Prachtige locatie midden in het centrum.

Middel in het oude Matera. Geweldige locatie. je kan er dus niet komen met de auto. Die parkeer je in een parkeergarage even buiten het oude deel. € 26,- voor 1 dag. Daarna moet je wel even lopen en trapjes op en af om er te komen. Maar dat is het waard. Wij hebben een appartement met balkon. Het appartement was netjes en de locatie top. De appartementen liggen rondom de ontvangstruimte van de foto. Wij zijn daar alleen ontvangen en er verder niet meer geweest. Maar er is wel een bar is. En je wordt ontvangen met een lekker glas koud water.

- het matras was hard en lag op een plank in plaats van een spiraal - de muggenhorren waren stuk helaas - er staat dat het ontbijt op een andere locatie is maar dat hebben wij niet kunnen vinden dankzij de summiere aanwijzingen van de ontvangende dame. later begrepen wij dat het restaurantje ook niet open was geweest. Dat was wel jammer want het had een hoop lopen en zoekwerk gescheeld.

Convenient location and great view, however staff were rude and unwelcoming.

Excellent location. The owner was kind and took the time to show us the best spots to see on a map. The room has a beautiful view of the Sassi.

The lady who greeted us was rude and made us feel very unwelcome. We arrived at the stated check in time, when she realised we didn’t speak Italian she turned to the people who she was already speaking with and gestured rudely at us and sounded like she was talking about us for minutes, the person she was speaking to translated a couple sentences and that she had said that check in is at 2.30pm and to wait - even though it was past that time already. The owner checked us in about 30 mins later and was apologetic, which is completely fine as being late happens. That evening I messaged the property to let them know our plans had changed and we would need to check out early in the morning, and asked if they would prefer us to leave the key in the room or reception. This was met with a fairly rude message that I should’ve messaged earlier and once again we felt we had inconvenienced them. This could simply be a misinterpretation via text, however our stay was made quite unpleasant by the interactions with rude staff. It would be unlikely that we would stay here again.

Comfortable stay at Casa Del Sole

Location is very central, size of the room and size of the bathroom. Felice was a wonderful host. He helped us arrange a hiking tour. Breakfast was also lovely- lots of choices.

The air condition is loud and it sounded like there was a windstorm.

In the heart of Matera

the hotel is just in the middle of the Matera. very nicely decorated room has everything you need. Great breakfas in the morning with a fascinating piano recital from owner. Super staff, recommended also a very good restaurant nearby. Would definetely stay one more time if come back.

The rooms are very nice &well decorated. The cleanliness of the rooms are superb👍

The location is fantastic, and the cleanliness of the rooms are superb. Lucio was very helpful in our transport upon our arrival which was a big factor for us.

We only have shampoo, no conditioner & body wash. The double bed downstair was too painful for my back due to the string of the bed, not that comfy.

Couldn't ask for a better location in the sassi. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were just fine. The staff we met were lovely and breakfast and coffee every morning was perfect. The double story room was very spacious and had amazing views over matera.

Disappointing and not appropriate for long stay with big langages.

The breakfast was ok. The location as well as it's centered. Very complicated to go there with big luggages. The bathroom was nonetheless clean enough.

The room was supposed to be for 4 people and we had very poor materas and very poor sofa-bed too Small for normal size person. It's was super wet and smelt sweat as well. No air, very Small window.

Great location, in the centre of the Sassi area. Very friendly staff who go out of their way to accomodate their guests (including making a gluten free breakfast!)

The wifi didn’t work in the room at all and the fridge didn’t work properly - a small price to pay for a good location though!

Excellent location and a really beautiful room. Breakfast was nice.

The extra sofa bed wasn’t comfortable. It was to short. It would be nice to be able to buy some drinks at the lobby.

A perfect location in a picturesque town. We wish we could have stayed for longer! I would definitely recommend you book

The view from the suite is #1 The flat was nice and clean and staff were friendly. Breakfast is provided by a cafe nearby. Oh and the view 😍

No provisions provided - a bottle of water and tea/coffee would be nice, particularly when staying for a short time as the shop is not very close. The Wi-Fi didn’t work when we stayed but that is a temporary issue (and didn’t spoil our stay).
