Great stay in Sintra

Beautiful, clean and cosy room with a superb view over the old town. Close to points of interest like the National Palace, Pena Palace and Moorish Castle, which can all be reached by foot (a moderate health ke to Pena and Moorish) or by tuk tuk or bus. To get to Monserrate Park you'll need transportation. The staff was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Very good WiFi. The villa has free parking, that needs to be booked in advance. We will surely be returning to this Villa.

Élégant and exceptionally well appointed Villa- a veritable gem!

Perhaps the most beautifully and tastefully decorated residence we experienced during our two weeks in Portugal. After 5 years of renovation,Villa Bela Vista reopened in January. It is magnificent. Bedrooms face north with expansive views of the Palacio Nacional and surrounding countryside of Sintra. Aménities and furnishing are of the highest quality throughout. Lovely breakfast of fresh fruits, cheese, meat, jam, rolls and delectable croissants.

Sintra be a challenge to navigate with its narrow single lane roads. There is public parking 50 meters from the entrance, but availability can be challenging, hit or miss. To avoid frustration, it would be wise to telephone Alesandra to coordinate your arrival and facilitate drop off luggage at Villa’s front door on this challenging street.

The property is absolutely beautiful, the rooms awesome and breakfast was perfect. Location was also excellent and very close to city centre and important sites to see

Excellent. We definitely recommend to stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very conveniently located and very clean. The staff is very friendly and the host very helpful with suggestions. The breakfast is extremely good. Exceptional view from the terrace!

Just one minor negative remark. We stayed in one of the two rooms downstairs, which we found a bit humid. Maybe it was just the season (?)

Wow! The view from our beautifully decorated room was breathtaking. The staff was amazing, the breakfast was delicious and what an enchanting place to stay. We loved our stay and hope to return.

Enjoyed our stay in Bela Vista, highly recommend!

The property is beautiful and cozy with awesome views, hence the name “Bela Vista”. Loved the Breakfast, it was served in a pretty dining room with views of Sintra. The room was clean, modern decor and comfortable! The staff went above and beyond their service standards. They let us do early check in and held our bags after check-out to let us tour the city. When we returned to pick up the bags, they were kind enough to offer coffee service for us, even after their kitchen was closed.

Gorgeous design and super comfortable.

Opened only two years ago after a giant renovation. Gorgeously done. Only place we stayed with heated bathroom floors, too. Great location juat five minutes walk from shops, sites, and restaurants.

Our stay was very special. One that we will always remember.

The breakfast was awesome! We couldn’t wait until morning! The staff is charming and the food and variety were really nice. The breads were very yummy and so was the fruit, eggs, cheese and meats. The location was perfect. We had the best views of the city and were close to everything. We felt very much a part of the city.

I cannot think of anything that could be done better. Very satisfied! Everything was great from the location, the well appointed room, the bedding, the beautiful bathroom, the food, concierge, and kind, friendly service.

Tout était parfait! La petite maison est magnifiquement décorée, pleine de charme, et minutieusement entretenue. Il ne manque rien. Quant à son emplacement, on ne peut faire mieux. Pedro est hôte attentionné qui aime profondément sa maison, sa ville, sa région…et le bon café. Il nous indique quoi privilégier selon le temps sur place, quels restaurants essayer, etc. Quand on part on a l’impression de quitter un ami. Merci pour tout!! Jean-Pierre et Catherine

Will be happy to stay again when we go back to Sintra /Lisbon.

The breakfast was amazing, with fresh foods, fruits, and pastries. The staff were very helpful, courteous and nice. Our room was as expected, the bathroom was really nice, the roo was cleaned every day and we got fresh towels every day too. Location and view from the hotel are magnificent. There are quite a few good restaurants nearby within 5 minutes walking. This is a great hotel to stay at Sintra, close enough to the national museum but not too close, so not overcrowded by the tourists.

Not enough hooks or places to hang the towels and clothes in the bathroom, so we had to use the clothes hangers. This is minor, so it's not a deal breaker.

Great comfortable hotel and location excellent!

Our 5 night stay at Villa Bela Vista was the best, we were very comfortable. A very well appointed hotel - it had everything we needed and more, our room was spacious and the bathroom even had a heated floor. Alexandra and her staff were exceptional, always helpful, friendly and courteous. The ‘included’ breakfast was very fresh and substantial. We could not have asked for a better place to ‘chill’ for a few days than at the Bela Vista. Highly recommend Villa Bela Vista!!!

Parking is at a premium so make sure to communicate with Alexandra if you are coming by car and needing parking (With heavy one-way traffic in the area it’s a long way back round if you miss it.)

Fantastic in every way.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The room was amazing, from the view to the accommodations, we would not change a thing. Breakfast was delicious and the service, from check in to check out, was spot on.

If I could change one thing it would be to have more paid parking accessible. There are only 2 paid spots available for the hotel and they were both full when we arrived. Fortunately, one of them became available on our 2nd day, but we had to pay for a spot the first day.

Beautiful location impossible parking and traffic.

It is truly a beautiful view!! Our room had a little table and chairs on the balcony which was nice. Alexandra and the staff were very nice. Alexandra is knowledgeable and so helpful and speaks English too. Close to center of old town

Not understanding the parking situation. GPS is wrong. Phone maps works but if there are no spaces available you will have to drive all the way around the Old City (24 min round trip thru winding narrow roads) to get another chance. If there is a space the meter takes only exact coins ( no card, bills or app).

Absolutely amazing stay! Friendly staff and nice people staying there as well!

Beautiful property with lovely rooms. The breakfast in the morning was amazing! Ideally situated close to everything we were interested in seeing.

It would nice to have some sort of laundry available for travelers. The host directed us to a facility not too far away, however.

The front door opens directly at the street, so be aware of traffic while entering and exiting the building, and while entering and exiting vehicles. Bathrobes not provided Only a fast tea kettle with teas, instant coffee, and sugar/sweetener are provided in the room. No powdered milk. However, the coffee, espresso, and cappuccino at breakfast are great. No parking—but don’t even think about bringing a car to Sintra! The traffic can be very bad, the routes are confusing with a lot of one-way streets, and there is no parking. Uber is cheap and the drivers know best how to get you around to the points of interest.

Dont book if you need parking space in August!!!

If you need parking do not go with this hotel in august! This accomodation only offers 2 parking spots even though they have 9 units. I feel cheated as i specifically chose parking to be included when i filtered for hotel choices. Ended up having to pay for parking. I also let them know in advance i needed parking. Its also a one way street so if you cant find parking which happens most of the time you waste 50 mins having to circle around to keep looking. Upon payment, asked for an invoice and told i need to wait for 10 days to recieve which is strange.

Relaxing with spectacular views!

Villa Belated Vista is an amazingly beautiful hotel. It is perhaps the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It’s a small boutique hotel and the location, staff, view and location is phenomenal! The room was perfect with a lovely view of Sintra. The bathroom is so beautiful with a beautiful view as well. Everything was black and white marble. Breathtaking! Breakfast was fresh and delicious with warm breads, eggs and croissants and fresh fruit. The staff were so attentive and friendly and always had time to make recommendations and answer questions. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel and can’t wait to return.

Wonderful, caring and most helpful staff! Great breakfast!! The whole place was so clean and beautifully decorated. Fabulous location. Ample cupboard space. Fantastic view (Villa Bela Vista is an amply suitable name).

Great place for a short stay in Sintra! I imagine would be great for a longer stay too!

The location of the hotel was great. It is close to the action but not so close that it feels crowded. It has a beautiful view down towards the town activities. The breakfast was very nice and prepared with great care individually for each set of guests. The room was also very nice and peaceful, quaint stay. The team taking care of the guests also provide great care and consideration to the guests in terms of meal reservations, itinerary planning, and even let me take a shower before departing after I had already checked out on a hot day! Thank you!
