Everything was lovely! Our room was comfortable and beautiful and Donna was super helpful and friendly.

Beautiful guest house, with a lovely garden and drawing room, in a stunning part of the Cotswolds.
Room and bathroom were very well sized, extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. Donna was an excellent host and very welcoming! Would not hesitate to return or recommend Halford House.
As an aside, Bourton-on-the-Water is a perfect town to stay in - it's unbelievably pretty and has a number of food options (even in the evening). If not driving, it is easily accessible from Moreton-in-Marsh train station via the local bus service (Pulhams).

A wonderful stay in a comfortable and stylish hotel. We loved the log fire, comfortable bed and proximity to the centre of Bourton.
All was excellent.

We loved our stay! Couldn’t have been happier. We booked on route to the Cotswolds as it was a last minute trip & were surprised to find rooms still available (we assume its due to January being the off season)
The owner (& family) were lovely, friendly & informative without being intrusive. The house is beautifully renovated, well presented & super clean. We were told that renovations would be happening during our stay but we’d have never known. The house was immaculate.
There are a couple of cute dogs bobbing around too which for us, is a massive bonus.
The house itself is located in the middle of town, so the onsite, private parking was a dream.
Fresh juices & treats are available for guests too which we thought was a great touch.
I probably shouldn’t say this, but we left feeling as if we’d underpaid. Our two night was honestly lovely.
Nothing.

Bourton on the water is so picturesque, if you are looking for a truly English Christmas vibe, then you’ll definitely get it here. Can’t wait to go back in the spring and summer months.
Halford House is in the centre, whilst our apartment was self catering, we could eat there or in the many cafes and restaurants within minutes of the house.

Extremely central and beautiful building in the centre of a picturesque Cotswold town! Lovely and helpful staff, spacious room with a bath. Everything was clean and lovely.
Would have been nice to have had a full-length mirror and some more light staying in the attic room, just 1 window.

Secure parking and excellent location
Clean
Did not see the host throughout our stay.
There were no normal teabags in the room only herbal and fruit teabags and no milk for the coffee. We also thought £150 was a little too expensive for one night! It was very hot in the room but we had to keep the window shut as on a main road.

Couldn’t lock the door

This is a well loved home that Donna shares graciously with guests. We visited during a warm spell and she had fans in each of the rooms which made sleeping easy. We were two couples traveling together so the come space was wonderful. She provided ice for us to make cocktails and plates for us to share some of the local cheese and crackers we had picked up.
Bourton-on the-Water is a quaint village with lots of countryside walks available. The house is right the center of town but has a walled yard so it is quiet and has great seating to enjoy.

Donna was a lovely host. The house is very quaint. Room was clean and cosy with lots of storage. The bed was super comfortable. Loved the animals, the cosy fire and treats left in the drawing room (including prosecco for NYE). Location was perfect for travelling around to all the small villages and towns of the Cotswolds. Would highly recommend and would return in future.
