About this house rental
Rare to find. Very cozy Alaskan Nordic creek side retreat in the woods. Centrally located in Anchorage with direct access to Campbell Creek and Campbell Creek Trail which is paved and offers access to over 100 miles of trail system throughout Anchorage.
- Professionally cleaned before each stay.
- Professional linen service using commercial hospital-grade sanitizing washers and dryers.
- Private off-street parking
Alaska Nordic | Creek Chalet no.2 is a peaceful and tranquil property located in a serene corner of the forest. It is incredibly vivid in the snowy months and begs one to come outside in the summer months.
The space is styled in Nordic fashion; simple, clean and elegant. 2bd/1ba chalet attached to owners unit. Luxury linens, high quality mattresses and location right on the trail hard to beat. The large South-facing front deck allows for morning sun with coffee and the upper back deck is great to enjoy a drink and watch the creek flow by.
The property has three units: this unit no.2 and also Alaska Nordic Creek Chalet no.1 and no.3. Each has private parking, entry and access to the backyard and trail.
Each unit is private, quiet and a different size so each can accommodate different group sizes.
If lucky, booking all units at the same time would facilitate an incredible home base for a large group or multiple families travelling together.
I am available to resolve issues, provide additional supplies and help with recommendations for your trip.
My wife and I were born and raised in Alaska. We are both explorers and adventurers so have a lot of personal experience in Alaska's outdoors. My wife has worked in the Alaska travel industry for a long time and is an expert with bookings and trip planning.
The property is located in one of Anchorage's first homesteads. As the family grew in generations the original homestead was divided over time into the smaller pieces we currently have. There are multiple descendants of the original homesteaders still living in the neighborhood.
This said, the property is very centrally located in Anchorage:
10 min to the Airport | 3 min to the Seward Hwy | 15 min to Flattop Mountain | 10 min to Downtown | 45 min to Girdwood
There is one off-street parking spot. There is also a city park that abuts the property where larger vehicles or those with trailers could park temporarily.
We have a private access trail to the Campbell Creek Trail and are directly next to a creek access park. The park has a nice small beach that is safe for kids. The Campbell Creek Trail is paved and connects to over 100 miles of city-wide trails for access to endless local adventures. Taku Lake is 1 mile South on the trail and offers a great morning view, fishing and sunshine. Peanut Farm Bar and Arctic Roadrunner Burger Joint are both .75 mile North on the trail and are both classic Alaskan watering holes with tons of historical pictures and a look at Alaska's short past.
Available by Request:
- Pack'n'Play | Dock'a'Tot | Sound Machine | Umbrella Stroller | Bath Toys | Toys | Books | Car Seat
-Two bikes are available once the trail is free of snow and ice after break-up
- IF you would like anything else, please ask, I more than likely can accommodate you.

Beautiful creek behind house! Nicely appointed

The unit is cozy in a timber building along famous Campbell Creek with a couple of bicycles to enjoy the bike trail along the adjacent Greenway. Very convenient to various shops and destinations along old and new Seward Highway, and the Airport.

Our family is well versed in travel, so we were very impressed with this property. Check-in and checkout were smooth and communication was amazing. Upon arrival the house was super clean and well stocked with coffee, laundry soap , sunscreen, and many amenities. In a beautiful area this home made our first time in Alaska a once in a lifetime experience.

We had a great time here. The house backs to a wooded area and a nice trail.

Beautiful setting, excellent communication, great location that is very close to airport yet you would never know.

We took advantage of the access onto Campbell Creek Trail every morning. One day we saw a moose in the creek.
The kitchen is well stocked. The house was very clean. No problems of any sort. It is also within 10 minutes of the airport.

Bed was the most comfortable ever, for both me and my spouse, though we've never agreed on any mattress in our lives!
(I asked the property owner which brand it was, but the receipt wasn't found. So it remained a mystery. But a very comfortable one.)

We loved our stay, so many little touches of home that make you feel like you are staying with family and not just renting a room for a night.

We had the most amazing stay! Beautiful!! The communication with the host was the best I’ve ever had in a VRBO. I appreciate that so very much and will definitely be back!

i enjoyed my stay at this cozy cabin on the creek. a thermostat in every room to keep the house warm and glowing. located close enough to downtown for convenience but also the backyard trail makes it feels removed from the hustle and bustle. dallas was super responsive and helpful provided good recommendations for hikes and markets and restaurants.

Communication was great! Suggestions on things to do and places to see were a very pleasant extra. Clean, warm/welcoming environment. Loved this place and will stay here again. Photos are true to the home. Easy access to the highway but not so close as to hear the traffic. Perfect get away.

Everything in this place was wonderful! On the drive in you might be a bit concerned, but you will not be disappointed when you arrive! The apartment sits on the river and bike trail. 2 bikes are included and we even got to see a moose on the trail! The decor is just as pictured and it could not have been cleaner. A little touch of having coffee and tea was so appreciated. This place was truly perfect!

We are so lucky to find this place to stay. Even though we were staying in the city, this cabin felt like we were in the country. It was so amazingly beautiful. To wake up with a stream running through the back yard. The walks were awesome. The path takes you to a little lake. The people all stopped and talked to you. Though we didn't use them, the bikes were so nice to have on hand. Next time we will bike on the bike path. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We loved our stay there in Anchorage. We highly recommend it!

Our family enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and updated. The owner was quick to respond to our messages and provide what was needed. There was plenty of space for the four of us. Having new vintage style bikes on the property to enjoy the nearby bike trail was an unexpected treat! We would definitely stay here again.

The backyard has a creek and a bike trail. House includes bikes. Location was great. This is a duplex chalet, not an entire house however the space is very nice. By pics I thought it was an entire house. I would def stay here again!

Creek Chalet 2 on Pearl St. in Anchorage was a great place. Make sure you look out the back windows as soon as you get there. It is only a block from a busy street in Anchorage, but you feel like you are 10 miles off the grid when you look out the window. There were a bunch of nice touches and it was very clean and quiet. The next time we go to Anchorage, this is the first place I'll check to see if it's available..

Wow is all I can say. This place had EVERYTHING. It was in an amazing location, close to everything. The beds and pillows were amazing, The ice cube trays were cool, and the shower head was hot and had pressure. I enjoyed the teapot and salt and pepper shakers. They even had bamboo toothbrushes if you forgot yours. And face wipes, hair dryer, Epson salt, etc, etc. They thought of everything. The plus is that it is on the creek. Awesome view. Easy check-in and out, This is a great property.

Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Very comfortable and clean. Bathroom nicely remodeled. Close to everything but with a cabin-like feel. The stream out back is beautiful, and we enjoyed the deck and patio and the yard leading out to trails and the footbridge.

5 adults stayed 3 nights to attend a wedding. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Convenient location to both town and south side. Host communicated well. Enjoyed the paved walking/biking trail that the property abuts. Saw a moose with her 2 calves in the neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had renting a place to stay for either vacation or work. Our property manager was extremely helpful, even when our flights were delayed and our stay delayed by 3 days. Dallas went over and above with little touches and answered questions to make our stay once we got there truly stress free and restful. We so enjoyed it there and will recommend it highly as well as hope to be back. Great place, great people, great experience. Thank you!
