We loved our stay at this beautiful adobe home near the heart of historic Taos. It was the perfect place to relax after a hard day skiing on the mountain:-) The kitchen was perfect for whipping up breakfasts, and we appreciated building a real fire in the fireplace for cozy winter vibes. The owner's carefully curated collection of artwork rivals the local museums and galleries. Thanks for opening up your home to guests.

Very nice. Extremely quiet neighborhood.
Close in to town center if you wish to walk.

Very spacious and nicely laid out- was perfect for four people. We enjoyed our stay and loved coming back to this house to relax after our outings.

The house was lovely-- lots of art and knick-knacks that were interesting. It was plenty big for 4 adults and had all the kitchen amenities you could want. The location was good. We walked to town which was nice because parking was difficult. The neighborhood was very quiet. So the house itself was good BUT the service fee on this rental was more than the rental fee. Not sure if its because its a Vacasa house but double check the total price before you rent!

We enjoyed our brief stay, great location and the house was fun to stay in with all the interesting decorations.

We stayed 5 nights with our 3 kids and the layout worked very well for us. There is art and chachkies everywhere, which add color and interest but also limit use of the space (and make for risk of damage with young kids). The location is great because it's a super quiet neighborhood but easily walkable to town - though a note about how to find the shortcut would be nice (we saw reference to it in the guest book but were never able to find it ourselves).
Other pros:
*Super clean!
*More than enough towels, toiletries, supplies etc
*Wood-burning fireplace, propane grill, laundry, and nice yard for kids to explore
Other cons:
*Ancient stove/oven made it difficult to cook (I would suggest replacing it - but if not, they could at least replace the knobs, for example, so you know what setting/temp it's on!)
*The wood ceiling creaks and pops very loudly, which negates the quietness of the neighborhood for a good night's sleep
*Vacasa doesn't actually know anything about the property, so good luck if you have questions
*Note that if you're relying on the twin trundle to have enough beds for everyone, you'll have to move some furniture around and get creative to get it out from under the upper twin so you can use it
Overall we enjoyed the place and it worked well for us, but it seems like Vacasa/the owners making a few little upgrades would be well worth the money/time.

Good place to stay for a few days. The property manager was very responsive when we shared the heat wasn't working in the bedrooms (there were space heaters + a HVAC technician showed up the next day). It just took a while for the heat to work.
The few things I noticed were
1. The parking can be a bit tight. We had a single vehicle - long bed truck that I managed to maneuver around other vehicles.
2. The beds weren't as clean as I would have ideally liked it.
3. The house crackled and creaked. Nothing anyone can do about that. I assumed it was the hot inside and the very cold outside (at least that's what I think was causing it). However little unnerving to hear throughout the night.
Other than that, it is a great place to stay.

While driving to this property from Santa Fe we saw bunches of adobe style house when Alicia said “I want to stay in one of those”. About 30 minutes later we pulled into the driveway and she was stunned. I thought I was going to have to roll her mouth up, all she could do was gasp. She made me get out and check the address to verify this was our accommodations. Once inside it was maybe more wonderful than the exterior. This property felt like home to us from the minute we walked in. A wonderful from patio (fenced in) with grill, you walk in to a beautiful dining room and kitchen. The decorations are beautiful. The water is hot and the beds are soft. We really enjoyed sleeping with the back door open with the screen pulled shut. The only reason we wouldn’t stay here every time in the future is if we bought something exactly like this.

The property was clean and as advertised.
The property was clean and cozy. It was very cold during our stay, but the radiant floor heating kept the place nice and warm. It was perfect for our family ski trip. After a day on the slopes, we could go back to the house, refresh, and head to any of the nearby restaurants for dinner. Excellent location in the center of Taos. The layout of the house was nice and allowed us space and privacy. I also appreciated having the washer/dryer available to do a few loads of laundry. Overall, it was an excellent stay. I would recommend this place.

We had a really great stay for Thanksgiving. It was very easy to communicate with Turnkey re: check in instructions, etc. The property was very clean and comfortable, and the perfect layout/size for our 3 kids and 2 dogs. We had a lot of fun with the location being so close to town, and an easy drive to various hiking trailheads. Thanks for a great stay!

Loved it, some helpful feedback
We very much enjoyed our stay. A few things to note:
The light in the shower is burned out.
We replaced ed the light bulbs in the bathroom vanity so there are no extras, you will need to replace
The yard had lots of dog poo, which I cleaned up but you probably need someone to do that regularly
The lint catcher in the dryer seems stuck, we couldn't figure out how to clean it
No Kleenex
Would have been nice to have more than one key
The internet was frustrating because it kept kicking us off several times a day
BUT, we LOVED the place and would love to come back. I don't need to nitpick, but thought you'd appreciate this feedback.

Great location, quiet neighborhood and a cute and eclectic house. However, don’t plan on working remotely while you visit. As many others have shared, the WiFi is horrible. Period. I was able to get in touch with the management company who gave me access to one of the other WiFi networks (there are a total of three—the regular one for guests that is horrible, a second one that I got access to after complaining and a third with the strongest signal). If you enjoy cooking, this is not the house for you to rent. The stove, cooking utensils, pots and pans all need to be thrown out and replaced with anything better than what is there. The stove is from the 1980’s. The knobs are so old and faded that someone has taken an ink pen and hand written the temperature indicators. The dishwasher is equally ancient. The pots and pans are from the sale rack at K-Mart. This is not a $500/night VRBO, but the owner should really invest into these things to make it really spectacular. Don’t misunderstand my review, the location is perfect and the house is cute. If you don’t cook, or need WiFi, it would be perfect.

Hands down, nicest house I've ever rented - I'm going back for a whole week!
This was Stop Three for us on a week-long girls' vacation. Sadly, we only booked for two nights at the end of our week. We all agreed we could have stayed here the entire week and been perfectly happy! The house is absolutely beautiful, evident in the pictures, but it also has a wonderful location and lots of little touches that make it feel like you walked into your own home when you first step in the door. I kept finding new things to look at every time I walked around the house. There's great outdoor space as well, even though we really didn't have a chance to take advantage of it.
The layout of the house is super - a bedroom and bathroom on opposite ends of the house with an open living room/kitchen/dining area. There's even a little tablet plugged in right inside the door to guide you through check-in and check-out.
Our time was limited as we wanted to drive up to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and Taos Ski Valley, which we did. We did go out to The Alley one night for dinner and drinks and it was FABULOUS!
All of us agreed we would love to go back in spring or fall and take full advantage of more time in Taos, as it is a real gem. And this house will be our first choice as a place to stay!

My family stayed in Taos for a holiday getaway. We were very pleased with the location, amenities, and the warm Southwest decoration of the home. It was a perfect base to explore the city of Taos with its many shops, art galleries, and restaurants. It is very convenient to Taos Ski Valley and the snowboarders loved the many ski runs and the beautiful scenery. We look forward to repeating the great time we had by visiting Taos in the future and we are hopeful we will be able to stay in the same house.

Reviewer Comments:
This was our first time in Taos and our primary purpose was to ski. We had two adults and three kids and this was a great property. We really enjoyed actually staying in the town of Taos versus on the mountain because it gave us more options for food/drink/shopping and the drive up was way easier than expected. Overall, the house was very comfortable and fit our family perfectly, including a great backyard for our dog. If we were to get nit picky, we’d say the property could very much use updates on kitchen appliances and the TV options. We are big on cooking ourselves when possible and it was hard to cook on the not so modern stove/oven. And the TV’s are very old and small (one is still a box option) which were totally functional but just hard to see altogether and operate in the modern sense most of us are accustomed to nowadays. All that to be said, it also very much fit the general sense of Taos and unique character of the town. Again, just nit picky. Generally speaking, totally fit the bill and would not hesitate to rent again. Thank you!
