We enjoyed our weekend stay at this cute cabin. It was very clean and as advertised. The host was great and very responsive. My wife enjoyed the sauna and we weren’t able to use the fire pit due to rain.

Visiting my son at USMA and wanted to stay outside the normal West Point area.
25 minute BEAUTIFUL drive from the academy on winding mountain roads. The cabin is an authentic rustic cabin with everything you need. The sauna was very nice too. Fast and responsive host. A great value!

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It was smaller than we had envisioned, especially the kitchen, but it fit our family of 6 comfortably. It was easy to stay in contact with the owner. They gave us a heads up that the grass wasn’t cut yet, but they came the next afternoon to cut it which was greatly appreciated. We had smores over the fire pit twice. We didn’t use the sauna because it was already plenty warm outside. :) If we visit Monroe again, we will definitely consider this cottage as a place to stay! Thank you!

Good place for a short stay. The odor upon entering the house was very unpleasant . Seems like it was closed up all winter, (musty) there was a dehumidifier running I'massuming to combat the moisture/odor). I had to wash our clothing twice upon getting home due to the odor in the house. There was an issue with the heat(owner contacted) as well, there were back up methods that were sufficient. There was also an issue with the breakers popping, easily rectified with communication of the home owner. The houses were very close together so not much privacy. The road to the house is very bumpy as described in the listing so beware. Thankful we had a truck to access the house. My kids enjoyed the sauna and we used the charcoal grill as well.(everything supplied) We didn't get an opportunity to use the firepit due to the wind but a nice little area. Cleanliness could have been better as there were cobwebs in an area in the dining area and debris under/in the furniture. The sauna could have used sweeping out as well. The yard could have used some maintenance as well(long grass and branches along the fence line, unappealing) Like I mentioned in the beginning, good place for a short stay.

The house was very clean and as advertised. The sauna was nice and all essential kitchen supplies were there. The rooms were a little dark due to all the wood paneling, but this could be resolved with brighter lights.

Cozy cabin with great amenities! We did not get a chance to use the firepit, but would have loved to. Very responsive owner. This is a good address to keep for future getaways!

First, the host was incredibly attentive, always quick to respond and accommodating. Now the cabin, it was a dream! The firepit added such a cozy touch, perfect for the chilly nights. The sauna was an extra which enhanced our cabin experience. The cabin is nicely decorated with a rustic appeal. We can’t wait to come back!

The cabin was great and thoughtfully laid out with many useful items in the kitchen and bathroom. Obviously very thoughtful hosts.
There is also a nice fire pit and sauna in the back yard and a large outdoor patio and grill for outdoor relaxation and entertainment.
They even provide a bluetooth stereo with indoor/outdoor speaker options.
The location is fantastic for hiking or exploring the Storm King Arts Center. It was five miles to our trailhead and five miles to Storm King. Really, it couldn't have been more convenient.
Highly recommended and I feel pretty sure we'll be back, to spend more time exploring all that the area offers.

The cabin was great! We walked in and it was decorated with cozy and cute fall decorations.

The cabin was very cute and very quiet and we were very relaxed. The host, Adderlynn, was very quick to answer our questions. We were only there one night but we throughly enjoyed our evening. The only complaint we had, was the road going into the property, which is not the host's issue. She let us know it was unpaved but there were a few spots that we scraped the bottom of our van. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed the cabin! I loved the woodsy interior decorations and the skylights in the living room, it felt so cozy and peaceful. And we really enjoyed the firepit in the backyard. It's in a private trail so you rarely hear cars or neighbors, so muhc peace and quiet. It was the perfect getaway!

The quaint and dreamy li'l place which took us back in time is cozy and well stocked with all the necessities and much more.
Every nook and cranny - from interior design to the front lawn - has been planned and organized to the last detail and left us with a long-lasting impression.
Loved the deck area and was also blown away by the meticulously stuffed bathroom and kitchen cabinets which highlighted the host's dedication to make our stay comfortable and memorable.
The host, Adderlyn, was quick to respond and also very accommodating. Five stars for her cabin, effort, and friendliness. Will go back!

The cabin, the property in and out is beautiful and cozy. The only problem is the road at Higgins Trail is an open road , many potholes and stones so that is a problem getting in and out if you need to go out a few times in a day.

I went up there with my partner in order to get away from the busy city, we got inside and it was a cabin. Really cozy, rustic, spacious and comfortable.
We ended up staying in and going out about the same just because it felt relaxing inside and we wanted to explore nearby. We explored the Black rock trail as well as the Orange heritage trail both less than 20min away.
We ended up outside by the firepit at night gazing at the stars for what seemed to be hours. 1 night was definitely not enough to enjoy everything and we will be coming back soon! This place feels like homeaway from home now and is on the top of our list when we get another weekend off.
Those host Adderlyn was great and answered all of our questions in a timely manner as well as welcoming. Everything was clean and organized. I especially loved the coffee bar since i had about 4 during my stay.
Thank you so much Adderlyn for letting us stay and we will definitely be back!!!
