Loved the property…. Worked out well for my family. The beds were comfortable, and view was amazing! Would stay again!
8.0 / 10.0
We were absolutely thrilled when we entered the house. The stunning views immediately draw your attention to the back yard. The house was decorated very nicely and there was plenty of sleeping room for our 6 adults, one 6-year old, and a 15 month old. We did have to bring a pack-and-play for the little one to sleep in (which we left behind so hopefully future guests can take advantage of having that available.)
We ran into some issues with the wifi connection and received a response almost immediately. All communication was super fast whenever we had a question.
I could only rate 4/5 stars for a couple of reasons.
1.) The lack of seating in the living room. The property description states that it “sleeps 10” but there is only enough seats in the living room for 6 to sit comfortably.
2.) My husband smokes a tobacco pipe and prior to our arrival I reached out to ask if he could smoke it out by the fire pit if we would light a fire one evening. I was told it was a non smoking property and that no smoking was allowed. When we arrived to the property, there was a bucket on the side porch completely full of cigarette butts. I would recommend enforcing the no-smoking rule across the board if this is the case.
3.) We ended up leaving the day before our scheduled departure. We followed what was in the “handbook” but later received additional checkout instructions (washing linens) after we had already left. I would recommend updating the handbook with all checkout requirements.

The property is stunning with amazing views and a little family of bald eagles that hang out every day! It is a bit of a drive, but worth it for the view and the quiet. It would be great if there was a small supply of firewood and a grill for outdoor cooking! The living room furniture needs to be replaced, it's not very comfortable. Overall a beautiful, clean, wonderful home base for our PNW family vacation!

Everything was great, except the house wreaked of smoke. You can tell it’s been smoked in more than once and quite often. Very old stagnant smoke smell that didn’t sit well with us.
Floors left feet black and dirty, but other than that it was perfect!

The house was perfect for our needs and the location was great (beautiful view) however the house is in need of some TLC. Curled up carpets were a tripping hazard, the back outdoor camera flashed on and off all night, weeds growing out of the gutters. Beds are comfortable and we really enjoyed the heaters in the bathrooms (we were there when it was cold so that was great after a shower) but living room furniture is awful (not comfortable at all and felt like it might break if more than 1 person sat on it). Loved the fireplace (only decorative, not for heat) Water smells like cat pee and is yellow, which was a little off putting. Did not like being told after the fact that there was a restriction on people allowed on the property! We were there to see family and told only 3 people were allowed to visit at a time and should be gone by 10pm) What if your family is more than 3?. I understand they don’t want parties and noise, etc. but that was a little ridiculous! Couldn’t believe we were asked to start the washer with the sheets before we left, seems they would want to do that to make sure they are cleaned correctly. This management company needs to spell out the “rules” ahead of time and make clear in their welcome book what is expected upon check out instead of sending you additional instructions the day before you leave. A few changes would make this a great place!

Great location on the cliff. Nice kitchen/appliances. Pleasant neighborhood.

the management group sent me a form to sign, i was not allowed to print or review the form when signed, they demanded that i send pictures of my license and credit card, they demanded to know how many people would stay each night, after 5 they would charge my card, 2-3 visitors max and if more thy would charge my card so I cancelled my card. they had cameras to look at the back deck into the house, and one on the front door. this will probably be my last time with VRBO.

What a stunning location! Amazing sunset views and central to all Whidbey has to offer. House is well appointed in all beds/baths. Kitchen is great, with everything you need for a short stay. Rental company has great communication. Already thinking of coming back next year!

As it appears to me, this is a fully managed house by a corporation. It's beautiful, well furnished, very clean, has a good and quick customer service. But no one actually lives in here.
Beautiful view. But with no access to the beach as there is none, it's a cliff.
Additional kudos for the den/office: a wonderful space for writing or coding, with a view and comfort.
There is not much to do in here though. Smoking tobacco? Prohibited. Smoking marijuana? Discouraged. Drinking? There are no glasses from actual glass. Cooking? There is no grill, only a fire pit they don't offer the firewood for.
If this house had a grill, I'd give it 5*! For the price your charge, it's not a big deal to get one.

Sweet house, lovely view.
Had everything we needed, lots of room for us to enjoy meals and hang out.

We were a family of 4, 2 parents and 2 adult kids. This house had plenty of space for us and could accommodate a few more. We were there in December which is not high season, but we enjoyed the view looking out over the Salish Sea and the layout of the house was very nice. All necessary linens were provided as well as soap, shampoo, etc. The location was convenient to Deception Pass State Park and within a couple of hours of Olympic National Park and Vancouver.
Two small items - Verizon cell service is sketchy in the area, but wifi in the house was very good. Also, just prior to our arrival, we got a message saying that the thermostat was not working, but they were providing a space heater. Since we were there in December, not having central heat in the house would have been a major issue. When questioned, the property management corrected the notification saying that the heat was fixed. It was fine the whole time we were there. They were responsive at all times, but this was a little jarring to hear right before arriving.

The two stars for this property is only for it's 5 star location.
The view is so beautiful and close to great beaches. Initially we were so pleased with this home. At first sight was so tidy and clean but at closer look was only surface clean: dirty microwave, not super clean around the toilets and worn out things like curling up rugs that are a tripping hazard. Not as well stocked as advertised, cupboards very sparse and what is there is low quality. The living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable. The biggest problem was that on arrival the the thermostat didn't work, yep, not able to turn on the heat in Oct/Nov on the Washington coast! Rather than send someone right over I was sent a video link to how to work a thermostat that wasn't even the right thermostat. Obviously run by a management company from afar. We were told the maintenance man would come at 10:30 the next morning, after an hour of waiting for him (while on vacation) we contacted management who told us he wouldn't actually be there until the afternoon. After he did finally arrive he wasn't able to fix the thermostat or the non-working flood lights above the garage, which made it very difficult to find in the dark, and they said they would need to send a pro ... all this while we only had 4 days to relax on vacation. Three days after we arrived they had a space heater fit for 200 sq ft delivered. The only saving grace was that they had one of those fake fireplaces in the wall in the living room which put out a little heat but not enough to prevent constant cold noses. They did end up processing a very insufficient $120 refund and that was only after constant reminders that we hadn't received the refund yet. I would not recommend staying here.

House well equipped and roomy. Modern decor and great natural lighting. We utilized the kitchen for many meals and the living room and deck a great area for visiting. Beds very comfortable. Loved the little office off the master bedroom. Absolutely LOVED the gas wall fireplace. Lighting changed and was completely mesmerizing!!!

Wonderful property and views
Marbella was incredibly welcome after a long drive across Canada. The house was very clean, comfortable and perfect for our group. The kitchen is a great place for cooking family meals, and each light, drawer and cabinet is properly labeled.
The property feels very secure, with cameras pointed at both the front entrance and the back porch. Each of these is equipped with motion sensing light, so this helped in feeling secure.
While at the property, I reached out to the property manager to advise about an issue and they resolved it the next day.
Would rent here again.

Great House, Great Views!
The house was clean, well-stocked, and big enough that our family of six adults never felt crowded. The cliffside view of the sea and the islands was spectacular, especially at sunset. It was only minutes from town and an easy drive to some great parks for hiking.

Beautiful home, great location
This was perfect for my family, 2 older teens, grandparents, my hubby & myself. We cooked several meals & loved the kitchen. Comfortable beds! Plenty of room to hang out. We played games on the large dining room table on cold rainy days. This home is close to Oak Harbor & we just loved the water & sunset views. Would recommend this home & will stay again!

We had family members from three different households coming together and this was a terrific place for us. The four bedrooms were all comfortable. Very up to date kitchen and attractive living room area. The location is excellent, particularly for easy access to our outings to Oak Harbor, Coupeville and Deception Pass. The views from the bluff of Puget Sound are lovely. We had pink and orange sunsets each night
