With high speed WiFi and close approximity to the city (just 1 hour from GW), you are not really too far from civilization either.

Great little place to stay. Didnt soend a lot of time at the house. The beds are very firm so prepare if possible. 3star overall as sleep is needed and hard beds are no good.

The house was conveniently located to woodbury commons but on a difficult street. The parking caused anxiety but it worked. All of the walls were damaged and/or require a serious paint job, looks as if someone threw a wild party. Many cob/spider webs. The front outside was unclean and uninviting. If the property was well maintained, it would be a perfect romantic get away.

We rented this house to stay during a competition at Rockland Community College. Was about a 25 min drive there. Was a nice place to settle in and plenty of space for everyone. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels. All appliances were new and clean. The fireplace was great to warm up next to since it rained all weekend. All in all a great experience.

1. Sparse furniture. Granted we only had 4 people, however, the place slept 6 -- not enough seating. 2. The only lighting in the living room was a very bright ceiling chandelier. No tables/lamps - not as shown in picture 3. The master bedroom sliding door did NOT lock - the only protection was the wooden piece blocking the slide. 4. There were only 2 dinner plates and 3 salad plates. The rest were plastic; only 3 glasses and 2 coffee mugs. 5. Supplies were less than minimum -- the salt and pepper shakers were disgusting. 6. There were boxes that appeared to be trash on the front porch. 7. The yard was a mess. 8. The mileage stated from West Point was grossly underestimated. 9. There was a used piece of chewing gum left on a window sill in the master bedroom. 10. Probably not the owner's fault, but there was a rooster crowing at 5AM ON THE FRONT PORCH. 11. The smoke alarms were not working. 12. The site checked off various safety phone numbers were provided -- they were not. 13. The VRBO stated this was a newly renovated place - yet, the walls in the hallway were terribly marked up with black streaks, as well as fingerprints on the walls by the kitchen table. 14. Several of the window blinds were broken. We own a home we rent and have done so for over 25 years; therefore, we are more than cognizant of what should be expected at a rental.

Nothing cozy at all about the place. Walls and doors were all dirty, or had the appearance of being dirty. Had to kill many giant ants and some other bugs throughout the house. Every single light in the house was super bright white with no dimmers and no lamps. We literally bought lamps to use while there and then brought them home with us. Not enough hangers or places to put clothes away. The yard was filthy— cigarette butts and all kinds of trash everywhere. Basically, none of the comforts of home so it was hard to relax there. Very unfortunate and I wish we would have known before we booked it.

Parking is rough on gravel, without 4 wheel drive, with snow, is very difficult. House can use some TLC but otherwise very nice.

Steep road to get to property; access road very narrow, small parking spaces, steep yard. House was adequate, recently updated. Two towel rods were broken in main bathroom. Skylight over bed in one guest bedroom was not ideal as there was no way to keep it dark in the morning. Could not get gas fireplace to work. Yard was a bit of a mess with some trash but at least there was a firepit. Comfortable house to spread out in and cook meals.

We had a wonderful stay in the home. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were different from the pictures but it turned out better for us. The kitchen was well equipped, lots of towels, nice bedding. I suggest you add to the description that there is a Keuig and pods for guests. I would have appreciated a step by step printed guide on how to get live TV. We never figured out how to get CNN. The yard is a work in progress. Seeing how beautiful the house is I’m sure the yard will be that too.

Nice and clean

The house was recently all done over which makes for a very enjoyable vacation destination. Stayed with my wife and two pre-teen grandchildren. The house worked out perfectly for us. The house in close to Legoland and dozens of other attractions to round out our vacation, from go-carts to horse back riding.

Spacious & clean home near Legoland

My 5 year old daughter very much wanted to go to the new Legoland and so we decided to make a whole Spring break vacation out of it. My mom and sis stayed with us and we were very comfortable. The house: Mom and sis each had their own room, and my daughter and I stayed in the main bedroom that had an en-suite bathroom which made it easy for me to attend to her 5 year old hygiene needs. All rooms had plenty of closet space. The main bedroom also had a sliding door leading out to the deck and then down to the yard. The home itself was very clean and orderly. There were all the basics you needed to be comfortable, as well as all the amenities you could ever need like a brand spanking new washer dryer and a newly minted kitchen with dishwasher. Lots of counter space. The town of Monroe: The neighborhood was amazing. As a NY City girl, I always feel upstate NY is shrouded in darkness at night. It creeps me out. But, this neighborhood of Monroe was amazing! It was both quiet and it was well lit. I wasn’t worried about getting attacked by a bear, or anything haha! It was about 5 minutes away from a clean and well-lit gas station/mini market/ carvel. Then, you head south another 10 minutes and you get to the heavy-hitters like Aldi, Home Goods, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Home Depot. Another 10 minutes from there and you’re in Legoland. It was so incredibly convenient!! I could not have asked for more. My mom and I even got to chatting with a neighbor and she was so lovely and friendly. The host: Tony was very accommodating and helpful. I’ve been using VRBO for about 4 years now and he is hands-down the most detail oriented and responsive host ever. He’s very kind. And, I ask millions of questions and he was both patient and incredibly informative. Just great! A few notes: This home is a brand new construction and we stayed middle of April 2022. At the time of our stay, the home still had more work to be done around the details. There was still room for more furniture (like a standing mirror or a 2nd night stand, etc). I think I even see the beginnings of a fire pit or something being built in the large yard. Tony mentioned he will be putting out a lounge area on the deck (it was still too cold and rainy for us to sit outside at the time of our stay). So, anyone staying after we did is sure to have even more to look forward to.
