and customer service will most likely have us not use them again. Some things we listed we can roll with and handle but since the cost was as high as it was, you would think the place was as the pictures portrayed.

We really enjoyed out stay here. The location is fantastic, however, a heads up from Vacasa about the construction on the bridge would have been helpful. The home and dock could use some maintenance attention.

We were only here for a night but it was cozy and nostalgic. Great view and easy to get in and out of Sandpoint.

The view from this home is as pictured - really beautiful and tranquil. The location is convenient to Sandpoint and many other locations. The home feels like a much-loved family’s older lake retreat. Kitchen had some upgrades and having a meal on the lake-facing porch is a relaxing experience.

Great location. Mother pros out weigh the cons.
Funky little cabin with a lot of space and beautiful views. Plenty of room for friends and family.
The Dock needs some love, it’s old and on the tail end of its run and if you have a boat it’s a very tall dock and it’s hard to get the boat docked.
Water pressure is pretty bad and having one bathroom gets tricky, Overall it was an awesome trip and we’d do it all over again.

The living room, deck and back yard all look out over the lake and the mountains in the background. We saw a bald eagle land in a tree nearby and we really enjoyed the landscaped yard filled with flowering plants and trees.

Location to water couldnt be more perfect! very short distance easy to get down to fire pit and dock which was great for my father in law with limited mobility. Awesome long dock with a bench to sit on, beds are super comfortable! lay out was great, cozy gas fireplace was really nice. Would like to stay here again but for the price, could have had nicer more comfortable deck furniture, luckily we brought our own camp chairs and used them on the deck, definitely need new kitchen pans, they were awful, and grassy area could have been mowed Overall, great stay,

Beautiful view
We were there in the off season so the lake was really low and it rained hard the entire time. The place had everything we needed. It was nice to watch tv when there wasn’t much to do outside. Will e back in the summer when we can get in the lake.

Great view and location
Had a great stay. All the towels and toiletries were fine. Do not plan on making a gourmet meal. The kitchen stuff is not super great. Absolutely great location, and that’s what it’s all about.

Great cabin on the lake!
Great spot on the lake. We enjoyed the fully furnished kitchen and property. Cole, property manager type gent, was so so helpful and refilled the propane tank. We enjoyed staying at the house!

Incredible Place!
This place is really nice, and we all had a great time (even the 4-legged guy)! It's an older home, that appears to have been remodeled several times. The floors are a bit creaky in spots, but it's very comfortable and has character. And the VIEW!! Wow! The back yard is very pretty and it has its own dock. In warm weather this would be a great place for kids. It was a little chilly for us to swim, but we were fortunate to arrive in apple season. The gigantic apple tree out back was full of ripe apples! We picked a few and made fresh apple pie (not kidding- it was delicious)! Thank you so much to the owners for opening this place up and sharing. I really hope we will be back soon!

Wouldn’t recommend
From the listing this place looks great. But when you get there, parking isn’t very great, there is no AC, and the bugs were horrible. They are all over the house, the windows and you couldn’t get get rid of them. It was overall not worth the amount you are spending to stay here. A motel would have been an even better experience.

Lake Getaway
Enjoyed being right on the lake. Calm water and beautiful views. House was very clean upon arrival and well appointed. Not necessarily a place for individuals with mobility issues as entry to the home is on a hill with a grass and stone path. Circular driveway is a combination of dirt and sand with steep entry on either side. These things did not deter us from enjoying our stay!

What a beautiful house, property, dock, location!
The vibe of this p[lace is heavenly. Very much a fancy but rustic lake house with huge decks, rooms, lawn, and right on the lake. Couldn't be better!
