Our family of 6 - all adults- had a wonderful stay at Pinecone Palace. The cabin was as photographed. Beds slept great. Everything worked. Plenty of space for us to be together and to spread out. We hiked in RMNP and Roosevelt. Spent time in Lyons - do your main grocery shopping in Longmont. The road up was very rutted, but our minivan did fine. We had a wonderful time!

We absolutely loved stay at this location! The house was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We also saw plenty of wildlife, deer, turkey, squirrels and rams ( maybe it was called something else, but it had horns like a ram). We would definitely stay here again when in the Lyons area!

Great place to stay.

My family was thrilled with our Thanksgiving retreat at the Pinecone Palace. The cabin was spotless and very homey. The kitchen was perfect for preparing and serving our feast. We especially loved the all the live plants, to us that makes like it a home, not a rental.
Eric was a wonderful host. He communicated everything we needed to know. The first snow of the season was expected and he left us what we needed to keep the beautiful porch clear of snow/ice.
It was so nice that we only had a short drive yet felt like we were miles away from everything.
It was apparent this was is their families 2nd home. We felt so lucky they shared it with us.
We would highly recommend this property and plan to rent again if still available in the future.

Loved the cabin. Clean and very well stocked. Glad we have all wheel drive though as the road is bad. Need hand towels in the bathrooms.

We absolutely loved our stay. Owner was responsive when we had questions. Nice property. We saw alot of wild life. We thought we would more secluded but didnt really see any neighbors outside. House was nice and spacious for us.

Enjoyed the stay

The fire alarm unit, on the ceiling, needed new batteries and started chirping at midnight on our first night. No one slept that night. We should have been refunded one night’s stay.

Beautiful place
My family & I spent Father's day weekend & it was just breathtaking. The kids played outside all day, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, hiked through the trees on the property & came inside as the days ended to enjoy the super spacious, beautiful, cozy cabin.
We'll definitely visit again 😍

Beautiful quite cabin in the woods
This cabin is great! Location is close enough to town but far from the crowds. 15-20 minutes to Lyons, 45 from Estes Park. The cabin had plenty of room for our family of 4, comfortable beds and everything we needed for our 5 days in Colorado. No AC but plenty of windows and every bedroom has a ceiling fan, weather was hot in early August but cabin cooled off nicely at night for sleeping. Would definitely stay again if we go back to the area.

Great location, tons of room.

The cabin is perfect for a getaway to the woods. It’s very large and accommodating. With comfortable beds and multiple bathrooms there is plenty of space. The only negatives are 1) no air conditioning in peak summer heat meant that it was too hot to sleep upstairs even with fans on high and windows open to maximize airflow, 2) we had several moths get inside and die while we were there, even with trying to close the door quickly, they still snuck in through screens in the always open windows, and 3) the road to the cabin is a narrow, bumpy dirt road and a very steep gravel drive up to the cabin. Be very aware of that if you’re taking a rental car, some options might not make it! None of this stopped us from having a fantastic stay, enjoying far more stars than we can see at home, numerous hummingbirds visiting the (provided) feeders, and having meals out among the trees with truly gorgeous views of the forest around.
