It was really nice to stay in a zone in GUA-City that isn't tipically a tourist place; it was quiet, you can see and feel the neighbourhood and get more into the local feeling. The room was very spacious and I had a small balcony to chill (and a look at a nearby mountain range). The accessibility was very good with a wide range of busses starting at 5' walking distance, where you could also catch taxis or collective vehicles at any time. You are at walking distance to the marvelous Miraflores musem as well as to the archeological site Kaminalyuyu, a wonderfully relaxing place.
nothing to complain about; I'm a bit special on breakfast (prefer granola and fruit instead of beans, eggs etc.), so talk to the owners to agree on something - they're really nice

A szállásadók nagyon kedvesek, udvariasak és barátságosak. Nagyon tiszta és rendezett ez a szállás. Bátran ajánlhatom mindenkinek.
Nem tudok olyat említeni.

Bad customer service, bad attitude, unprofessional in all ways, I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE. DO NOT GO THERE.

Clean, well located for our trip early the following morning and friendly staff that spoke excellent English. We were thankful that they were able to organise pick-up at the airport for a few given that we had a late arrival into Guatemala City. Thanks for a great start to our trip.

Very clean. Great service. Greet food. Cheap airport ride.
There was an odd noise which sounded like it could be a mice in the bedroom. I do not believe it was the dog, the noise kept me up all night.

Perfect! Spacious room with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Just perfect after a long flight. The owner of the hostal came to pick us up at the airport and even waited patiently for us to get through immigration. We felt very much at home.
¡Muchos gracias!

Bianca and Marco are the definition of helpful & kind! If you want a good stay in Guatemala city look no further! Comfortable bed, great breakfast and also here you find so much help when it comes to arranging some details of your trip, the airport transfer is offered for a small fee is so convenient, Paula who came to pick me up is just as kind as the hosts and we could arrange for her to help me catch my bus next morning, she took care of me so well! Bonus they have a Mia, the cutest lil Guatemalan dog! And also I got to take away a piece of the Mayan traditions in the form of the worry dolls! So thoughtful & kind people! I had the most restful sleep & was waking up happy and full of gratitude for my stay! And decoration is so so cool! Loved everything about the place!

Lovely family, speaks English well, helps you get around the country - they even allowed us to store our luggage with them for a night.

The staff were extremely helpful and arranged a pick up from the airport, for a small fee, when we arrived around midnight. They even upgraded our room because a larger room was available the night we checked in. The room was spacious, towels and soap were provided, and there was decent wifi. We had the choice of a pancake or traditional breakfast and we opted for the traditional breakfast which was delicious. The host helped us to find a place to purchase a SIM card. We stayed a very short time, less than 12 hours, before departing for Xela but would recommend this place to others looking to stay in Guatemala City.
Nothing that I can think of.

I loved everything single thing about my stay. Brancaster and Marco are the best host, helpful and fun to be around. The breakfast was delicious and home made dinner too. The bed was super comfortable. I have to thank all the members of the staff in particular a friendly lady that make my delicious Guatemalan coffee at 5.00 Am just for me ❤️ Loved my experience and highly recommended 🇬🇹
Everything was perfect for me.

This hostel is owned and run by a young family. The hostel is named after their son Lucca (I guess - or it is a big coincidence 😉). I arrived late and had to leave 4am the next day catch a shuttle to Copan. Normally there are Ubers to bring you from the hostel to the shuttle pick up, but no Uber wanted the trip, so in the end Marko, the owner, drove me. At 4am!!! and he was even chatty and smiling. Top guy and top service.

Service was great very friendly and English speaking. We enjoyed our clean room and great breakfast to start our day.
Not sure if we let the shower heat up enough but seemed to have little hot water. Might be our mistake.

nice breakfast, well equipped room
the bell was not working on the street, we had to contact the property on bookingcom chat - they should fix this, as not everybody has internet access.

Great, quiet location near a shopping center and 10 minutes from the airport.
The family made me dinner in-lieu of breakfast because I had a 6 am flight - that was so sweet!

The location is excellent: the hotel is located two quarters to the main street (Calzada Roosevelt) through which buses pass to major tourist attractions such as Chichicastenago, Antigua and Lake Atitlan. In the same street there is a very large shopping centre with all the conveniences.

A thoroughly well deserved 5* rating! Bianca and Marco were the best hosts we have ever had on our 7 month trip!
Exactly like the pictures, cute, comfortable and homely. We felt at home and worked in the living room happily with good fast wifi!
Our room, again, was exactly like the pictures. Really big! A VERY comfortable bed, we loved the fairy lights and the decorations. Big, good quality TV with Netflix :), big private bathroom with hot shower.
The hosts were both warm, friendly and welcoming. They will give you great advice on any part of your trip in Guatemala! We were extremely lucky to spend the day with them and Lucca in Antigua, it was like our own private tour.
Thank you both!

Everything about our stay was excellent. From booking, the hosts were very easy to communicate with and were most helpful with any queries we had. They collected us from the airport for a small additional fee which really took the pain out of organising our own transport after such a long flight. Everything we needed was available in our large comfortable room and we woke the next day to a delicious breakfast of pancakes and fruit. Having enquired about getting a shuttle service to Panajachel, the hosts again drove us which ensured that the journey was shorter than public shuttles as there were no stops and at a similar price to shared public shuttles with many stops. Throughout this journey, they were very friendly and told us about life in Guatemala, some history and made some reccomendations for our trip in Guatemala. I cannot reccomend Hostal de Lucca enough. It was a great way to start our Guatemalan trip.

Marco and his family are lovely. The pick up and drop off at the airport is 5stars, take advantage of it! I really enjoyed my stay. Room with private bathroom was spacious and even had Netflix but was too tired to enjoy it. I wish I had a longer transit night!
Would have loved some bacon or sausage in my breakfast :-)

Hostel Lucca is a very nice place to stay. The room are super confortable (especially the bed), the breakfast was really nice. Marco and Bianca were so welcoming , they even offer to drive us to our next destination on the worst trafic day in Guatemala. Couldn’t recommend more to stay here !

would like a more clear hostel logo or name out front to easily recognize it

Bianca and Marco run their Hostal with a lot of heart and spirit! The rooms are big, one is with a balcony, and beautiful decorated. You feel a lot of the local culture in this place. We would go back there for sure

oh my goodness there is not a bad thing I can say about my stay here. Marco and Bianca, the owners go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional. My little dog was welcomed with open arms and even played with one of Lucca ( their son) toys- . breakfast was amazing and made around your time schedule- wish I had more time there but will be back in the future . There are some really good people in this world and this family ranks high. Thank you for going out of your way to accommodate us.
that we only stayed one night

The hostel was quaint, cozy, and comfortable! And the room smelled amazing and clean! Also, enjoyed the Netflix :)
The owners of the hostal are incredibly kind, personable, and their son is absolutely adorable! I felt very welcomed and safe! Very kind hosts! Definitely recommend to stay!

The room was very clean, comfortable, and funcional. Also very cute. Nice big TV with recliner and extra chairs. Very nice and helpful hosts. Good breakfast. Felt safe. Close to airport.
It was a little hard to find because there is no sign, but when we contacted the hosts, they helped us find it without problem. It is exactly as marked on Google maps. I understand that it is probably unmarked for security reasons which is fine.

Beautiful place to stay. The rooms are tastefully set up as the whole Hostal. There is coffee all day and home-cooked meals for a reasonable price if you like. The WiFi is fast and there’s Netflix! Marco and Bianca offer a very welcoming and warm home-like place to stay. They are also happy to give any kind of information and tips for further travel.

Could not fault one thing about this place. Absolutely outstanding! Huge room with balcony and outdoor furniture, big comfortable bed, TV with Netflix, massive bathroom.. what else could you ask for?! Owners were so welcoming and made you feel so valued as a customer, even offered to take us around the city to show us the tourist sites! Super kind. If you are considering staying here, do! Only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
