the odor from the rotting seaweed.

The resort was absolutely beautiful, and the food and service were impeccable, especially at the Cielo rooftop. Orlando, Demetrio, Benjamin, and Jesus were great hosts. The master chef, Karla, came to our table on numerous occasions to inquire about the quality of the food (always fantastic) - that was a very personalized approach to the service at this resort. The rooms were spacious and lovely. We’ve been to numerous all-inclusive resorts over the years and Secrets Impression Moxché stood out amongst the rest. Also, appreciate the kindness and support from our butlers, Maili and Mariela. Also, a shout out to Pedro at the lobby bar - he was great! We will definitely be back!
The hard sell upon arrival and several instances for the VIP services program (and even at checkout) - it is just not in our interest based on our travel preferences.

Beautiful new resort with lots of choices of pools and restaurants and great food. The hot tub on the balcony of the room was a nice feature
Sometimes it was too windy to use the rooftop pools. Also some indoor spaces were over air conditioned and too cold to enjoy. It was expensive

This is the upscale part of Secrets Moxche resort which they share several common areas. Let me start by phrasing that this was good, very good indeed. However, I found missing points in this stay where it felt somewhat short of the forehanded expectation. Maybe that was my problem but let us be clear, this is expensive even for the Cancun top-tier all included standards. But hey, you really get what you paid for in most ways!!
The great:
1. The service. Just top notch! Everyone seems efficient and friendly.
2. The food! It was really a gastronomic experience dinning in the several restaurants available. I must definitely highlight El Cielo in the impression side! It was a truly deserving Michelin star food experience there.. the tacos, the shrimps, the salads, everything was beyond perfect. Regarding the rest of the restaurants, they were all consistent, always great dishes, one or another off, but overall the food quality is very high in this resort. Oh and I got the best cheeseburger ever in the grill besides the main pool (three times)!
3. In no way behind the food quality were the drinks!! Although not consistent throughout the property I got many amazing cocktails, generally better than in other hotels of similar prices. They know their thing for sure!
4. Restaurants availability. It can be personal but I appreciated that it wasn’t necessary to book in advance the restaurants! It felt so good not having a strict schedule for the day (as in other hotels in this area). Ok, sometimes I had to wait for a table but actually it was nice to walk around and sometimes appreciate live shows available in the main area at dinner time. For me it didn’t bother but I would say there is a lack of staff in some restaurants since sometimes there were available tables that could not be ready due to lack of staff.
5. The room. It was one of the biggest and beautiful rooms I EVER stayed. Very modern but still Mexican in the details, huge outdoor marble tub was really perfection!
The not so good:
1. Sargassum. Ok this is not the resort fault, and they were doing their best but in this area the ocean was impossible to get in, everything was dark brown, such a let down. I came previously from Playa Mujeres were the ocean was turquoise blue.. it was a shame (maybe consider installation of water nets off the coast?).
2. The Pools. This is controverse, there are several pools, huge and beautiful. The main circular one is an eye catch achievement, but the water is freezing! The darker central pool is the warmer but only really enjoyable when the sun bursts. They all should be heated!!!. Not to talk about the rooftop impression building pools which are so elegant but totally unusable due to the wind and water temperature. Overall, the impression rooftop was a let down, too windy and cold! Maybe they should consider a definitive rooftop cover of some sort… The pools are big but should be way warmer and more cleaning focus on them as the sea was unusable. The jacuzzi on the impression side seemed really dirty.
3. They should have a functioning app to order snacks and drinks!
4. The gym. Considering the rest of the resort it is in a closed space, not welcoming at all, and with poor AC there.. it seems you enter another hotel suddenly. Good equipment though.
5. More staff on the pools bars, they work hard but the drink demand is just high! And way more staff focused in pools cleaning and surround areas.
6. Doesn't feel as mexican as other resorts in the area (sometimes feels USA beach style).
Overall a really good experience in top notch facilities with big well-groomed grounds, amazing food, drinks and service, and huge modern rooms with amazing marble tubs in the balconies and amazing bath amenities. Beach and sea however unusable and some issues regarding pools water temperature and cleaning besides other minor issues. Should I stay there again? Definitely! But as now not on the impression side!

lots of pools, water was refreshing and warm, beach is right there. So many beautiful backdrops. Food is absolutely top notch. Lots of varied entertainment
nothing really, just a little windy on the rooftop, which might be expected.

The hotel was absolutely amazing, so beautiful, the room was stunning, the pools exclusive to impressions guests were so lovely and secluded so we basically had them for ourselves
The food was good, but not amazing in all the restaurants, the impressions restaurants were by far the best
