Beauty and the Beach is elegantly appointed from top to bottom. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, this home sleeps 14 people. As you enter through the grand courtyard, you’ll notice a plentiful seating area with a gas grill—great for relaxing and entertaining.
Inside, the spacious open floor plan invites you to kick back and relax. Coastal hues permeate the space, perfectly capturing the beachy ambiance. The living room is outfitted with a fireplace and plasma TV. The gourmet kitchen is flanked by a breakfast bar with five barstools. The dining table has seating for eight. The first floor features are rounded out with a powder room and a sunroom that has two twin beds overlooking the back patio.
Floor two has three bedrooms—two masters, both with king beds and LED TVs and one with an iron queen bed and LED TV. The primary master has casual seating overlooking the courtyard below. The other two bedrooms lead out to the covered porch. All bedrooms on the second floor have private baths.
The third floor is accessible by a unique stainless steel staircase, and is a true gem. There’s one room with two sets of double bunk beds and a half bath. There’s also a large sun deck with views of Lake Destiny.
Outside of the home, you’ll want to experience the Destiny East community. There’s a pool, hot tub, two tennis courts, giant playground, covered outdoor grilling area with two gas grills, and million-dollar IMAX clubhouse and gym.

The house was beautiful, everyone enjoyed it. Especially our mom! Even though I booked and paid for it, I let my parents have the master bedroom/bath. lol but I will say, a home that sleeps 14 will probably have more than 3 vehicles. Baby, car seat, stroller, luggage, etc. I understand HOA has rules, but then maybe guests should have access to garage, so nothing is blocking sidewalk or parked in street. I was notified that I’ll be fined for 2 cars. Aside from that, nobody wanted to leave!!!

This house was a perfect fit for my our family. The checkin/checkout process was super easy. It is very spacious and very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with any utensil or kitchen item a person might need to cook with so we got to make homemade meals everyday. We will stay here again.

The property is as described, one half bath on 1st floor and half bath on 3rd floor. The three full baths are on the second floor. The rooms are nice, the master is phenomenal. The seating is very spacious in the dining and at kitchen counter. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and beautiful as well. Short drive to stores, restaurants, boardwalk and beach.The check in and check on was easy.

This was our first family vacation with my sister and her family. Everything was amazing! The house the perfect set up for our two families and the location was amazing! House was exactly as pictured and very clean. We did have an issuer with the oven and range but someone was sent out the next day to fix it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Things were find until we went outside. Large Rats started running around. I made a call to management, was told some incorrect information, because they knew rats were a problem the next door neighbors had Rat boxes. Needless to say we couldn't enjoy outside. And was fined $50 for putting the trash out to early.

This was our first time to Destin and the property was just beautiful. We spent so much time in the house. Our favorite part was definitely the kitchen, that island is amazing. I loved the amenities and the pool was bigger than we imaged.

Beautiful home and Fantawstic Location
This home and property was well kept and a great location. The parking experience was inadequate and somewhat scammish. If you advertise a home that sleeps 14 people , shouldn't you have enough parking or give them access to your garage so citations can be avoided? HOA rules have you constantly moving vehicles to avoid more citations. Yes we read the rules. Moneymaker for HOA. Maybe a warning first.

We really enjoyed staying here with our whole family! Very clean property with room for everyone. Kitchen nice and large. We loved the large outdoor table. Very short walk to the beautiful pool and tennis courts and not too far a walk to the beach.

A beautiful base from which to explore Destin!

We enjoyed the house. However, many things were dirty when we arrived. Trash was left in the house. Several of the bathrooms were not clean. The house is beautiful and great for families. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils.

More than Expected
We had the best vacation ever in this home. The pictures do not do the home justice. It is stunning as soon as you walk in the door. The open floor plan was great for our family and there are 3 different living areas so everyone had our own space. Gourmet kitchen was a dream come true since we cooked at home each night. Every room had a porch, the back yard was super large and the courtyard was cozy and private.
The club house is beyond description it is so beautiful and the kids got to watch movies in the theater while we hung out at the pool. We can't say enough about this home and Destiny East. Totally the best experience we've had in Destin!

Michigan Family Reunion
I did not start out renting this house. We rented a house down the street that had water problems. Rich and Cheryl took care of everything and got us right into this house. It is beautiful. Very big and had everything you needed. Close to the beach and to restaurants and shopping. The master bedroom is above amazing, very large and the master bath is beyond words. The pool is wonderful. The club house has a movie theater and tennis courts and a basket ball net. We had full run of it all. I would recommend this house to my family and friends. Even more I would rent any House that Rich and Cheryl have as they are amazing people. We had an amazing family Reunion and an amazing vacation.

Beatiful home close to beach
We stayed in this on our recent vacation it was only my husband and I and our two small children so the house was more than accommodating we had rooms we didn't even use due to this. The house was very nicely decorated the kitchen was very well equipped for anyone that likes to stay in and cook. Bed in Master bedroom was very comfortable please email me the brand I haven't slept in such a comfortable bed in a long time :) The location of the house relative to the beach was walking distance as long as you don't have two small children in tow which is why we ended up driving to the beach every day because a 10min walk would turn into a 30min walk.
Cons: The house doesn't have anything beach related if you're going there for the beach, there were no beach chairs, no umbrella, no beach toys this was pretty disappointing because we flew in and we didn't want to spend money buying all these things only to throw them away in one week. We did end up buying an umbrella only but didn't want to waste more money on beach toys for the kids only to throw them away. We have rented every year for the last 5years in Destin and every house we have rented has had everything including umbrella, beach chairs and beach toys. For this reason I can't give the house a 5. The house was pretty perfect for us and we would definitely return if the owner decides to invest on these things.

Great Home- Great vacataion!
Good afternoon,
I met Cheryl Briefly upon our arrival while she was watering plants.
I want you to know that my wife, son and daughter all had a wonderful time. The beach was perfect. Calm on some days and active on others. Water clarity was great with no seaweed. I credit you guys (Destin Comforts) for the beautiful Ocean!
We teach our children to leave things cleaner and nicer than how we found them. I hope the house was in great shape after handling the Ponsonby's!

Issues, inadequacies and a great deal of hassle
Rented this property along another family/friends for Spring Break 2014. This property is described as a "beauty" on the VRBO website. What it doesn't portray are the myriad of issues we encountered and the blind eye we received from property managers, and ultimately, owners.
* Master bedroom shower temperature was only scalding hot, reported to property managers, but was never repaired.
* Dishwasher broke down throughout the length of the stay, reported to property managers, and their solution was to turn off circuit breaker to deactivate it, which in turn also took away the garbage disposal.
* Internet was inoperative. No business could be conducted, and anybody relying on it had to find a solution of their own.
* Light fixtures were out in key areas, reported to property managers, and never replaced.
* Second Master bedroom had no TV, property management indicated replacement was coming, but never arrived.
* Leak under kitchen sink which flooded area was repaired - 2 days too late.
Upon departing, we wrote to property management to express our complaints. They ignored our letter. We also forwarded a note to the owners, only to be ignored as well.
All in all, the people responsible for the proper management and maintenance of this property are not committed to their obligations, and cannot be trusted. I wouldn't recommend this headache to anyone, especially for such significant amount of vacation investment and people involved.

Chefs kitchen
We traveled with 3 chefs who had a great time in this massive, gorgeous kitchen. The entire house is roomy and comfortable for spreading out on all 3 floors, 3 different balconies & 2 different patio areas. The open plan den/kitchen is great for watching sports together (i.e. NBA finals). The pool area was never crowded - very nice! The beach was a quick bike ride & not too bad of a walk. Only thing that would have been better is use of the garage, but we knew ahead of time it was locked for owners use only.

We stayed at "Beauty and the Beach" this past Spring Break. The home was more than we expected. Very clean, decorated nicely and all the amenities we could ask for. The kitchen is beautiful! We could not have asked for a better vacation home. Had a blast!

My family stayed here in June 2011. We had a great time. The house was fabulous! The pictures don't do it justice. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The decks on the 2nd and 3rd floors were roomy with super comfortable furniture. We spent a lot of our down time chilling on the decks. The corner lot is great because you get a nice cross breeze on the decks. The trolley would pull right up on our corner to take us to the beach. There's also an ice cream truck that comes by every day at 12 and 3 so the kids loved that. The resort staff was friendly and helpful and we will definitely be making a return trip! We had 5 families (with 3 kids) staying in the house and there was plenty of room for all of us. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The pool was unbelievable and the beach was as good as it gets. If you're on the fence about booking here, then stop it and book now! You won't be sorry. I wish we were still there and I can't wait to go back.
